OOC: For the purposes of the combat, I researched attack and damage for crowbar and piton. What I found suggested 1d4+STRMOD for the former and STRMOD, respectively as the dmg rolls. I leave that in your hands if you want to revise it.

Meepo screams a gibberish war cry as he does a flying kick towards Karst's quarry and follows it up with two successive jabs at its groin before running away from their reach as far as possible.
OOC: To confirm the rules, proficiency bonus applies to unarmed strikes if it resembles a weapon you are proficient with, so it applies to all of the attacks so far, and melee attacks with improvised weapons do 1d4+STR.

Murmen lashes out at the overextending orc, bashing its face and leaving it with a bloodied, broken nose. Aradurk steps past his orc's axe, planting his foot behind its leg and clotheslining it with a crowbar. The half-orc falls with him, stabbing into its chest with a piton, then continuing the roll into a standing position while it thrashes in pain. Karst slams his shield home with magical strength, crushing his opponent's face. Its features are barely recognizable as it falls backwards dead. Meepo lunges into a kick, crushing the skull of the orc laying near Aradurk, then turns and snaps a punch into the groin of the orc reeling back from Murmen's strike. After a sickening pop, the orc's eyes roll back and it falls dead.

The first orc cuts his axe horizontally toward Meepo, but his quarry is practically out of sight by the time the slow cut would have reached the kobold. The other orc's axe reaches Karst's arm before he is able to fully draw his shield back, dealing 8 slashing damage. The paladin once again feels the bite of poison being quickly driven away.

If in fact the Orc engaged with Meepo is within melee range of me as well when he made his attack, as a response I use my Sentinel Attack. I drop my crowbar and piton then scoop up of the fallen Orc’s great axes and send it across his head.

Karst's body rapidly adjusts through feeling pain again as another axe cut slides past his shield as he finishes the first orc then a burn of the healing magic sent to him from Murmen steadies him just as he started to feel weak the recovery enabled him to hold his concentration on the spell he had cast, although for a moment it had seemed it was going to slip away. With a roar he charges back into the fray shield raised to finish off the second orc to attack him.

Murmen punches the first orc back with his shield, offering some healing to Karst, who steps in as Murmen steps back and finishes the job by bashing its face in. A crowbar and piton clatter to the ground, replaced in Aradurk's hands by a fallen greataxe. The half-orc plants his feet and swipes horizontally with all his might, beating the last orc's defenses and tearing into its neck. Its head falls to the ground before its body before a stunned crowd.
Juds and Gorcrom stare slack-jawed, but Shang frowns unimpressed. "You have won the duel," she says. "You must be innocent...or very lucky." She thinks for a moment, glances at Gorcrom, then turns back to the victorious party. "I will honor Azetbu's wishes. I will go to meet Trelanna in his place and seal this pact with the terms agreed upon yesterday. However, I will not be escorted by orc slayers, Warblade. Your minions will stay here as collateral for my safe return," she declares.
"Thank you for seeing reason, Shang," Glendale replies, "Fumbles knows the path well. He can escort you."
Shang shakes her head before Glendale has even finished. "I will not travel with a trickster. Your Watchblade is quiet. I will take him with me."
"Very well," comes Glendale's response. "Rowan, the meeting location is outside the town of Winter's Edge. Travel safely, this is nearly at an end."
The orc circle disperses, allowing you time to wind down from the battle. Juds quickly approaches you, speaking with a typical high pitched goblin shrill. "If you ask Juds, it was not possible that you's killed Lord Azetbu, but how well you know your friends that you come with? Lady Shang angry at big barbarian man, want to find reason for killing him, but she come to her senses and ask me to investigate. But Juds good at shaman magics, not good at investigating. If you's agree to helping with investigating, you be allowed free travel through camp until Lady Shang returns. Somebody killed Azetbu, and if you find his killer, sure that Lady Shang will reward you well. But no magics!" he finishes with a point of his finger.
OOC: Each character has received 120 XP for defeating the orc champions.
I pick up my dropped tools and replace them in my pack.
I look over at Juds, "We do want to see justice run its course here. It is our shared interests to solve this expediently. I will look around our campsite so in an effort to eliminate who cannot be guilty. Anyone want to assist me?

"We walked unarmed into the middle of an orc kingdom. I don't think it's my company that's dangerous,"Roccar chuckles, glancing over at Glendale, who is providing direction to Sal while the Shieldsar cleans her armor.
The area surrounding the campsite is a mess of tracks. Multiple tracks lead toward and away from the campsite from the previous and current day but are soon swallowed by the mass of orc tracks that surrounded the site in the morning.

"I trust each of you not to have murdered the orc, please do not doubt me but I would ask did any of you leave our campsite during the night, even if just to relieve yourselves. If they could point to an unexplained absence we would have a harder time convincing them of our innocence but if we knew in advance at least we could prepare for that."
The paladin readies himself for the answers looking for any sign of evasion or deception, especially from Fumbles.

Healing word only takes a verbal component, so it shouldn't be too obvious. I'm guessing it's just some sort of muttered prayer to Moradin.

With Batram's Help, I am investigating the campsite thoroughly for signs of passage to/from the sleeping quarters of each of our party.

"We walked unarmed into the middle of an orc kingdom. I don't think it's my company that's dangerous," Roccar chuckles, glancing over at Glendale, who is providing direction to Sal while the Shieldsar cleans her armor.
The area surrounding the campsite is a mess of tracks. Multiple tracks lead toward and away from the campsite from the previous and current day but are soon swallowed by the mass of orc tracks that surrounded the site in the morning.

"I trust each of you not to have murdered the orc, please do not doubt me but I would ask did any of you leave our campsite during the night, even if just to relieve yourselves. If they could point to an unexplained absence we would have a harder time convincing them of our innocence but if we knew in advance at least we could prepare for that."
The paladin readies himself for the answers looking for any sign of evasion or deception, especially from Fumbles.
