Yistral’s bat familiar flies up a lot more flights of steps, and after a few minutes finds another, much more appealing landing. It comes off at a different angle to the one you’re currently on, and is made of marble slabs, ending in a circular double doorway with gilded engravings on its ornately carved white stone, ringed with fresh green foliage.

Daewen's eyes follow Yistral's gaze, a silent question in their depths.  When the githyanki gives a brief nod and conveys the information from his bat, a flicker of something close to astonishment crosses her face.  The descriptions are a complete contradiction to everything they have seen and felt so far.  The thought of fresh foliage in this land of decay is almost alien, and it commands her complete attention.

She turns away from the bleak door she was inspecting, her previous caution instantly overridden by this new discovery.  The existence of life in this place of oblivion is a far more compelling mystery than any trap.  She pulls out her slate once more and with a few swift, decisive motions, scrawls a message. She holds it up for the others to read: Upstairs? Life?! Let's go!

Mun is suspicious. She’s never encountered anything like this in a Knot. Different is .. good, but it’s also dangerous. She follows in her usual position up to the gilded door and landing.
