When Garth said the word "Scorch," the sword burst into flames, emanating a bright light for 30 feet in every direction, and dim light for 30 feet beyond that. The heat of the fire didn't affect Garth in any way, but the flames were clearly not illusory.
Yes! Burn! Cut! Stab! Burn! Hahaha! Use me! Slay! Kill!
(again, the thoughts can't be heard by anyone)

"Well, I guess as long as the pointy end still works." Garth said, picking his sword back up.
"It seems we have another hole to dig." He said with a solemn tone in his voice. "Rad, can you do your neat trick with the ground, like when we plantedthe saplings? Out of respect for Cor, I'd say we should go deepenough to keep scavengers away from where we put him."
(just going ahead to build momentum back. Tell me what you want of his. Who takes the Decanter, weapons, rations, items, etc.)
The group buries Cor and remarks on how, as they traveled the past two weeks, the half elf told them he had no more living family left. They make it back to Farrin without anymore trouble. They find Prozhar at his new location, the raven being visible during the day was a big hint. He greets them as they come in.
"Oh. You're back soon. And you're back. That's a surprise in and of itself. Seems you're missing the half elf. Interesting. I thought for sure it would be the tall one that died first. Well, let's have it, then. Where's the bark?" Prozhar says, holding out his hand impatiently.
"Excellent." Prozhar says, turning to Twig for the bark. "Eager for another task so soon? Also excellent. Well, let's see..." Prozhar says, his eyes turning up to the ceiling to remember the contents of the book, "Ah. It seems as though I need the jaws of an Umber Hulk. That is actually quite mundane. I imagine the difficulty would be traveling into the Underdark to find one."

Twig hands over the bark, slightly reluctant to give up the treasure that she did not yet understand. “Why does it glow? What does it do? How will you use it?” She asks about the bark.
"It will be incorporated into the cure for the Blight. I actually don't know how it functions or what force powers its glow. I do, however, intend to find out while you venture into the Underdark. I have a feeling it will take you a while. I am getting closer to an alternative to employing your team to retrieve these items, so hopefully I will have something worked out by the time you come back. If you come back." Prozhar replies, turning the bark over in his hands as he inspects it.

"Is there any reason why you think traveling into the Underdarkis hazardous? What have you heard that is so dangerous?" Garth asked, frowning slightly at Prozhar's lack of confidence in their abilities.
Seems that wekeep jumping from one frying pan to another.
(OOC unless there are any objections, I'll take the Decanter)
"Well, that's all I've got for now. If you aren't eaten in the Underdark, I'll be here when you return. Good luck and all that. If you happen to find any spell books or scrolls that deal with animating golems or the like, be sure to bring them back. I am having difficulty creating a replacement for your little group." Prozhar said, turning back to his books.

"I am not familiar with this region. Unless there are any objections, let's head to an inn for the evening and ask around. I'm sure we'll come across some locals who know of some caves."
Either this necromancer is a lot dumber than he looks, or he's trying to get us killed with lack of information.
“Good plan. I will go to the market and collect supplies, then meet you at the inn. 20 days rations for everyone seemed sufficient, so I will procure the same. And some additional bolts and arrows. Anything else?”
(let me know if you need anything or want to come to market and we will just say you said it now, also assuming that we’re staying at the same inn as before)
Twig bought rations (She took the money that Garth was carrying from Arbane and used it to purchase 60 total rations) and asked around about any caves in the area. She was met with mostly shrugs but one vendor said, "The mountains North of Farrin're filled with caves, but no one goes there anymore. Not after Lord Dorsalor scouted the mountain with his magic and found no ore. No boats're goin' up to the North end of the lake, either, but you could make the hike 'round the West side without too much trouble. I reckon it'd take 'bout three days on foot. Not an easy walk, but there's a small town 'bout halfway there called Havehollow where you can 'least sleep in a bed for the night." She then purchased a case of bolts (20) from the vendor and headed off to the inn.

"GAH!" Garth immediately dropped his sword in shocked surprise when it burst into flames.
"What the heck happened to Stabby!" He stared down at his sword as he spoke.
Perception: 11
The sword was on fire, but the flames stopped after about a minute. Nothing else seemed to different about the sword.

Twig raises her eyebrows, momentarily distracted by the flame, “That was interesting. Do it again.” She grins, fascinated by this new wonder.

“I think what he meant was is there anything particular or recent that you’ve heard about the Underdark” Twig interjects, glaring at the sorcerer.
“Anything else we ought to know?” She asks.
I am ready to get moving, whether that be to an inn or onto the road, I don’t care.

Twig looks to her companions “Let’s gather supplies and head out, unless anyone has reason to stay in Farrin for longer...?”
Heading out the door, she pauses and turns back to the wizard “Any recommended paths to the Underdark?”
"Caves? Many tunnels and cave systems lead to the Underdark." Prozhar said lazily, waving his hand.
