The door opens, everyone kind of looks at each other with wide eyes, then Gruxx yells, "Give me the wizard!" and thrusts his glaive over Glynqinal's shoulder and into the eye of the first Redbrand. The (green) Redbrand jerks, then collapses to the ground dead.
The (yellow) Redbrand yells, "Gerund!" and steps up, straddles his fallen friend, and swings twice with his shortsword at Glynquinal. (shortsword 1 attack: 10, damage: 6 piercing damage; shortsword 2 attack: 19, damage: 8 piercing damage) (critical fumble roll: 1019) The Redbrand swings so erratically at his foe (Glynquinal), that the sword hits and gets lodged into one of the barrels at the elf's side. The Redbrand has to yank it free (so he doesn't have enough time to swing it again).
The (blue) Redbrand steps up behind his friend and, with no way to engage anyone, yells, "We're going to kill you! For Gerund!"
Glynquinal hearing his friends warning ducks. With a wicked glint in his eyes, Glynquinal draws Talon. Grasping it firmly with both hands he will do his best to end the redbrand in the doorway. As he strikes Glynquinal offers the redbrand, "You have chosen poorly."
When his turn comes up, the Herr Doktor Professor casts Vicious Mockery at the Redbrand who swung at Glynquinal:
"Entdchuldigung sie, bitte. Did I hear you right? Are you actually willing to fight and die for a gerund -- the present participle form of a verb used as a noun? Dying is foolish, when lives are thrown away for such a cause!"
Damage from Vicious Mockery: 4.
The Herr Doktor Professor then continues his mockery hoping to make the Redbrands reveal some information about this Gerund.
"If you will fight for such a cause, you should also fight for using the present participle of a verb as an adjective."
OOC: Rock (and everyone), characters don't do anything until their turn unless it's a reaction or they have readied an action or a movement (can't do both). If Rock yells, "Duck!" to Glyn and Gruxx, they can't duck until their turn. Also, you can only talk on your turn, so, again, Rock, you can't attempt to intimidate anyone when it's not your turn. Also, if you do something that requires a target to do something, such as reply to a question or react to intimidation, remember that they can't do that until their turn (it doesn't happen immediately during your turn). You could essentially say on your turn that you yell, "Duck!" and ready an action for when both Glynquinal and Gruxx duck out of the way. Then, after both Glynquinal and Gruxx have taken their next turns, if both ended their turn ducking, at the end of Gruxx's turn, Rock would then act. However, if one or both do not end their turn ducking, that readied action goes poof and doesn't happen. Also, other things have a chance of interrupting the attack, such as the foe ducking behind something themselves. On the other hand, there are two grown individuals between Rock and his intended target. I have to give the target at least half cover in this case. So, Rock, do you throw at the target, not waiting for Glyn and Gruxx to duck (and giving Yellow half cover), or do you only yell "Duck" on your turn and ready your action (you can't ready a bonus action, by the way, so you'd only be throwing the first axe) for when Glyn and Gruxx "duck"?

OOC: Sorry I disappeared. We can use your already-posted rolls, Rock. Not sure where Ian has gone, so I'll go for him.
Rock yells, "Duck!" and prepares to throw one of his axes.
Glynquinal, hearing his friends warning, ducks to the side. As he does so, with a wicked glint in his eyes, Glynquinal draws Talon. Grasping it firmly with both hands he will do his best to end the redbrand in the doorway. As he strikes Glynquinal offers the redbrand, "You have chosen poorly." His horizontal slide cuts across the (yellow) Redbrand's stomach.
Ian draws his shortbow and fires an arrow at the (yellow) Redbrand. (shortbow attack: 10, damage: 7 piercing damage) His aim is off the bar, and the projectile hits the wall instead.
Herr Doktor comments, magic interlaced with his words, "Entdchuldigung sie, bitte. Did I hear you right? Are you actually willing to fight and die for a gerund -- the present participle form of a verb used as a noun? Dying is foolish, when lives are thrown away for such a cause!"
WIS save: 19
The (yellow) Redbrand squints at Herr Doktor and shakes his head.
Round 2: Gruxx, Yellow, Blue, Rock, Glyn, Ian, HDP
Gruxx, you're up! Don't forget that Rock yelled, "Duck!"
Gruxx shifts his weight onto one foot and thrusts his glaive forward around Glynquinal. The blade end skewers the (yellow) Redbrand. As he withdraws it, the man falls forward dead. The barbarian then drops to the ground as well, and Rock throws his handaxe at the remaining (blue) Redbrand. The weapon lands in the man's thigh and he hollers in pain.
The (blue) man drops his sword, clasps his leg with one hand, raises the other, and says through unbidden tears, "Stop! Don't kill me!"
Glynquinal hearing the mans cry gives him a reassuring grin, "We have no intention of taking your life is you prove useful." Stepping over the bodies and through the doorway past Rock he enters the room to occupy Q14 if able. "Tell us now, where is the wizard known as Glasstaff?"
Glynquinal will keep Talon at the ready, and keep a wary eye on the wounded Redbrand.

OOC: Sorry for jumping the gun, DDP. I just couldn't resist the urge to poke fun at gerunds.
Rock will wait for Grux and Glyn to duck and throw the first axe, would you like me to roll again or count the roll that I gave
OOC: Sorry I disappeared. We can use your already-posted rolls, Rock. Not sure where Ian has gone, so I'll go for him.
