(It’s part my fault too. I should have asked and set the situation. Either way, I think this is kinds of fun/funny. You guys can get out of it if you have to. But, yeah. It’s harder when you’re not at the table and you can’t ask the players how they’re trying to play it. Case in point:)

Lazarus:

To get to the garden and your companions, you have to get out of the manor itself. Currently, you’re near the rear garden door. Two guards stand inside the door in the manor with you. They don’t see you, but you’d have to go through them to get out into the garden. Are you walking up to them?

can i see any windows in this hallway that i could climb out of?

Lazarus:

Yes. There are two windows into the garden you can see. Neither is open, but neither is locked. We’re still riding your stealth roll. So, that’s what you choose, you’ll be able to make it out of the window unseen.

lazarus will climb out of the nearest window, and then try to slowly, carefully, and stealthy walk over to his friends and allies.

Lazarus, you slip out the window into the garden. The guards don’t notice. You’re able to make your way to through the garden to the trees behind. From here, you can see the backs of the rest of the party as they deal with the four guards with them.

The rest of you by the guards, you don’t see Lazarus as he moves through the garden. The guards out here with you don’t notice him either. They do all seem to relax a little. The lead lowers his sword.

“Look,” he says. “I don’t know what you’re all trying to pull. Every single one of you has lied to us. If you all didn’t seem like such idiots, I’d gut you right here myself. But, I don’t feel like dealing with the lot of you half-wits. So, I’ll give you to the count of ten to get off the property. One...”

Lazarus: (to the party [in draconic]) "I escaped guys, just leave, we'll meet back up at the hideout."

"Thank you Sirr... we will be off yourr sight" says the Tabaxi as he almost push the others outside the compound. 

Tristan

Tristan smiles dumbly and turns to leave.

Neona's fist unclenches and she swings herself up onto Luna's back riding after her companions.

You all somehow make it back. Seva almost falls when she comes bounding down the stairs into the storehouse after you.

“You did it!” she says. “I didn’t think you were going to get out of there without a fight for a minute there. Lazarus, you’re okay! She gives you a big hug.”

Lazarus: (to everyone) "Yes, i am alright. Its the strangest thing though. The witch is the one who set me free. She gave me this scroll. It needs a bit of deciphering, so if we have time we could see what it says. I believe it is magical in nature."

Lazarus says as he hands the scroll to seva.

Khinsrra taps Lazarus on the shoulder happy to have him back. 

He keeps himself away from the scroll. 

“Bewarre, it could be a trrap to localize all of us in the same place. Afterr all the scorrpion used his sting with the frrog... “ 

Lazarus: (to everyone) "Oh! i didn't even think of that, we probably should be careful with it. to put everyone's mind at ease i didn't tell her anything, and none of blackwood's men cared to question me. I was very careful with escaping so they probably are only realizing now that i'm no longer there."

"You have done well. Excuse me I do not doubt you orr yourr honesty, but I really doubt herrs... " explains the cat-man to his friend.

“Well,” says Seva. “You’re back. That’s what matters. So, what now? We really haven’t done much to stop Blackwood. And now they know most of your faces. I mean, they were just guards, but still...”

Lazarus: (to everyone) "If we can do it safely, we should try to decipher the scroll and see what clues it might have."

"I agrree... Trrap orr no trrap is betterr to know what do we have herre..." 

"A scroll? Maybe I could help?" Elery enters the conversation with that face of curiosity. "I'm no wise wizard, but I kinda had to learn things about magic to understand my powers... Even though... I still don't understand my powers."

To decipher the scroll, roll arcana (int), DC 20…
