(OOC - For dramatic effect, I'll say Boozey gives his speech and takes off, and then Utar follows.)
Utar looks at the distance and knows it will take a little time for him to cover it, even at a sprint. Instead he jogs out of CRAP's hiding place with Doozey and Biscuit before slinging a couple of spells at the blue skinned humanoids ahead of the mastiff and werebadger shaped missle to soften things up.
Move: To Z,24.
Bonus: Cast spiritual weapon his usual spectral warhammer materialising at P,23 before swinging at the nearest blue skinned humanoid at P,24.
Bonus Attack: 26 Damage: 10
Action: Cast sacred flame at the same target (at P,24). DC18 Dex save or take 13 radiant damage.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(OOC: Okay, for dramatic reasons, we'll say Doozey goes ahead of Utar this round.)
DM's Screen:
DEX save {DC 18}: 4
Doozey gets things started as soon as Utar finishes his 200-count. He asks his team to focus their attacks and then picks a first target by zooming into the square astride Biscuit. The beast is the first to attack, hoping to use its momentum to bring the target down, but the scaled knight's armor holds back Biscuit's attack
(@Ori: This assumes the 13 attack reroll above already included the attack modifier; let me know if that is not the case.)
Still atop his mount, hybrid-Doozey swipes at the same target. Still busied by Biscuit, the Cult's knight can't avoid the halfling's attacks. Doozey can see that most of the lightning sparks from his attack avoid the dragon knight's blue scales, but not all. (Cult Knight#2 {P-24} takes 26 piercing and lightning damage.)
Utar had followed the ranger-beast pair into the battlefield, but could not keep up with their speed (I think only Neya could pull that off). Thankfully, the cleric does not need to do so. From a few dozen feet away, Utar summons his Spiritual Weapon already into a swinging motion. The strike lands just as Utar's follow-up spell descends on the same target. (Cult Knight#2 {P-24} takes 23 force and radiant damage.)
The Cult knights are now ready to join the fight, having their annoyance quickly changed into rage. The one who is now already bleeding profusely whips out a greatsword and attacks furiously (Action Surge), swiping twice at each of Doozey and Biscuit. The second Cult knight lands a hand, attacking the halfling twice. The third Cult knight instead moves to intercept Utar's approach {V-23}, launching two javelins at the orc.
-> Each of the attacks above has a chance of dealing extra damage. Here are the separate extra damage rolls in case they are triggered: 10, 2, 9, 7, 4, 8, 6, 5.
Doozey fails to see the first swipe at him, which is strategically aimed at his legs. The werebadger recovers defensively right afterwards, but is still nicked a second time. Biscuit is also hit once in the flurry of swipes. (Biscuit takes 10 slashing damage; Doozey takes 9 slashing damage, already halved by Resilient Hide.)
Utar slaps away the first javelin with his shield, but leaves the inside of his shield arm open to the second projectile. (Utar takes 7 piercing damage.)
Just a few steps behind her companions, Neyadashes forward to meet the advancing Cult knight even before he reaches Utar. She superman-punches upon arrival, dazing her opponent right away. Her follow-up strike takes advantage of his condition, ensuring another hit. (Cult Knight#3 {V-23} takes 26 bludgeoning damage.)
The two turncoats in the area turn to see a fight breaking out behind them. Since the other fight seems to have moved away from them, they turn to join this one. They are both equipped with crossbows, and raise these weapons after moving to positions near the central tree, {S-15} and {W-13}. One of them is limping and moves with difficulty.
The limp must be affecting the Tear of Virulence member's aiming as well, as this attacker misses his two shots against Neya. His bad aim is apparently contagious, as his companion also misses Utar's frame.
Raist moves closer to Utar and joins Neya's fight. The advanced Cult knight winces as a piece of his mind is severed. (Cult Knight#3 {V-23} takes 9 psychic damage.)
Villonah is the last to move forward, although she does not move very far {AB-23}. As she slows down, she brings up her crossbow and aims her attack at the knight Doozey and Biscuit are focused on. She announces: "Focus-fire coming in!"
Villonah's bolt flies in between Raist and Utar, and under Biscuit, to hit the knight on the shin. (Cult Knight#2 {P-24} takes 9 piercing damage.)
At this point, the leaves on the central tree rustle for a moment. A dirty human girl of ten or eleven years sitting in the branches of the tree in the courtyard leaps down from her perch. She draws a dagger from her rope belt as she falls, her arms stained with blood up to her elbows. A severed black goat's head with milky white eyes dangles from the rope around her waist. She crashes into the nearest Tear of Virulence turncoat with a macabre smile on her face. Her dagger sinks deep into his neck, spurting blood everywhere. As the ex-Black Fist falls to the ground lifelessly, she turns to the other green-splashed traitor and puts a finger to her lips with a wink and a shushing noise.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
As Biscuit is the first to notice, his delighted sounding "Boofs" and jumping around throws threatened to throw Boozey off so much that the halfling chose to roll off instead. "What in the ninez got in to y-... El!? It-..."But he can get no further than that without being menaced by the warriors nearby, forcing the therianthrope to focus his bladework on bringing at least one down or close to the point, before barking some sharp command in Sylvan to the cheerful mastiff.
The words barely finish leaving Boozey's mouth before Biscuit takes off, taking advantage of transformed halfling's attacks to slip away and engage the last tears of Virulence in melee. Biscuit's stance being that of a protective hound as he growled and maneuvered as best he could to keep between Elisande and the turncoat knight.
Movement(Boozey): Dismount at R-22.
Action(Boozey): Storm of Stinging on Blue-Scaled Warrior(P-24). (Melee, Lethal, Vex)Apostle of the Wild - Attack #1: 22 Damage: 11 of piercing plus 1 lightning.
