Berlyn is not surprised at all about the amount of items lighting up around the room. Knowing her time is limited, she focuses on the bookcase, thinking she will have other opportunities to examine the Professor's person.
The bookcase has several books that seem to have enchantments of various types, but something that sticks out to Berlyn is the rug the bookcase is situated on. The whole thing radiates magic, but she isn't sure of the school.

Lily smiles and shakes the man's hand. "I knew you were an intelligent man who knows a good deal when he sees one." With that, Lily saddles up next to Eman, pressing her hip against his with a carnal, half-smirk upon her lips. She winks at him.
Emanuel winks back and stands up. "So, that means this expedition has officially begun." He smiles widely; hitching his pack up on his shoulder. "So..." He turns towards the professor, looking down towards the old man. "...where do we gather the supplies?"
(Does Berlyn know enough about enchanted carpets to make a guess?)
"Also, you seem to have many wondrous things on your shelves, Professor. Would any of those items, or anything else you have, assist us on this quest?" Berlyn asks.
Emanuel turns towards Berlyn, eyebrows raised in surprise at the ballsiness of her request. He steps aside; allowing the professor a clear view of her.

Even J'Sahriel raises an eyebrow at Berlyn's request, although as she thinks about it, if the professor DOES have some sort magical items that might prove particularly useful to the expedition, it WOULD make sense for him to make them available at least for a little while.
"Hmm? Oh yes, I do have some wonderous books and such,"Professor Daela scratches his chin in thought, "I wish I could lend them out, but none of them would be helpful, I don't think. So many books that mostly just help me in my research, you see."
(Berlyn, you can guess it is an enchanted rug, but you aren't really sure what it does. Berlyn is welcome to make guesses, but won't receive confirmation unless she sits there and tries to identify haha.)
"As for the requisitions office, Trigger can kindly show you the way. He has gone on a number of these expeditions, you see, so he is most familiar with where to get appropriate items... Oh, of course, let me hand you this,"Daela digs into his pockets for a moment before he produces a bronze-colored ticket and hands it toward Trigger. "I believe they will be able to outfit you with all that you may need. In any case, are there any more questions for me, my dear adventurers?"
Trigger-Only Spoiler:
This bronze-colored ticket informs you that 3 items will be able to be 'checked out' from the requisitions office. These are items you will have to give back to the university. The items available for selection will depend on the expedition information that the requisitions office will already have on file. You aren't quite sure what to expect other than some low-level stuff.
(Once you are done with questions, I will transition us to the halls at large for some roleplaying or directly to the requisitions office. This depends on your preference, just let me know in Discord!)

"I have no further questions. If the rest of you do. I shall be waiting just outside the door."
The big Warforged then quietly turns and exits the office.

Berlyn reaches out to shake the professors hand, "Great, great! Thank you very much, Professor! I am sure we will not disappoint. Did we get the map?" she asks the room. "I think we are ready to get started." She goes over to Mr. Kant to shake his hand as well. "Thank you, sir! We shall return." She waits for the others before departing the room.
"Trigger, wait up." Emanuel calls out, as he follows the warforged out the door. When he catches up, he takes stride next to him. "I was wondering; how did you end up doing expeditions to begin with? Would you suggest it as a career choice?" He inquires.
There is no need to either catch up or match stride, as Eman finds Trigger standing just outside the professor's office. The juggernaut looks at Eman while speaking
"I was custom built by House Cannith 15 years ago for the express purpose of muscle and protection for Morgrave Expeditions. This is the only 'career' I have ever known, so I doubt I could give you a fair assessment of its merits as such compared to others."

"Oh, OH!" Emanuel responds, honestly surprised that Trigger was made for just this function. "Um...have, have you considered construction? Its a field you'd likely do well in." He smiles, though a bit awkwardly, as he tries to suddenly change topics.
Trigger pauses a few seconds as though considering Eman's words. It's impossible tell from the look on his face.
"I have not really considered anything beyond expeditions. I enjoy what I do, and I'm quite good at it. Should I be looking for something more than that?"

"Um... I guess not. Not unless you start desiring other things more." Emanuel replies. "I love construction, I just need to go beyond this city sometime. It's... to cluttered." He adds.
"If that's the case, expeditions might be just the thing for you. A few take place in the lower levels of the city, but the vast majority have taken me far beyond it. I've explored ruins in Q'barra, Darguun, Droaam, The Mror Holds, and even far off Xen'drik. And I suspect a background in construction could prove quite beneficial in maintaining a safe environment within crumbling structures and caves."

Seeing that the meeting is wrapping up, J'Sahriel stands to her feet and approaches the front of Professor Daela's desk.
"Thank you for your time, and for your direction, professor," she says somewhat timidly with a bit of a curtsy and nod. "We'll do our best not to let you down."
She then turns to Mr. Kant and repeats the maneuver, though a bit more stiffly.
"And thank you for your time as well, Mr. Kant, and your investment. Can we expect to receive the additional payment after the job is complete?"
"Why of course, my dear,"Haras Kant nods at J'Sahriel. "I expect good things from you..."
You all make your way to requisitions with Trigger as your leader. Though the students know their way around the classrooms, Trigger knows his way around campus at large. He leads you through the quad and for a moment those of you who do not enjoy a regular view of the sky take it in as overhead you see blue boxed in by the towers of the Morgrave University.
Unlike much of Sharn, the quad has grass and a few trees. You walk along a narrow pathway opposite of the corner Professor Daela's office was located at. This center area has students moving between spaces as it seems that classes are in the middle of being changed. You spy several students rushing along your path carrying notebooks and loose parchment paper which couldn't be stuffed into their overflowing school bags.
Before long, Trigger leads you into the library, but ducks quickly to the northern wall and into a stairwell, then upward. On this new floor, everything feels different. This is the second floor of the library, but everything is much quieter somehow despite having heard a few noisy students working together on a project just a moment ago. Those of you who visit the library on a regular basis know there are some spells in place to dampen the noise of regular conversation up here.
Without walking you through all the various areas you need to get through, Trigger zips you along places that are filled with important people that seem to be doing important things. They pay you absolutely no mind, though there are several guards that do. They aren't dressed like the Watch, no, they seem to be private guards in the employment of MU specifically. They wear red and yellow armbands with dark red leather armor and hoods.
Finally, you arrive at requisitions. When you walk inside, you are again in a different world. The inside is narrow and rectangular. There are small sofas and a few chairs for seating, but otherwise, there is a small window in the wall before you and a metal door off to the side. Behind the glass window is an older human woman who notices you as the door chimes open. Her gray-streaked blond hair is pulled into a tight bun and wrinkles line her face. She seems imposing and intimidating, particularly the way she lets her cigarette loosely dangle from her lips as her eyes narrow at the OBVIOUS MU students, but when she locks eyes with Trigger, she smiles. Suddenly, her whole face seems to brighten up and drops about 30 years off her age.
"Well ain't you a sight for eyes, Trig, what can I do for you?" The woman smirks at Trigger, "seems they got you babysitting, big guy."
