13. Tears of Virulence (x5) {T-13, T-11, S-11, X-12} -
05. Kobold Fanatics (x2) {Z-6, AA-14} - both concentrating on Spiritual Weapon (9);
MAP:
Posted in the OOC Channel.
NOTE: The red dot on the lower-right corner of the creature token represents Doozey's Hunter's Mark. The red sun symbol represents Raist's Flaming Sphere. The green shield & sword symbol represents Utar's Spiritual Weapon, while the blue down-arrow symbols represent the kobolds' Spiritual Spears.
Doozey cried out in pain, but would not so easily yield to it. The same went for Biscuit, who following another command from Doozey, changed up his rhythm, and went for a leg. Not to harm, but to keep the nearby traitor so off-guard that at least one of Doozey's thrust of the blade might find another gap in the armor to exploit and keep on the pressure, if not bring another former 'knight' down. Only after would the Mastiff follow through on his own attack, ripping apart a leg or clawing into the side of a different turncoat knight should his 'brother' had seen to the rest. And if by some good fortune another knight should fall, Doozey bites his lip hard enough to draw blood. Before with a sharp few words in sylvan, the fallen is compelled to rise, shamble, and strike down his fellow traitors!
Bonus Action(Doozey): Command Biscuit to Strike Back.
Action(Doozey): Attack with using Vexing Combination. (Lethal, Melee, Helped, Vex)Shortsword - Attack #1: 24 Damage: 11 of piercing to ToV Member(T-13). (Lethal, Melee, Vex)Shortsword - Attack #2: 25 Damage: 11 of piercing to ToV Member(T-13). (If first attack hit, here's the adv. roll for the 2nd attack: 13 (If Crit: 1)
Action(Biscuit): Vengeful Rending of a ToV Member(T-13). (Or T-11, if 13 is downed) (Melee, Lethal)Bestial Strike - Attack #1: 24 Damage: 9 of Force.
(IF ToV Member is taken out by their atacks, Doozey will also do the following below)
Movement(Doozey): To Y-13. (while avoiding moving through threatened area)
Reaction(whenever 1st applicable): Activate (Amped)Blood Curse - Fallen Puppet on fallen ToV member. Doozey takes 1 damage, but ToV' Member is to move and attack nearest other member within 15ft. (OOC: For the life of me, I can never remember if you had me do the roll or did it yourself Lerus. But in this instance regardless just for simplicity sake feel free to make the attack yerself to whichever Knight is within 15ft of the fallen at your distraction)

Utar decides to give CRAP the numerical advantage on the docks again. One of the Tears is going for a swim!
Bone counter is quickly reattached to his belt and then the Orc draws back and shoves the Tear at S,11. Meanwhile his spectral Warhammer floats closer to the Tear at T,11 and swings!
Action: Shove Attack: 18 Damage: 6. Tear needs to beat a DC13 Strength Check or be pushed 5 feet away.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
DM's Screen:
Shove (DC 18): 19
Flame Sphere (DC 17): 18
Biscuitdistracts while Doozey attacks with purpose, his blades finding flesh past the traitor's armor. The mastiff also draws blood a moment later. Despite his currently precarious situation, the enemy warrior still stands, though there is plenty of blood now dripping from within his armor. (Tear of Virulence#2 {T-13} takes 31 piercing and force damage.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Reasoning that the swim strategy worked well last time, Utar repeats it here, albeit with a more direct approach. Two hands on the nearby warrior's chest and a hard push are enough to send that enemy into the Moonsea. He splashes into the water in a disorienting manner. The cleric then commands his floating weapon to attack on his behalf. It catches its target on the back, leaving this Tear of Virulence member also bleeding profusely through his armor. (Tear of Virulence#4 {T-11} takes 10 force damage.)
Raist maintains his whack-a-mole strategy, popping up this time to let his [Tooltip Not Found] roll and then launch four slivers of magic at the kobolds in the rearguard. The sphere's target sees the incoming danger and moves mostly out of the way. That is not an option for those targeted by the missiles. (Tear of Virulence#3 {X-12} takes 5 fire damage, Kobold Fanatic#1 {AA-14} takes 8 force damage, Kobold Fanatic#2 {Z-6} takes 7 force damage.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Raist's hits on the kobolds are enough to throw off their concentration, causing both of their Spectral Spears to blink out of existence.
Neya keeps the pressure on one of the kobolds by releasing two more arrows. They both find their mark, but the kobold spellcaster seems to be still willing to fight. (Kobold Fanatic#1 {AA-14} takes 24 piercing and acid damage.)
Villonah chuckles at seeing one Tear of Virulence member being pushed into the water, but otherwise keeps her attention on the fight. She releases her own projectile from a distance, aiming at the enemy closest to Biscuit this time.
-> Light Crossbow vs. Tear of Virulence#2 {T-13}: Attack: 11 Damage: 9
Trying to climb back up: [skill]Athletics[skill] (DC 15): 19
Despite aiming for the kill, Villonah's shot is only a glancing blow, buying this Tear of Virulence warrior what is surely to be just a few more second of breathing. (Tear of Virulence#2 {T-13} takes 6 piercing damage.)
Hurt but still in this fight, the Tears of Virulence keep attacking each of their previous targets, with one of them moving away from the Flaming Sphere before attacking. The one enemy who was dueling Utar is currently in the water, so he instead focuses on trying to climb back up onto the dock.
Not maintaining his defensive stance comes at a cost, and Biscuit is almost forced to closed his eyes. Doozey's worry is visible: anyone glancing at the halfling can see him dropping his guard in that instant and also paying a blood cost. (Biscuit takes 18 slashing damage; Doozey takes 19 slashing damage.)
Farther from the melee struggle, Neya can once again see and prepare for the incoming bolts. She dodges them without much trouble.
The swimmer manages to get a hold of the one of the pilings, despite it being quite wet and covered in algae. Moving difficultly with the weight of his armor and the added water, the warrior has to focus entirely on hopping back onto firmer ground and then taking an additional step to better prepare against a possible follow-up push.
-> The Tears of Virulence are currently on the following spots: {T-13}, {T-11}, {R-12}, {X-14}.
The assisting kobolds moves to get some cover behind pilled boxes, popping out from behind them only briefly to cast spells. With a wave of their hands and some draconic chanting, they each produce a straight piece of scrap iron and try to hold two CRAPers in place:
-> Utar and Doozey need to roll WIS saving throws (DC 14) or be caught by the spell and become paralyzed.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Doozey was positively covered in wounds both fresh and reopened, and Biscuit looked as if a stiff breeze might knock him down any second. With both continue to growl in as much defiance as it was some form of communication between the two. Doozey struck first, aiming to end the life of the traitorous black fist with a few well placed strikes closer to the ground, before puppeteering the fallen into striking at his fellow traitor.
And should he fall, Biscuit feigns a lunge at the other Tears of Virulence to the west of him, before falling back to Doozey side. Or he would, if not for the halfling leaping up and landing the fey touched mastiff's back by the time the beast had pivoted and seemingly readied to charge down the boardwalk.
"That's it! Ya'll keep up the pressure on one target at a time! Raist! Focus on one 'bold at a time! Once they're down, add to covering fire on those near Utar!"Doozey called out.
Action(Doozey): Attack with using Vexing Combination. (Lethal, Melee, Vex)Shortsword - Attack #1: 28 Damage: 9 of piercing to ToV #2. (Lethal, Melee, Vex)Shortsword - Attack #2: 23 Damage: 7 of piercing to ToV #2. (If first attack hit, here's the adv. roll for the 2nd attack: 24 (If Crit: 2) (OOC: If 1st attack defeats ToV(#2), 2nd attack will go to ToV(R-12))
Reaction(whenever 1st applicable): Activate (Amped)Blood Curse - Fallen Puppet on fallen ToV member. Doozey takes 3 damage, but ToV' Member is to move and attack ToV member(T-11), add +4 to its attack roll.
Bonus Action(Doozey): Command Biscuit to shove ToV(T-11) into the water. (If ToV(#2) is still alive however, attack ToV(#2) instead with Bestial Strike)
Action(Biscuit): Attempt to shove ToV(T-11) into the water. STR/DEX Save(DC 15) or be pushed 5ft and fall into the water. (Below is alternative attack if ToV(#2) is still active threat). (Lethal,Melee)Bestial Strike - 19 for 11 force. (if crit, add: 6 to rolls.
Doozey sees in his mind what needs to be done and barks tactical instructions to the rest of CRAP. However, when it comes time to enact his part of the immediate plan, the halfling's arms fail him. Doozey's first attack is ill aimed and only manages to scratch his target's armor. His second blade's attack looks more promising initially, but it is met with a parrying maneuver (reaction) by the Tear of Virulence member.
(@Ori: I only got as far as "Action (Doozey)" in your post above. Given its resolution above, I thought you may want to reconsider the rest of your post. Doozey's action is used up, but the rest is up for reinterpretation.)
Doozey then corrects for this occurrence by telling Biscuit to step in. The mastiff bites a bit of the enemy's thigh and does enough damage to the vital artery in there to claim his life. (Tear of Virulence#2 {T-13} takes 10 force damage and is DEFEATED.)
As a last hurrah, this fallen warrior is commanded to turncoat one more time. He stumbles forward {U-12} and attacks his former ally:
-> Heavy Blade vs Tear of Virulence#4 {T-11}: Attack: 23 Damage: 13
Not expecting this attack by his now-dead companion, the warrior at the edge of the dock suffers one more deep cut, faltering as a result and clearly nearing death. (Tear of Virulence#4 {T-11} takes 13 slashing damage.)
Biscuit does not wait for this whole traitorous maneuver to resolve. The mastiff jukes away from enemies, pausing only to let Doozey hop on his back. HE then adds some distance between the duo and the melee {U-14}.
(OOC: I see that @Drache posted above, but I will favor resolving turns in initiative order unless we have delays. For now, @MB's and @Red's turns are still up.)
Utar stands firm, fitting his hand around the worn leather of Bonecounter. The mace decides it is time that it entered the fray, swinging at the Tear looking to sneak up behnd CRAP and remind them that that is a very bad idea. His spectral warhammer seems to sense that the Tear at T,11 is close to being put down and swings for the fences.
Action: Bonecounter Attack on Tear at R,12: 13 Damage: 10 plus 5 radiant damage on a hit from divine strike.
Bonus: Spectral Warhammer Attack: 14 Damage: 6
