"What? What not again?!"Vark goes to look back just in time to see D.O.R.K fall in the water. He facepalms, and vary narrowly avoids getting stepped on again a second later. "Ach! Forget it!"He too whips out his scimitar and goes charging over to stand above the construct, seeming to take on a defensive posture over her. Except after puffing out his chest to try and make himself look a little more intimidating, he takes a slash at the bear.
(@DDP Sorry for forgetting Bless. Wouldn't have helped, I don't think this time, but still always appreciated.)
"Healed and hurt in turn," Meiva remarks, deadpan. "I suppose D.O.R.K. is also a keeper of the sacred balance. But you," she continues, turning towards the remaining owlbear, "are not. Return to the dust from whence you came," Meiva finishes, pointing at the owlbear with a thin finger. A dolorous bell sounds near its ears.

And Meiva's spell causes ... 1)Saving throw (DC 15 - 5) the Owlbear to flinch in pain from the sound of the bell tolling next to its sensitive ears. 2) Jaylen you are up followed by Beedo.
Jaylen looks at Golem and judges the elephant to be sufficiently stationery, as is Trayan. She then looks at the battlefield and Dork's fallen form ... for the second time. "She's certainly not a Timex. Our Smiling Lady," she prays, "once again, I ask for you to help my fellow travelers' coins to land face up."

"Eitha that, or she has a few bolts loose. I thought ya fixed her?" Beedo says to Torunn. But hearing Vark call him over to focus, the Goblin grumbles but charges over yelling, "I'm coming, I'm coming!" Breaking out his second scimitar, he leaps in and slashes twice at the creature. But the second is a fake-out! With a twist of the wrist, he splashes a wave of water into the Owlbear's eyes to keep it distracted. Now side by side with Vark he shouts, "Now Vark!"
Beedo's Action: Scimitar Attack: 10 Damage: 5.
Bonus Action: Helpful Feature grant Help for the next attack on remaining Owlbear.

The Owlbear has had enough - edited to reflect Post #696 1) The Owlbear has had enough and turns and runs provoking Attacks of Opportunity from both Beedo and Vark. 2) Both Beedo and Vark leap onto the back of the escaping Owlbear. 3) Vark slides off ignominiously into the rivulet with a splash but Beedo manages to slice into its back legs and while this slows it down it is not sufficient to drop it and the Owlbear escapes into the forest.
As everyone watches the owlbear turn tail feathers and run — and the goblins' subsequent attempted wrangling — Jaylen slides off Trayan's back, drops her shield onto the ground, and hurries to Dork's side. She kneels beside the warforged, lays a hand on her back, and whispers, "May your light fill this adventurer once again."

Torunn follows quickly behind Jaylen, and after she has done her bit, he says, "Gond, return this valiant soldiers strength and allow her to rise." As he says this, he places his hand on her with a look of concern on his face. When he finishes his prayer, a light the colour of a forges flame glows from his hand. (Cure Wounds: 6)
When the light comes back to her eyes, he smiles, "Wake Up protocol 001. Welcome back Red."
Beedo is breathing hard, and for a moment it looks as if he's gonna straight up give chase after the Owlbear. But after sucking in deep breathe, he looks to Vark, and Vark looks back to him. They nod in unison to each other before Vark just hands over his bow. "Not too far." Beedo scoffs, and then is off faster than most can even say "Wha-?"into the forest after the owl bear.
True to his word, he keeps his distance if/once he gets the beast insight, and plugs away at it with Shortbow shots (5 in all) before giving up or taking it down. Vark, on the otherhand, sees Torunn go to check on D.O.R.K. "Be right back." He says as he two darts off after Beedo.
(@Grant Between Cunning Action and action to dash, he's got an easy 90ft of movement a turn. But if its more a tracking thing since he's trying to play it safe (ie. keep it in sight, but force it to Dash if it wants to get close to him, the Survival roll is in the spoiler. Here's hoping he doesn't get himself killed out there...)
Unlike other prayers and attempts to heal her, metal groans as it knits itself back together as if soldered back together, and dings buff out as if hammered back into place. Her eyes are still red when the light returns to them. And again, she practically shoots up into a seated position to look for more enemies. Only after seeing none does she sag on the spot, calming down for all intents and purposes. "So that was an owl bear... I should use a shield for the next encounter."She finally looks to Torunn, then to the others. "Injuries minimal. Assessment. We should finish resting. I will perform an initial perimeter scan." Without waiting for the others, D.O.R.K tries to pick up Door Knocker and take off at least a short ways to the edge of the clearing, busying with checking for any other signs of danger.

When D.O.R.K, disappears, Torunn just sighs, before returning to his place by the tree where he gets out his equipment. He looks up, "I will take whatever shift is required." As he does every night, he whispers a prayer for Gond to guide his hand before he continues his work on the block of wood.
And the Party sleeps peacefully 1) After about 5 minutes Beedo and Vark both comes back into the campsite. They go up to D.O.R.K. and almost simultaneously say "hey Boss Lady its great to see you back on your feet. We followed dat Owlbear for a bit but couldn't get a good shot at it. Anyways we chased it up into some rocks." 2) The night passes peacefully and everybody can record a long rest. 3)Next morning the sun rises at about 5.10 am after a fairly balmy night of 70 degrees and with no wind it promises to be a beautiful day.
Devin spends his turn on watch making sure the owlbear did not return. When he was relieved he took some time in prayer to Mystra asking for guidance and power. He then lays down by the fire, Aslan curled up next to him.
In the morning he takes his shield and staff and he and Aslan go to the stream.
"How's the water Aslan? Ok to drink?"
Taking his cue from the Tressym he'll wash his face in the stream and drink some water if the cat drinks also. He'll then refill his water skins.
Devin then looks around and up into the trees.
"Let's continue east and hope we make contact with the elves today."
Doing a listed style for at least part of this for the sake of expediency. Hope that is alright. >.>;
1) D.O.R.K thanked the duo after the initial start from their sudden appearance. 2) Before bedding down: Teaching Gole to charge has been put on hold. The trio isntead set to work on butchering the Owlbear. The meat might not sit well with the daintier constitutions of the others, but for goblins it was nothing worse than their usual fair. The rest they set aside in special ration bundles, (if you need a roll, let me know), claws are turned into necklaces for each, and for the pelt... 3) Sacrificing their spare scimitars and D.O.R.K's set of chain for the process if need be, Beedo asks Torunn if there some "quick god magic thingy" the dwarf could do to make him and Vark a better set of set of armor(studded) using the bits of metal and pelt for the process. 4) Vark tries to gather together some wood over his and Beedo's watch hour to make some replacement arrows. (don't know if he can, and if so, does he need a check to try?)
True to her word, D.O.R.K stood before Jaylen towards the end of their watch with a javelin held out in offering for practice. If she refuses the silent offering, D.O.R.K doesn't press the issue. Though there is a moment's pause of just staring at the cleric before the living construct moves on to wake Vark and Beedo for their morning training.
"As an acolyte of the Mother, it is important that we not only are able to anticipate our enemies movements, but that of our allies as well. Today's focus will be on learning to fight as a seamless unit. Something you two have grasped in part already this operative suspects, but have yet to master due to lack of necessity. We will change that now."D.O.R.K has to pause for longer than usual after as the expectant complaint or sly remark from Beedo had been absent.
Instead, the two stood side by side with scimitars at the ready and a surprisingly determined look about them. Was this the power of owlbear meat? Shaking herself from the tangent, she moves on with the lesson, demonstrating with a stick in place of a scimitar proper form for wielding their blades as more than just sharp objects.
When the group converges to talk over the plan, D.O.R.K. is silent but watchful; only really choosing to simply nod along with the majority. Despite the vigor showed in showing her acolytes the ropes, the construct had been subdued since having to join in the huddle.
