"Wait hold on. Wasn't this your idea to get this one talking. Now the plan is to kill them? If that's the plan then let's just kill this one now. We just let him take a rest but better now than when he's with the rest of them. I'm sure we can find them if we wanted to. We don't need his help. We know there are others now."
"Processing..." D.O.R.K's flicker between their neutral yellows and combat red for a few moments, before settling back on the dimly neutral tone. "Data corrupted. Logged for expunging at later date." She said in a monotone voice, then shook her head. "Unable to find data corroborate your assertion. But, I will take your word for it. However, following the most recent assessment of the nature of the subject, and calculating probability for a peaceful solution being maintained based on interaction and data delivered in regards to his kin, it has been determined by this operative to be untenable due a number of reasons." She expressed.
"Additionally, it will be significantly more easier to find the rest through this one's aid, as well as catch the others unaware. However, if the immediate termination of this one now has been judged more useful to our cause, I will not offer further resistance. But, we should find and terminate the rest, as the range of their 'hunting grounds' has proven too significant to not warrant the precaution on behalf of the halflings, and by extension the city of Yatar."

"I do not know if the Wicked Sisters will be as dumb as this one, but I agree we need to take them out and subterfuge may be better than a front on assault. I think I'm with D.O.R.K. on this one, but I think we need to be on our guard in case the ruse does not work." says Ebonitus. "So I guess we need to make room on the cart for some carcasses." And so saying, Ebonitus starts to organise the cart and make some room to pile up the bodies.

Lukian begins to speak of a campfire to cook the meat as Hungryfella sits down to begin feasting on the still-warm bugbear carcasses. The elf quickly shuts up and busies himself to avoid watching the carnage. Later, when the others begin debating when to kill the giant, Lukian stands beside him, watching him sleep. He draws his new weapon and extends the glowing blade. "What do you think?" Lukian telepathically asks Dawnbringer. "Does this one look so lost? Is it only meant for darkness and the only answer is to cut it down?"
Does this one look so lost? Is it only meant for darkness and the only answer is to cut it down?"
Lukian hears Dawnbringer's voice in his head "I'm not sure it is intelligent enough to be lost. It certainly seems to be drive more by basic needs than anything else. Whether you can overcome those needs will remain to be seen"
I guess we are waiting for the giant to wake up so he can lead us to the twisted sisters. That's why I was wondering how long of a rest we were having.
(Sorry, mean to post something earlier today, but kidnapped party way into the day.)
(@DDP: Safe to assume Lukian doesn't pass along the Dawnbringer's perspective on the subject of giantcide vs giant conversion? Maybe you can get them to morninglord followers. ~.~)
Seeing the matter at least settled for the evening, D.O.R.K returns to the side of her goblins to finish settling in Mr. G. As soon as that's out of the way, she would try to at least pick their brains on some of the most toxic stuff they've run into over their likely short lives, and if they might think it possible to procure any.
Whether either Beedo or Vark had any ideas there, evening drills and studies are set aside on taking turns with butchering Ogre bodies(or more than likely a body) into more manageable parts to either store in the bag of holding, or with Lukian's guidance, onto the cart; assuming it handle such bodies.

Ebonitus' way of thinking was that we would get everything packed up and then have a sleep overnight, with our usual watches (including keeping a close on the giant), then get an early start in the morning.
(OOC: If Giants sleep for days on end, we might run out of patience, particularly with the stench of rotting bodies)

Ebonitus de Viribus - Level 4 Cleric - The Storm King's Thunder - The Gods Respond.
After a relatively peaceful - well with the exception of Hungryfella's snoring farting and belching, all of which can only be described as legendary - night the party wakes to a cold wet and windy day. Hungryfella wakes up and looks at the heavy rain falling and cold wind blowing and says "Ungryfella need food if he going to walk in this" as he proceeds to demolish another one and half bugbears. He picks up one of the dead ogres and slings it over his shoulder before setting off saying to the party "bring other food and catch-up."
Deeper in the Surbrin Hills - Day 7, First Ten-day, Month of Elint (The Fading Month)
The party manage to load the two remaining Ogre cadavers in the back of the cart although their legs hang out the back. They look at the bit of the remaining Bugbear and decide it is not worth it. They then set off into the rain and howling wind following the giant’s footsteps which even despite the poor visibility are not difficult to follow.
After several hours travel – possibly the worst they have experienced the cart having got bogged several times and Beedo disappearing out of sight into a bog hole before D.O.R.K. managed to pull him back to the surface - they crest a small hill. Hungryfella is standing on top of the hill and points out a crumbling tower about a quarter of a mile ahead that is just visible through the driving rain. “That my ‘ouse. Me go tell sistas and others that you come with more food!” Hungryfella says as he sets off down the hill towards the tower.
As they wait, Lukian asks the group, "What are the chances we can arrange some kind of reciprocal agreement between this clan of giants and the people of Yartar?"
Devin slept poorly, his dreams filled with dancing ogres and rotten bug bears. The following day he was rested enough to continue and felt the guidance of the Lady as he spent his morning in quiet prayer and contemplation.
As they got ready to move on he could not help but ponder the strangeness of his current situation. He traveled a distant land in the company of goblins and giants with a cart of dismembered ogres. Life had taken many twists and turns since the quest was laid upon him those many weeks ago. But he felt the hand of guidance from the Lady on him, he knew they were doing well and as odd as the day was he still felt calm.
As the giant lumbers off towards the tower Devin calls to D.
"Perhaps we follow for a bit but not get to close. I'd rather see them coming than hope for the best and get trapped in the ruined tower. Maybe stop short by a couple hundred feet and see what our welcome is?"

Devin considers for a second. "OK, let's have this one lead us to the others."
((Post 2826 is where Devin got this line of thought))
Grant - did we just long or short rest?

You've not taken any rest as yet but good luck trying to wake Hungryfella anytime soon!

You will have a long rest if you wait for the giant to wake.

Lukian begins calculating how many bodies they can load onto the cart.
((I think a long rest is what we are going for. I'll wait for the others to chime in.))
