As the party finishes undertaking a quick - about an hour - look around Lvl 2 of the mines and found not much of interest, Devin says “I’ve had a quick and I mean a quick scan of all the other levels and found not much either. The question is what now?”
"Well, if there is no sign of activity by this back ramp, perhaps we are safe to explore a bit more as we head down. There has to be a forge somewhere here...unless it is significantly lower..."
Both goblins look to each other, nod once, and then say just slightly short of in unison, "Ramp!" D.O.R.K, as to be expected, took a few moments more to consider while worrying at the symbol on her forehead. But eventually, she too nodded in agreement and added, "Our survivability will be greater taking the ramp, as it will be easier to mount at least some form of defense taking the ramp. Whereas the platform could be more easily compromised So let us make haste." Then with that, provided there were no dissenting opinions, opt to take point alongside Ilezenya and the others not far behind.
"I agree, if there is nothing else happening, I say we make our way to the bottom by the ramp. I will continue to use the eye until it runs out. The giants are at the bottom I would reckon as that is where their door was from the outside." Devin says ready to proceed down.
Devin continues to use the eye to recon the bottom level searching further and further down passages.
The party moves fairly quickly down the various levels before reaching - after about an hour - the bottom level. Off in the distance somewhere deep inside the mine they can hear the sound of metal striking rock.
(OOC: I think there might still be some confusion regarding time tables/actions given Devin's last action, but going to carry on for now.)
Once the party safetly arrive at the bottom level, or at the very least, bottom of the ramp, D.O.R.K looks back and whispers to Ebonitus. "Activity Detected. Now may be a good time to call upon the blessings of your goddess to quiet our progress." She glances to some of the party. "Ill equipped though we may be.... Still, with the added noise of their own activities, it should be enough." She says as much. Then if not clear that no light -- natural or otherwise illuminated the immediate space or some passageway nearby, her attention returns to Ebonitus. "And mayhaps a light miracle? One that we can more readily cover up, unlike a torch."

Ebonitus is shaken from his melancholy brought on by the walk down the ramp in the dark by D.o.R.K.'s words of wisdom. "Now that's a bright idea. Let me see what I can find." he replies. He pulls out a copper coin and calls upon the Earth Mother to brighten his day. He practices opening and closing his left hand around the coin to block or release the light. Satisfied that he can do that as necessary. He then calls to the others "Gather around so I can include you all in a spell to increase our stealth for the next hour, though you must remain within 30 feet of me to retain the effect". When all are nearby he calls upon the Earth Mother to bestow them with the ability to pass without trace.
Both Beedo and even Vark can't help snickering at Ebonitus incidental pun. D.O.R.K looked back to the pair and canted her head to the side, only to shake her head in dismissal and gesture for them to follow the Earth Genasi's instructions. "It is alright, Devin. Although we spent a great deal of time climbing, it is easy to loose track of time underground for Non-dwarves."She holds a hand over her chest and slightly bowed her head. "Praise be to the Red... Knight, for her insight including a measure of this gift in me."She then makes an exaggerated show of taking in a deep breath.
"Now, onward. We keep to the same formation as we had in the tunnels above, and must prioritize searching for side rooms to investigate going forward. Note again. It is likely the room in question will be heavily guarded."She reminds, one last time, before taking up her position towards the front of the group and leading the group onward...
(@Grant: On that note, quick question. When we made it to the bottom, did it have side tunnels similar to the above levels suggestion we were still in some sort of mining area? Or something else? Last description on where we wound up was a touch sparse, so not entirely certain on our options atm)

Currently travelling in NZ which means internet much better but don’t have hard copy of book. Will be back on NI late next week and will try to get a detailed post up the weekend of 24 Feb
(OOC - given Rhanloi’s absence and the cruddy internet on Norfolk Island we’re going to need to jointly bot Illezenya so here goes).
Illezenya opts to not join with the party but rather scouts about 150 feet ahead trusting to his enhanced dark vision and natural stealthiness to avoid danger. The party moves their way through the mines noticing as they do so that the work is far more recent than in the previous levels. Suddenly Illezenya here’s the clang of metal on rock not far ahead. As the party is only 150 feet behind Illezenya they too can hear the sound albeit more faintly!
By my calculation that means Devin is using the eye for about one minute per level - correct?
DM - Stopping a god in his tracks
Yes, that sounds about right

Love God. Love Others. Any Questions?
"Should we continue down the ramp, or catch the platform?" asks Ebonitus

"I recommend the ramp, since we know it is a safe route down..." replies the dusk warden.

Torunn just nods in agreement and joins the others, but he looks back to the platform, hoping he could investigate further it's mechanisms later...

By the time the CB party has hot to the lowest level Devin’s spell has been exhausted!

Torunn misses his powder, not for the first and certainly not for the last time, and takes out his maul, getting ready.

Action: cast cantrip light upon the copper coin
Action: cast Pass without Trace providing a +10 Bonus to Dex(Stealth) checks for an hour or until my concentration is broken.

Devin frowns as the spell runs out. "I've lost track of time, I thought the spell would last a while longer. I am ready to proceed forward."
He then speaks a word of command and the driftglobe floats next to him.
"With a word I can turn the light on and off."
If needed he turns it on so that he can see.

Can somebody roll stealth for Illezenya.

If I understand his sheet right it's disadvantage +2. I don't see anything else to change it
