Tangle glances over at the retreating form of Dr. Jinn. "She has her own demons she is confronting. We should follow Perrance, for he is single-minded and true. He will not be finding smugglers among your tents, as they have plagued this town longer than you have been here. To the town, then," she finishes with a little bit of excitement in her voice.
She marches back to the gate where she and Bug Crunch originally talked to the two guards.

You all are able to pass through the gate easily with the help of the token Olivia gave Barbara. Coming into the city, you have no idea where Perry went. How are you going to try and locate him?
Perry:
"Well, right now the only person here I see causing a disturbance is you. We have witnesses that say you assaulted several civilians with an illegal use of magic and then ran from the scene. You're coming with us. Cuff him." The guard gestures to the others and two come forward and slap a pair of iron manacles on Perry's wrists.
"If you insist your innocent then you won't have any problem staying with us until it can be proven. Come on, men." He points another guard.
"Keep an eye on him, if he starts making weird sounds or chanting incantations then gag him. We don't need any problems on the way to the Boardhouse." The two guards then grab Perry by the shoulders and begin pushing him forward, while the rest form a semi-circle around him.
(OOC: Is owl friend Zephyr doing anything while Perry is being arrested?)
Perry thinks hard as they approach. He knows imprisonment is worse than death. He also knows that he did nothing wrong. He was actually trying to help do the guards' job for them. If they don't believe him, he will fight his way out later, or die in the attempt. For now, he offers no resistance.
Zephyr stands guard by the trap door, watching and waiting. [Can Perry learn what she saw later with their bond? She is a magical creation after all and not a regular owl]

OOC: Yes, Zephyr can recount the events to you once you two reconnect. You just simply lose your telepathic bond once you leave the 100ft area around her. Right now she is guarding the lid.
Fenchurch is going to try to follow the man with the bird's movements through the city, taking advantage of the contacts he has made telling fortunes and supporting the local merchants. As he figures that the man would be...less than subtle, he will essentially be going through town asking the following.
"Hey friend, you wouldn't have happened to see a cart with my employer's mark on it, or failing that a man talking to a bird? If you could point us in their direction, there will be great thanks from my friends here, and a free fortune for you."
(To be clear: It would be about 10 minutes to get to town.)
Perry:
The guards push you through the town. You pass by a few location that catch your attention, one being the familiar purple shop that bears the name 'The Magic Conch', the general store, and a large building that looks like a mix between a temple and a library. Eventually, you are brought to a small stone jailhouse and taken to a cell on the lower level. The guards leave your hands cuffed together. Your weapons and several other items are taken from you(including what you use as a spell casting focus). The cell isn't great, but its not terrible. There's a cot, a bucket in the corner, and a window near the ceiling. The rest of the guards leave, except for one you sits in a chair near the doorway. Before they leave, the leader says to Perry.
"You are to remain here until the investigation is over. If we find proof of your words, you will be taken to the mayor for judgment. If not you will remain in your cell until tomorrow, when the Lawmaster Elmira returns, she'll decide how to move forward from here."
The Gang:
fenchurch, it takes you about eight minutes of asking around to find some information. You don't hear anything about a cart coming into town, but you do eventually to find some people talking about a man who stirred up some trouble a while ago. You learn that it was about 18 minutes ago that the guards took him away.
Tangle, after a few moments of looking you see some people with dirty or ruined clothing walking around, a few are trying to fix windswept hair. There are people carrying damaged lamps and banners. It looks like these people have walked through a small windstorm. You make the connection that most of the people are coming from the northern part of town.
"This way," Tangle says, all business once again, and she stalks off northward, peering about for Perry or some sign of him. She will ask some of the windswept people, "Did you see a strange looking grey man?" and "Have you seen my... small pet? It was scared by the wind," and "Where might I find some vanilla?" If (when?) Fenchurch catches up with her to tell her he knows where Perry is, she will shush him and continue her search.
She's trying to piece together what happened by talking to people, looking for clues, and retracing Perry's steps.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Wolf Pup will continue to follow and look around the city for Perrance. He does not talk to many people, but he’ll see if he can follow the “trail of chaos” so to speak. Perception: 10, or 18 if you need investigation.
"I'm not so sure I care to search for this man, nor the missing cart. I SHOULD go see Olivia and I WANT to watch the fireworks. Then I NEED to leave this place. I'm afraid this man or cart don't meet the should/want/need criteria. I'm off to Merm's to see Liv. There's a lager for anyone that comes, should this payment be true."
Looking about, watching the gnome , orc, and elf interrogate people, Barbara gestures towards the Mermaid's Tear, "Speak now or forever hold your peace..."
Wolf Pup will tap Barbara on the shoulder, “I know that you do not care for the man. However, will you guide me in the city for a time? The elf and gnome move very fast, and the city is new and strange to me. It is nothing like home... If you require payment, I have gold to pay.”

She strikes a match on a small stone she keeps in her pocket to light a cigarette. The smoke smells of fallen foliage and grass clippings. She weakly blows the smoke toward the elf.
Perry silently paces his cell. Back and forth, back and forth, over and over. He uses his now ungloved hands to poke at whatever part of the cuffs he can reach. He's not trying to escape, just fiddling.
