Sizan just rolls his eyes and mutters, "Slip of the tongue." Ignoring the bolt of flame, he says without taking his eyes off the kenku, "This warehouse is more than likely owned by the Zhentarium. The fact that it is underused from what I saw above made it perfect for at least a temporary hold out. Unfortunately for them, things did not pan out that way... If someone would kindly find that closet." Sizan eyes narrows. "Almost done, my feathered friend. Why were you to take Renaer Neverember? What is it your employer is after? Or better yet, do you know why the Zhents would be interested in this particular nobleman's son?"

The Kenku looks back at Sizan with sheer panic in its eyes and shrieks "Xanathar sends its regards! No time to loot the place. Just get him to the boss! WHERE IS THE BEAUTIFUL RED HAIRED MAN NAMED FLOON?!"
Just as soon as it finishes speaking its piece, Sizan goes to hold his beak shut with a free hand if possible. If not, he just pats the Kenku on the cheek in what was supposed to be a comforting gesture. But as his sword had yet to lower, it could just as well not be in the circumstances. "Calm. Down." He cautions, and only after a moment or two does he let go. Only once the Kenku had at least begun some sign of calming does he interject, "So what you are implying is that this was just a raid then? And having seen presumably the two red haired men, you thought you might take them -- try to, anyways, and see what the Zhents would have them? Correct? Keep in mind that honesty will be rewarded."He says, watching the bird particular closely now.
(Insight Check in the Spoiler, in case it would matter)
The Kenku just keeps repeating the same phrases over and over again - each in a slightly different voice and at varying levels of panic. It wouldn't take much insight to realize at this point that this creature is just a lackey following some instructions given to him by someone far above his pay grade. You also realize that it's form of communicating seems to be limited to pure mimicry, as it eventually starts to repeat some of your own words back to you. You're not sure it is actually understanding what you're asking or what it is telling you in return - it's just regurgitating phrases it's heard recently hoping to eventually say something that will satisfy you.
(OOC - So the Zhents took Floon, then Xanthars gang wanted him too? Are we to assume these Kenku are from the rival gang then and moved Floon already?)
Realising it was just mimicking others should have been obvious, it was a Kenku after all, Gargan scolded himself. As Yazara continued to question the captive Gargan moves further upstairs and looks through the other rooms, looking for anything of note and in particular the back room where there had apparently been a captive tied to a chair.
Gargan: You move upstairs and search the rooms where Sizan emerged from. You find nothing new - the rooms are empty except for dust, rats, and dilapidated furniture. You notice the bells above the doors as well, and the wires that disappear into the wall. As you come back out into the landing you look up and see them where they come through. They travel along the wall to the west just past the stairs, then straight down to the main floor where they disappear back into the wall about 5' from the floor.
Following the wires to the point they disappear Gargan stops and turns to Dori and says “Dori, if you don’t mind might you come with me? These wires may be some sort of alarm or communication system, and that means they must go somewhere. If we cannot follow them all the way perhaps you can make a way?” As he finishes he turns heads outside to try and find the wires emerging on the outside and trace them to their source.
Sizan watched as Gargan went, and meant to offer some warning. But thought flees him hearing his own voice from the Kenku. He stays cool even as most would have become aggravated, or even insulted by the mimcry, perfect though it was. "Enough, dear friend. Enough."He says with a note of exasperation in his tone. "Your candor is appreciated. Unfortunately, this is the part where you are tied up and handed over to the proper authorities. Though if you are a good little jail bird, maybe someone will look out for you." He says, ending on a mystery note. After sheathing his blade and fishing out a length of rope he starts binding the Kenku's hands and feet.
"You got a name, dear friend? From what I hear, your people always go by the most have fascinating names."He says. If Sizan notices Dori come down and appear about ready to smash in a wall, he curtly states, "Delicate touch, my grey friend."

"Ahem... he'll go through the wall." Dori corrects as he drags one of the Zhentarim corpses behind him to where the wires poke through the wall. He wasn't sure what following wires would do, but, he wasn't going to question Gargan. Bending down, the goliath scooped the corpse into his arms, spun about and hurled it at the wall. (This seems wrong somehow)
As Gargan was on his way to the door to try and find the wires emerging on the outside of the door he stops suddenly as he hears Yazara ask Dori to be delicate. He quickly realises what his large friend is doing and turns in time to see Dori begin to hurl one of the Zhentarim corpses at the point in the wall where the wires disappear. As he waits to see the outcome he shrugs to himself, "as long as it reaches the same end" he chuckles to himself.
Upon hearing the commotion of a body being thumped against the wall, the tabaxi turns and looks up at everyone. You see what appear to be black feathers sticking out of his mouth and he appears to be chewing on something. It's probably best you don't think too much about it. He absentmindedly brushes the feathers away and comes to watch Dori smash a body against the wall.
"Um....perhaps we should have secured those wires somehow, that is if they are some type of alarm system?" and he'll hiccup
Dori drags one of the Zhentarim corpses by the foot around the stairs, hefts it over his head and with a loud grunt hurls it at the wall. The body smashes into the wall, crumpling over and as it falls to the ground and rolls one of its arms is now broken a few inches above the elbow with the bone protruding out through his skin and clothing. A new stream of blood seeps out onto the group.
There isn't a lot of damage to the wall. It's cracked in a few places but it appears that of the two objects that collided, the wall was the harder of them and probably did more damage to the corpse than vice-versa. However, you do now see a visible seam in the shape of a door that was not there before. Dori walks over without hesitation, drags the corpse out of the way and pulls open the door.
As the door opens you you hear the bells ringing from upstairs - an alarm system of some kind. The door opens into a small storage room that contains two wooden crates. You drag them out into the open to investigate. The first contains four wood-framed paintings wrapped in leather. The paintings depict the cities of Luskan, Neverwinter, Silverymoon, and Baldur’s Gate. The second crate contains fifteen 10-pound silver trade bars, all black from corrosion but still intact. These things are obviously valuable, and probably stolen. They are also a bit cumbersome so if you're going to take them you'll have to figure that out.
(Best way to find a secret door ever. Just to be clear this is the small room that looks like it's just off the map on the lower floor, west of the stairs.)
The tabaxi pokes his head in the now open doorway sees the loot then licks one of the silver bars.
"Oh this is quite the find.....should we alert the City Watch? or just find a cart and liberate these goods in the name of us!" and he'll start looking around for a way to move the treasure.
Sariel stays towards the entrance. Keeping watch. Always tempted to bring out his viole, he rejects the idea of playing since it might catch someone's attention. Seeing the bodies, gives him an uneasy feeling though. Never thought of it until after the battle. He walks up to where each the bodies lie, he says a little prayer for each as he places his hands over their ears. "Rest, let Milil's song, guide you on your next journey." He will cast Spare the Dying just in case any clings to life. But also, as a sendoff for their souls.

Gargan
As the door is revealed Gargan nods to himself in confirmation of his suspicions moving closer to see what Dori has revealed and patting his friend on the shoulder as he closes in "Very nice friend. I'm sure there is a knock, knock joke in the makings there". He moves over to the crates recovered from the alcove and takes particular interest in the crate of paintings. Kneeling down he begins going over them to see if there is anything notable about these paintings at all and to see if they might be relevant to the missing men. He has noted that there is a painting of Neverwinter, and given that the Lord of Neverwinter's son has been taken he also tries to recall anything he knows about the rulers of the other cities depicted here in case this collection of paintings is more than coincidence.
