Vark just stays on the ground grumbling about hand rails and so forth. Though he does eventually shift around so he could rub a rather bruised head and bottom.
(@all: I assume it'd be another animal handling check for her to try and stop the charge. If so, apologies in advance Lukain if you wind up trampled..)
Ebonitus, when he catches up to the elephant, calls out to DORK. "Stop. Torunn wants to work out a plan before we engage and wanted me to remind you that we are not mercenaries on a mission of annihilation. I also want to see what it is that Lukian has in mind." (Refer post #3236).

D.O.R.K's eyes, which had taken on their usual red hue of a combative state since the charge, remain so even after receiving the message with some clarity. Yet after a moment of silent staring, her only answer is to wordlessly turn to look back at the Stone Giants currently at work delaying her mission -- their mission. At least for a while, in any case. But, if she can gauge the direction of the flowing river, agitation and determination to do -something- leads her to maneuvering Mr. G on a ponderous course following the river upstream in hopes of finding a thinner or slower flow.
And if to determine this meant getting closer to the water, then at least she gave the stone giants and the bridge a wide berth, if only grudgingly so. While Vark is content to continue laying about now that things have quieted, Beedo lowers his arrow and remains alone in hiding for the time being, but ever watchful for changes in the situation.

Torunn hurries and catches up with D.O.R.K and Gol. He calls for the group to come over so he can explain. "During my studies on Lantan, not much focus was given to the giants, but one of my teachers had taken a particular interest in the Stone Giants as they were known for the artisan skills. He told me that they live and are most comfortable underground and the surface is like a different reality to them, where they feel they must dismantle anything artificial which explains the bridge." He pauses for a moment, "They will only be aggressive if provoked, so I recommend we give them a berth and continue on our way as we are short on time as it is."
Devin walks over to the group to hear the discussion. "That works for me. Those guys throw stones pretty well and I'm not sure I want to go another round of dodging fly rocks."
D.O.R.K is still silent, seeming focused on her scanning along the river over any passing conversation. A feat made easier from the back of Mr. G. But she's not stopping anytime soon, so folk would have to keep pace with the casually trudging beast and rider. At least until a direct request or command to board again is called by the others...
Vark eventually finds the wherewithal to follow Torrun once he'd run after the bus, and just clamors into the wagon to nurse his bruises. Beedo, on the other hand, keeps a bead on the Stone Giants until either Lukian's plan(?) resolved (DM see here, though may need clarification from DDP), or the elf catches up with the rest.

Seeing Dork successfully halt the charging Golem and the others not engaging, Lukian turns his attention to the giants. He starts to release Dawnbringer to let her help him telepathically, but then he rethinks what the giants might interpret as an act of aggression. Instead, he prepares to misty step if his attempt at peace is unsuccessful. He begins walking slowly toward the river, yelling, "We mean you no harm! Please, we are on a mission from our various dieties concerning the giants in this land. Perhaps we can be of service to you. Will you let us attempt to help you?"

OOC: What is our new friend doing during all of this?
I don't know? What might Dawnbringer have told him?
Perhaps we can be of service to you. Will you let us attempt to help you? Lukian asks
The stone giants let Lukian approach and one flips a relatively large stone at him which lands nearby and splatters him with mud "can you move that?" he asks.
From his vantage point on the back of Golemogote, D.O.R.K. thinks she can spy where the river enters the gorge about 500 yards upstream.
If a construct could grimace, then she certainly would have sighting the gorge up ahead of them. Tempted to press on, if only for a closer examination, but leery of being too far from Lukian, D.O.R.K eventually bade Mr. G to stop and about face, rendering it easier to observe the proceedings. But, a distance would be kept (at least 120 to 150ft) from the Giants, least she again risk undoing any progress the bold cleric might've made in the past few moments.

Not undaunted, Lukian will attempt to lift the stone. If he isn't able to lift it, he will drop his eagle's splendor and cast bull's strength on himself and try again.
Ebonitus winces as he watches Lukian bend his knees and then try and lift the rock "well at last he is trying to lift properly" he mutters to himself and anybody who is listening {22}. Much to his own and certainly the Stone Giant's surprise Lukian manages to lift the stone and carry it over to the stream and drop it in. The giant who set him the test waves Lukian over and points to a slightly small rock that needs to be prised out and then dropped in the stream.
Lukian looks over his shoulder at his traveling companions as he moves to the rock indicated, not really smiling, but more wondering what reaction they're going to make as he begins to help the giants. He begins to work, immediately asking, "What has brought you to the surface? I understand your kind prefer to be safe within stone rather than standing upon it."
OOC: How much of the bridge has been dismantled? Could it still be used to safely transport Golem from one side to the other?
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Lukian takes a little more time to remove the new stone than is necessary, finally asking, "Our elephant needs to cross the river, would it be ok with you if it crossed before the bridge is too destroyed to use?"
Ebonitus moves to within 30 feet of Lukian -while keeping a wary eye on the giants - and asks him telepathically: "Are you sure about this? this looks like the only place to cross the river in some distance, it may be better to stop the destruction of the bridge."

{5} as far as Lukian - not being an engineer - the bridge looks perfectly safe.
The Stone giant just grunts and points to another small rock that needs to be prised out by more dexterous hands than giants posess.
