Shifting your vison from yourself to your companion, Zephyr takes off into the sky. Circling the widest area they can without breaking the connection, the owl scans the grounds. However with how crowded the streets are with banners, bright colors, people and other things; the city is simply too busy to spot anything of note. There doesn't seem to be anything or anyone on the rooftops.
Jinn:
Right now you are in an open field with sparse trees, it going to take you a couple of hours to get to the woods.
Tangle watches Perry closely as he does his bird thing, then as he walks away. Jinn says her piece and walks away. Tangle shrugs at Marr’veil and says, “And they say the ways of the Fey are difficult to fathom. We will see what we can do about your wagon.” Then she goes in to the tent and sits on Barbara’s lap without so much as a by-your-leave, pulling her legs up and settling in to watch the reading.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Perry is still looking for anything suspicious. With pyrotechnic materials missing and an apparently thriving black market of magical items, he fears something bad is about to happen. Perry checks the ground and buildings for signs of where the black market items might be stored or sold. with Zephyr, Perry checks places he normally wouldn't be able to see, rooftops, under bridges, even in a few houses if there is a ready perch near a window.
"I'ma smuggler. How'd I let 'em know I'm sellin' if I don' wanna be caught by the guards or common folk that'll turn me in?" Perry thinks out loud to himself. "Maybe I'd let a few slimey people know but then threaten ta blow 'em up with my stolen 'splosives. Course they'd let it slip to others, but only other rogues that'll buy my stuff. Nah... tha's dumb. Forget the goods. What ta blow up? The river's dam when the fireworks are going off and people are letting their lanterns go? There's no dam is there?... Stupid. Stipid. Stupid.... maybe I'd blow that up. No. Who'd wanna blow up a tree?... maybe that's the 'splosives!.... Nah, just a rubbage heap." Perry continues this way all through town. He talks to himself or is he talking to Zephyr? The point is, he's not being loud, but he's not being quiet either. He ignores any strange looks and keeps searching.
Your owl friend doesn't see anything different from earlier.
There are a many stalls set up that block off a lot of the streets. Items, boxes, and barrels are scattered all round, but nothing that looks illegal or explosive.
In scanning around you do see a figure in a old cloak duck around the corner and into a nearby alley way.
Barbara is a bit surprised by the elf suddenly taking a seat in her lap. Most of what she learned of elves had been from folklore. Her limited encounters have taught her that elves are even more incomprehensible than the legends describe them. Not wanting to make a fuss as the gnome begins his reading, Barbara shrugs it off with a smile. "Name's Barbara, should have at least let me buy you a drink first!"
Tangle looks up at Barbara. "You may call me Tangle. I was warned that your people would find me... unexpected? Is that the word? But I have decided that I have no concerns about that." She turns back to the fortune telling. "You are tall and strong and I imagine if you have issue with me, you will tell or show me so."

The loud clanking as Perry rounds the corner where he saw the small figure disappear, where he see that there is not one but two figures. The two stop their quiet discussion and upon seeing Perry, let out curses in an unknown language. One reaches into their robe, pulls out a round object and tosses toward Perry. It lands a few feet in front of him and begins rolling toward him.
[How far are they from Perry and can I get a better description of the round object? How big? Did it make a sound when it hit the floor? Does it look heavy? Etc.]

Fenchurch looked at the young, somewhat wild-looking woman, and chuckled a bit.
"Well my friend, the fireworks start at proper nightfall. That way it's as pretty as possible."
Then he turned to the half orc with the serious eyes. Fenchurch swallowed silently. He would have to be careful with this fortune. Very careful indeed. He stared intentionally at his crystal, and cast minor illusion, hoping that speaking fast and low hid his spellcasting, to make the crystal appear to glow with eerie colors as he spoke with his most powerful voice.
"I have seen beyond the veil, and the souls of the departed look upon your hunt with kind eyes. Your cause is just, your path true. You will find the quarry you seek, but only when you are ready to find it, body, mind and soul."

In the tent...
Tangle looks around for who might go next. Then she hops up and sits down in front of Fen. “I’ve no gold for you, but I wonder if you might find the missing cart for your employer, for no fee.”

The two cloaked figures are about 12 feet down the alleyway, they are in the process of turning around to flee. The object is about the size of a orange, gray in color and it made a quiet thump as it hit the ground about 3 feet from you and is now rolling toward you. As it comes closer you pick up the scent of rotten eggs.
Tangle: Wolfy, Barbara, and Fenchurch are in the tent with you. Bug has stayed outside to eat the stew.
"Sometimes..."Barb looks playfully around "Things are meant to go missing. Like that cart you speak of. Whether they are to remain lost or to be later found, that is the question. If you go looking for something that must be lost or abandon search for that which needs to be found..." She looks away solemnly, and continues in a softer tone, "That's when the trouble begins. Often great trouble. So tell us seer, is this object meant to be lost? Or must it be found regardless of your employer?" She attempts to wink at the elf but kind of just blinks.

OOC: Make another perception check. What is Perry looking for?
Current locations:
Perry is heading back toward the city, Jinn is headed for the forest, and the rest are waiting for Fenchurch to read them their fortunes.
Perry heads back through the gate and passes the two men standing guard by the entrance and is back in the crowded city.

Perry you have to point out the figure to the owl and with your guidance she circles the alleyway. You close in, are you attempting to be stealthy?

Zephyr glides noiselessly overhead.
