As Toruun is setting the charges he tries several times - all unsuccessfully - to get a sufficient light going cursing in dwarvish. Finally he turns to the party and says "there's no way in Gond's name I'll be able to get these lit in this weather and then get away in sufficient time. Has anybody got any ideas?"
Lukian isn't happy with how things are turning out, but not having much (any, really) experience with hill giants, he's not ready to stand against the opinions of the others and risk putting them all in danger.
After Torunn explains his difficulty, the elf responds, "I can perhaps explode them using scorching rays. As long as I am within 120 feet of them all, I can fire at up to four at a time."
(@Grant: Almost missed the map update. Well, the approximation of it. And with that in mind..)
"It would seem then that things are largely settled for the moment." D.O.R.K said, though her gaze lingered a tad longer on Lukian. "Let us get into position. Approximately... 80 to 100ft should do it. And upon the smaller Motte there." She gestures across the way. Unfortunately, they will have the high ground. But, if all goes well, that will not matter... Though, it would have been nice if we had enough engineers, as it would be interesting to see if we could carve a significant enough soil away for this terrible weather to handle the rest."
D.O.R.K pantomimes sighing as Vark looks to Torunn for answers. "No matter. May the Mother approve of this strategy, and bless us with victory upon this day." D.O.R.K quickly traces the symbol upon her forehead, and then bow her head slightly with a fist held over her chest. "As soon as the rituals are complete, you may fire when ready Lukian." She said, before then looking to the others. "During the interim, the rest of you are to gather what rotted remains of the settlement are around, and construct some cover. It does not need to be effective beyond obscuring our position further from those above... Or alternatively, if you can can construct minor obstacles for our reticent hosts in the time allotted, by all means do so."
With that said, she looked to Ebonitus and presented the ring once more for hisenchantment, then knelt upon sodden earth to begin reciting the many exploits of her predecessors who erred on the side of caution over foolish bravery in executing a number of raids, back door attacks, and more to secure victory in past events. Vark looked about ready to awkwardly join her at first, but thinks better of it, and would go around scavanging whatever near rotted away boards, stones, and whatever else he could muster along with everyone else to construct the half-assed blinds.
Beedo, ever the practical, worked on coaxing Mr. G tohelp in the endeavor, if albeit to likely little avail.
After Toruun sets the charges the party makes their way down off the motte to a distance of about 100 feet from the old tower. Once they have built a simple barricade to hide behind Torunn says to Lukian "light her up". Lukian casts Scorching Ray trying to target the charges AC10 (Attack: 2 Damage: 0). Fortunately nobody speaks Elvish because the swear words that come out of Lukian's mouth as the first scorching ray slam into the earth well short of the tower would have blistered your ears. Lukian once again draws on his inner strength and lets fly with a second scorching ray (AC10 - 3 rolled) and a third scorching ray (AC10 - 2 rolled). Once again blistering words in elvish ring out and the rage and frustration on Lukian's often calm face is clear to all who can see.
Ebonitus obligingly casts warding bond on D.o.R.K. and positions himself in the centre of the party and once the scorching rays (or equivalent spells) have lit the charges, will cast pass without trace to give every creature within 30 feet +10 on stealth checks.
Both goblins and construct slowly turn to Lukian with the most flabbergasted look upon them. Then, without looking away from the elf, D.O.R.K says, "Devin... you have the shot, do you not?"
(In hindsight, should've relied on Firebolt from Devin over wasting a spellslot. But ah well!)

Devin grins "Sorry wasn't paying attention there. Too busy hauling stuff around to create an obstacle course for incoming giants. Anyways, lets see if some blue flame can light this puppy up!"
OOC: That's one. Aren't there three charges? Keep it up!
Lukian doesn't say anything as he watches Devin deftly aim his own fiery projectiles much more expertly. He draws Dawnbringer and lets the glowing blade appear. "I've always been better with a sword," he comments more to himself than the others.
Devin successfully lobs the first fire bolt into the charges on the left hand side of the door. Torrun looks up "another one like that'd be great"to which Devin responds "no worries"as he lobs another fire bolt (5) but this splatters against the mound. "A bit more elevation is what I think you need!" Ebonitus says helpfully(?). "Right you are" Devin responds 17 and this time hits his target.
While Devin is lobbing fire bolts up the hill Lukian hears Dawnbringer's voice in his head "and with me by your side you will be better still!"
After a while you hear a bang and rocks go flying in the air. The charge on the left hand side of the door/boulder goes off (28) followed shortly thereafter by the charge on the right hand side (38). As the party watch the walls on either side of the tower slump to the ground.
(@Grant: Hear nothing, as that area should've been under Silence bubble? heh... anyhow...)
"D.O.R.K nodded faintly in agreement, but would add on to that as well. "A good wind may perhaps speed its complete fall." She then looks to Torunn. "You would not happen to have additional charges would you brother? In case there is some load bearing center piece that we are to yet target to truly bring this tower down faster?" She requested.
Regardless, if after 5 minutes the tower does not fall, or there's notable activity to speak of, D.O.R.K finally frowns and suggests, "Beedo. We need you to go up there and scout the innards. Make sure the giants are either incapacitated still, or have something else in store." To which he'd grimace at the idea, but would grudgingly follow suit on after switching drivers seat with Vark.

The tower does not completely fall down but it could probably be described as being a no longer habitable structure. Muttering to himself about always being sent off to do the shitty jobs Beedo sets off to scout the castle. As he gets closer to the castle he can see the five Hill Giants arguing with each other: Anastasia = 5 Bewdiful Boy = 1 Dame Edna = 13 Drizella = 19 Hungryfella = 18
Devin isn't sure he wants to be close when this things blows, but still wants to be in range for spell attacks so he moves 100 feet from the tower.

Devin watches as the tower begins to collapse. He is ready to Dodge any falling debris but other than that he just watches.
"That was very impressive, well done Torunn. Let's wait a moment and see what happens."
