Everyone: Each of you hears a faint "clank" from somewhere behind the door that leads to the kitchen. Was it the sound of metal on metal? Or metal hitting the floor? Or something else? You're not certain.
The ranger quickly and quietly adorns himself with all his equipment, finger to his lips he makes a muffled "shh" to his companions and points towards the kitchen.
Can't even have an uninterrupted drink in this place, an inn of all places, Vigan thinks as he gets to his feet. Looking around he notes his companions are ready and focused on the door.
"Well whatever's in there knows we are in here, might as well get this over with." He strides towards the door and plants the sole of his boot squarely into it.
I can roll STR if that would be a factor, even if just for narrative purposes.
Vigan's kick causes the kitchen door to swing inwardly violently. The door rotates open a full 180 degrees before it smacks the kitchen wall and rapidly reverses direction to swing back to a close. In the brief time the door was open, Vigan, Rixton, and Ladrian could see a portion of the kitchen. A boulder lay in the northwest corner of the room, and a portion of the kitchen wall was destroyed. Pots and pans and various pantry items were strewn on the floor. Peeking over the top of the boulder were two goblin faces, each with a shortbow at the ready. Unprepared for the sudden appearance of the goliath in the doorway, each of the two goblins makes a desperate attempt to fire an arrow.
The first arrow flies through the open doorway but whizzes directly pass Vigan's ear and sticks in the ceiling of the dining area. The second arrow is too late; it sticks into the kitchen door after it has swung closed.
The sound of goblin voices, angered and strained, reaches everyone's ears from the kitchen.
"Goblins I could deal, as such was the assignment. Worgs came next, those beasts have no place in a civilized world. Now we are talking about bloody giants that may have launched 90 kg projectiles over 300 meters like catapults the ultimate siege engine that are trebuchets. And finally it seems we have visits. This place has no refinement whatsoever." Ladrian calmly says while going C5, aiming the recovered x-bow from the dead monk at the kitchen door. "Vigan, if the noise is a false alarm, will you kindly get me a drink?", Ladrian sks hopefully, looking at Vigan. “I mean, you’re already up, and you’re going to have to come back this direction to reach your seat anyway….”
"No drinks Ladrian, only goblins!", Vigan cries, as he charges into the kitchen towards the new threat, to give them as little time as possible to reload.
He swings his greataxe low at the nearest goblin, aiming to separate its head from its shoulders.
Into the room rushes Vigan; this time the two goblin archers are slightly more prepared, but the goliath once again has the jump on them. A third goblin is standing on the counter just inside the door, and as Vigan runs past, the goblin jumps off the counter top and takes a wild swing at Vigan's backside. (Scimitar attack w/ disadvantage: 15 | If successful, then 7 slashing damage)
Vigan swings at the nearest goblin, who scampers out of the way of the massive axe blade. Lacking the time to drop his bow and draw his blade, the goblin fires a close-range shot at Vigan. (Shortbow attack w/ disadvantage: 9 | If successful, then 8 piercing damage)
The second goblin archer also looses an arrow, hoping to slow Vigan's assault. (Shortbow attack: 8 | If successful, then 3 piercing damage)
An updated map, with the kitchen area, is below. Grid coordinates for the dining area have, therefore, been changed. One square = 5 feet. As we advance the action, turn order will be as follows:
Seeing the Goliath charge through the door Carro decides, although more than capable, he cant go in alone. With no clear line of sight he draws both short swords and head through the door (5D) and slashes wildly at the goblin (3).
Attack: 22 Damage: 6
Off hand attack:Attack: 6 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll.
My heart is pounding in my ears. I've only just been given my life back and I must risk it again. As Carrow darts through the door, I catch sight of Vigan and the goblins fighting through the smashed walls in the corner of the kitchen. It is already crowded in there. Without my rapier, I will just be stabbing goblins with arrows. Inspired, I say to the snake coiled around my arm, "Hold on, little friend. We might get a little wet." I dart out the front door and dash through the rain around the side of the building.
(I attempt to run+dash to -A5, right outside the kitchen window at A5.)
"That Rixton chap is going to get himself killed again isn't he? I was just about to have my x-bow ready! "Ladrian sighs while he switches to the rapier and runs to C5. past the devil's doors, and tries to carve a new scar in the gbolin (assuming he didn't died from Carrow's attacks)
Carrow pushes through the swinging door and finds himself face to face with a goblin. Quick and elusive, the goblin evades both of Carrow's sword attacks.
Rixton exits the inn through the front doors and dashes through the rain; he now stands on the western side of the inn (A5). The two goblins hiding behind the boulder are just fifteen to twenty feet away from him, but they are wholly unaware of his presence as they focus on Vigan.
Ladrian swings open the kitchen door and nearly runs into Carrow. With one swift thrust of his rapier, Ladrian runs the goblin through. The creature locks eyes with his foe for a fraction of a second before slumping lifelessly to the floor.
(Andor's turn is next, which will conclude the first round. Vigan will follow, then the goblins).

Andor
Moving forward to the doorway (D6) Andor opens the door and holds it open with his shoulder seeing the two goblins attacking Vigan casts a bolt of Frost at his foe (2).
Casts Frostbite for 6 if Con save DC13 is failed. Next attack has disadvantage if save failed.

Vigan
The arrow fired by the goblin at point-blank range embeds itself into Vigan's thigh. Crying out in pain, he pulls the arrow out, and swings at the goblin a second time.
With a merciless blow, Vigan sends the first goblin flying through the air. After tumbling backward for nearly ten feet, the goblin comes to a stop, its broken body assuming a grotesque pose in a puddle of mud and rainwater. The one remaining goblin, having seen enough, drops his bow and runs eastward with all the speed his legs can muster.
(Round 2 turns are complete for Vigan and the remaining goblin)
Carrow
"Unless they orchestrated this mess, what did the letter say again? The one you found upstairs"
