"Not... 'topside'" Tangle tries the weird word out. "These tunnels travel far out of the city, underground. That is where I first found these goblins. I would take us there, through the tunnels, to foil what deviltry they are doing."
“Yes. Perrance and I saw these figures stalking us as well. Do you believe these may lead us to the nest?”

Tangle nods, “I tracked them there, then had more set upon me from behind. I do think it was a place where they were gathering. A nest, perhaps, but one where they are hatching a plot...” She seems pleased with her wordplay.
”We should go,” she taps her foot impatiently in Perry’s direction.

ey/em/eirs, or they/them works, too (just not he). Role-playing since that keep on those borderlands. I love it so.
Barbara: As the blade sinks into the eye beneath the cloth, you feel it shudder and give way. What looks smoke leaks out from the edges of the cloth, quickly dissipating in the damp sewer air.
Perry: The blackened veins look to be definitively supernatural in nature, but looking at the evidence of the torn flesh on the face, you can confidently say that those wounds were self inflicted.
If you are keeping an eye out I need more perception rolls from you all. If you want to be stealthy I need stealth checks too.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Tangle is definitely trying to be stealthy (she moved away from the bodies before talking in low tones) and is also keeping an eye and ear out for more goblins (or whatever else):
Stealth: 17
Perception: 16

"Wha' would make 'em do this to 'emselves? An' tha'..." He pokes at a blackened vein with the tip of his knife, "definitely ain't some natural disease." Perry checks the rest of goblins body for similar signs of self harm.
When he is done with his examination, he takes his knife, places the blade behind an ear, and yanks. "Ta bring to the priestess an' the guards." He says to the others. He then proceeds to remove an ear from each of the goblins. He wraps the bloody things in some cloth he takes from one of the dead goblins and ties the bloody package to his back pack. "Arrest me for doin' their job for 'em." He mutters To himself as he goes about his gruesome work.
"You okay, Barbara?" He asks, looking at her wounds.
As you walk through the twisting corridors you stick to the shadows and do not see anything for the first few minutes of your walk. As you round a corner a loud clatter catches the groups attention and you can see in the distance a group of about 4 goblins scrambling around, they do not see you and are paying very little attention as they busy themselves.
What would you like to do? (If you all decide to attack you will get a surprise round. They are about 30 feet from you.)
"It might be worthwhile to try to take one of them alive. I can make myself look like them and try to bring one over. However, I can't exactly...um, well I don't speak goblin, so it might be a bit of an issue. Is it worth it, or do you want to go smashy-smashy?"
"Aye, I was trying to grab that last one so we could get it to talk but it got away from me, luckily Tangle finished him before it could alert more of them. Not that I want to throw myself back into the briers but we could set up an ambush..." Barbara's eyes go wild and she is obviously excited, "Fenny could draw them in and we make our attack. Absolutely no one getting, away. We get the jump on them and either Pup of I tackle one of 'em. I'm already mucked so i don't mind going for the tackle...Or we just jump them now..."
Barb checks her wounds one more time, flashing a not so convincing smile.
“I am more concerned for what it is they busy themselves with,” Tangle says quietly, fitting an arrow to her shortbow. “I think we can catch them should they flee.” She Readies a shot should the goblins notice them (she doesn’t want to give up some element of advantage should we dither too long and they notice us).

"Smashy... smashy," Tangle whispers as she draws a bead on the biggest goblin, and lets loose.
Shortbow: 21 to hit, for 7 piercing damage.
(Not sure if she has advantage, she's not exactly Hidden, exactly, but if she does she'd add 6 piercing damage from her Sneak Attack feature (not to mention the additional Advantage-related attack roll: 15)

Barbara is too busy trying to light her dampened torch to be perceptive or stealthy.
Looking toward Perry, "I've seen deeper wounds from the briers around The Ancient One. Once saw a troll impaled on one, I'll be fine."
(Maybe a stealth roll with disadvantage since it is clearly not on her mind, especially after just throwing down with the gang? Stealth: 10)
