We could have done better. as the group is walking away and no longer near the city watch...I was trying to get some information from the guards. Between us maybe we learned something useful. Renear, does any of this make sense to you? Even if it doesn't I don't mind you staying as long as the others don't object. We should rest for the night and start fresh in the morning.

Karugur Lvl 1 | Half-Orc | Barbarian
After informing everyone of what he overheard, Karugur will respond to Renear's request to stick with them. "I don't mind as long as you can take care of yourself. If something like what happened in there happens again I don't want to have to worry about you cowering in the corner."
Karugur finds it odd that someone who was found cowering under a tarp would want to possibly head into another situation like it. He decides to keep a close eye on him just in case.

“Spirit. In every language in all the Realms, surface and Underdark, in every time and every place, the word has a ring of strength and determination. It is the hero's strength, the mother's resilience and the poor man's armor. It cannot be broken and it cannot be taken away.”
Gendal - You explain the symbol you heard about to Ranear, "That definitely sounds like those Kenku were working for Xanathar. He must be after the Stone of Gallorr as well. The Kenku must have come here looking for me but took Floon instead, poor chap." Gendal, you would know that Xanathar is a Beholder crime lord in Waterdeep.
Karugur - Although he is not a rough and tumble adventurer like yourselves, by the way he carries his blade you can tell he's had at least some training, most likely from his noble background. And he seems genuinely concerened about Floon.
"I have always wondered what It would be like to sink a short sword into the eye of a Beholder... I imagine it would be..... wet..." SP will say outloud to the group.
Tomorrow Renear we need to go see your father. I know there are issues there but I want all the information I can get about this stone before we approach the gang.
Ranaer will nod his head, "I agree that a visit to my father might be worth our time, but Xanathar's Kenku thugs took Floon only a few hours ago, perhaps we could look around a bit, maybe inquire around to see if anyone saw them. If we wait to come back tomorrow, the trail might be cold, as they say"

SP will lower his hood, so that his vision is less obstructed. As his hood comes down his narrow sloping metal head shines in the moonlight. He will then begin walking around and looking for clues as well.
SP, you look up and down the street, and while its late and most of the buildings windows are dark you do see one building, painted completely purple that still has a glow coming from the windows. You can see a small mam silhouetted in one of the windows.
"Hey guys" SP will point toward the building. "I wonder if that guy saw anything" Sp will pull up his hood and start making his way towards the building.
Dihek'nir walks closer to the lit up building and the window.
"Sir? Do you know what time it is? I got beat up real bad at the other end of the street and lost consciousness for a while. Did you happen to notice anything suspicious? I'd love to know how many there were and what they looked like so I can avoid everyone like that."
As you approach the small purple shop you see a sign hanging by the front declaring it to be The Olde Xoblob Shop. You can see the man inside is a Deep Gnome man in plum colored robes, and everything inside seems to be some shade of purple. When Dihek'nir starts talking to him, the man cups his hand to his ear, as if he can't make out what you're saying, and gestures for you all to come in to the shop.
Karugur will enter as well, following behind Gendal.

A cloud of lavender-scented purple smoke trails out of the shop’s door as you enter. Every wall is painted purple, and every dusty knickknack on the shelves is dyed a deep violet. The hairless old gnome sits cross-legged on the counter, his cheeks decorated with nine purple face-painted eyes.
The gnome lowers a pipe and exhales a cloud of lavender smoke before raising a hand. “Hail and well met! Come browse the shelves of the most curious curiosity shop in the world!”

Dihek'nir, still really banged up by the events just sighs, "Would love to have a good nights rest..."
