Umuni pulls another arrow onto her bow, now with a more clear sight of her target, and fires a second time.

[Umuni]
As your arrow flies through the air, you watch as the arrow goes right between the eyes barely scratching the surface of the creature's skin.

[Mattias]
Watching where Umuni's arrow went, you move up closer and lower where you were aiming at. Letting your arrow fly it soars through the air and almost disappears into one of the toad's nostrils. As the arrow strikes, the toad's eyes sink down into its head and it makes a face like it is about to gag. 

[Toad]
The toad is going to set its back legs underneath its body and with a lurch it is going to jump twenty feet forward, landing in front of Mattias. Because Mattias is the one that shot an arrow up its nose, the toad is going to try and bite him. (Attack: 18 Damage: 4 piercing, 2 poison) The toad bites down onto Mattias and as the creature lifts its head back up and everyone sees just the lower half of him sticking out of the toad's mouth. Mattias, the last thing you feel before going unconscious is the toad's tongue pressed against the side of your face and you hear the yells of your companions trying to free you. (Mattias is grappled and restrained by the toad.)

[Tarkin/Umuni]
As you both watch as Mattias gets partially eaten, from out of the corner of your eyes you both catch the sight of about six small, brownish lizard heads poking out over and around the two boulders to your right. They have two small horns, one on each side of their head, that protrude from behind the eyes and go straight up. From the tracks spotted earlier and the physique of the head, you know these creatures to be kobolds.

Nadar, you are up.

 "Don't worry Mattias, this dwarf of yers know bit or two about fixing things and that involves a good ol' bashing."

Thardigord rages at the sight of his swallowed companion and bashes his trusted maul at the fearsome amphibious beast.

Seeing his companion eaten, Nadarr runs over to the side of the toad and stabs it with a quick flourish of his blade.

”Give him back, foul creature! You have no rights to his life!” Mattias feels slightly inspired that the dragonborn and the dwarf are risking their lives to save his (Bardic Inspiration).

(OOC: Thank you for pointing that out, Nadarr, I missed that part in the spell's description. I fixed the post to reflect the information, but the site is wanting to keep that 18 roll though, sorry Mattias. Also, I will let Mattias have the bardic inspiration that can be used on a death save, if need be. As a side note for the future, just make sure you're putting the damage type next to the damage roll; it just makes it easier for me when doing damage math.)

[Nadarr]
The blade just barely manages to slice through the tough skin of the toad, cutting somewhat deep into its flesh. You see the toad wince in pain, but it still holds Mattias tightly in its maw.

[Thardigord]
In your rage, you manage to strike a devastating blow to the toad's side feeling and hearing several of its ribs crack and break under the force of the maul. At this point the toad's mouth slackens a little and Mattias' body slips a little from out of the toad's mouth, but is still held by the toad.

In a bit of desperation from seeing one of her companions swallowed, Umuni rushes in, and plunges her shortsword on the frog's back.

Attack: 6 Damage: 9 Piercing (Using 2d6 as one comes from Sneak Attack, since I have allies within 5 feet of my target)

Tarkin hops off the wagon. He fires the crossbow at the toad

Tarkin will then make his was as close to the toad as possible. He stows his crossbow and pulls out his scimitar.

(OOC: And the Bardic Inspiration saves from crit death fail! Hang in there, buddy, I’m coming.)

So, Tarkin... How do you want to do this?

(OOC: How close can I get to the toad?)

(OOC: I'll say you can get into melee range of the toad.)

While Tarkin is busy thinking how to give the toad a glorious death befitting it, Thardigord saunters to the kobolds hiding behind the rocks.

 [Thardigord]
As you saunter over in the direction of the kobolds, you see them duck behind the rock and after a moment one gets pushed out from behind the rock. The kobold is wearing tattered leathers that cover from its waist to its knees and it has leather string that is wrapped around its wrists and forearms; the kobold is also holding a crudely made bone dagger. The kobold stares up at you, which is a strange feeling for a dwarf to have someone stare up at them, and in broken common says, "Tall ones kill toad. Tall ones eat toad?"

(OOC: I'll say initiative order is done.)

OOC So is Mattias still unconscious and still half in, half out of the dead toad's mouth?

(OOC: Yes to both, no one has stabilized Mattias nor dragged him out of the toad's mouth.)

Nadarr runs up to the toad as Tarkin gives it a bloody death and drags Mattias’s limp body out of it’s mouth. He begins working on stabilizing his friend with relatively inexperienced hands. Although his fumbling movements are far from efffective, anyone who looks closely enough sees Nadarr’s hands glow for a brief second as the vitality returns to Mattias.
