(Moving us forward since we've had no other words and I assume you're meeting Rivana in the morning.)
The four of you leave in the morning after meeting up outside the inn. (You can engage in dialogue with Rivana during travel or just assume you chit-chatted about the weather while you walked and skip ahead) After about an hour of traveling North through the plains, you see a picket line of trees. Through the trees, you make out a three-story stone manor house set behind a stone wall about seven feet tall. The building looks as if it has been abandoned for some time. The grounds are overgrown, and a leafy blanket of vines covers much of the stonework. Other than a murder of crows nesting on the roof, you see no signs of life. As you get closer to the manor, you notice an entryway to the grounds. The rusted iron gate stands partially open. Amazingly, the grass and weeds beyond the gate have grown almost to the height of the wall itself, turning the interior courtyard into a labyrinth of vegetation.

Rad enters the gate and takes a look around. "I don't think we'll be fighting much in here. It doesn't look like anything has lived here in years. We should split up to cover more ground and find a way into the manor."
You push your way through the weeds and see, on the South wall, a set of double doors. They’re ornate and free of the vines that cover the rest of the building. There are dozens of runes burned into the wood of the doors.

"Rivana, did you have a plan on how you wanted to get in, maybe from tales you've heard from other travelers?" Garth asked the young woman, turning to look at her.
"Looks like there is still a measure of magic in those runes, judging by the lack of vines on the doors. Can any of you decipher what these runes do? I'm not particularly interested in setting off a magical trap when we try to open these up." He said to his companions, looking back at the door.
Twig eyes Rivana. She doesn’t look dead. Or apparently any different than any other human I’ve seen. Twig casually walks next to Rivana, and sneakily pokes her in the back.
As Twig goes to poke Rivana, the bard catches her and leaps away, spinning to face the Tabaxi and flailing her hands in front of her in chaotic motions vaguely reminiscent of the martial arts a monk might practice. She shouts, "No touchy! I get that you're curious and all, but maybe ask a lady before goin' for the goods, eh?"

Twig grins at the bard. “I’m sorry. I just have reason to think that you are....different. Maybe even passed on. When I spoke to other patrons about your lovely song, they indicated that they had not heard it, not seen you for months. Yet we saw you. Why did you want us, and why did you hide from everyone else?”
"I have no idea what you're talking about. They're probably just mad because I played the song about Astabar. Folks 'round Havehollow don't like to acknowledge a tragic event like that." Raven says, sounding confused.

"I know bards get a sort of reputation, but I'm not a big fan of physical touch. Curses and plagues all start the same way, you know." Rivana says with a slight chuckle and a bit of apprehension.
"You're a strange one, you know that? Are all of your people like this? You're not going to hex me with my hair, are you? How about we just wait until we get to the manor to start collecting valuables..." Rivana replied, starting to sound a bit afraid of Twig.

“I Twig looked at her companions. “Well, I guess it’s onto the manor, then. So much for that question”
Twig watches Rivana carefully, trying to see if she interacts with the physical world any differently than others, but otherwise moves onward to the manor, feeling more cautious than before.

For Garth:
The vines look like they could probably hold your weight.
The runes on the door don't seem to make any sense to you.
You have just begun to examine the symbols when a loud, foreboding snort draws your attention back toward the courtyard entrance. Through the path you made in the tall grass, you see a massive black rhinoceros with glowing purple symbols in its side. The beast paws at the ground with its powerful hoof as it tosses its head from side to side, displaying a lethal three-foot horn.

The Rhino stares at the group and paws at the ground, tossing its head again, but does not charge or attack the group in any way.

Rad approaches the rhino slowly with his arms outstretched in a nonviolent manner. He reaches into his pack and pulls out a dried biscuit from one of his rations and attempts to offer it to the rhino as a sign of non aggression. Animal Handling - 8

Twig grabbed her crsossbow, ready to shoot should the rhino attack, Looking around to see if there was anything that the rhino wanted or was defending, looking to see if there was anything else that stood out.
The rhino lets Rad get within 10 feet of it and does not make any motion to advance or retreat, it just continues to stare at the group.
Twig looks around and is able to see tons of foliage and a small, beaten path that's barely visible that leads to what looks like a side door in the manor about fifty feet away. She can only tell that the Rhino is standing on the path they made through the foliage from the gate to the double doors.
