Glynquinal, remembering the image they found after encountering the Hobgoblins that looked suspiciously like Gruxx decides to search both of the captives for a similar item.
Investigation 21
To each of the Goblins he asks a simple question, "Which one of you wants to live longer? We want to know who sent you looking for us. The one that talks first lives longer than the other. My friend Gruxx hasn't smashed enough to satisfy him this week. Your choice."
Glynquinal, disappointingly, you find nothing else but dirt on these two.
The two goblins are dragged over near the glowing blade and woken. The swear in the goblin tongue as they realize their situation.

"Rock want a leg or arm," the dragonborn adds, trying to scare them.

One of the goblins raises an eyebrow at Rock. The other says a few more swear words in the goblin tongue.
Ian is about to respond when Herr Doctor interrupts, speaking to Glyn, but eyeing the goblins Why, friend Glyn, I believe you are correct. Only one is needed. As a matter of fact, only one with legs can carry a note in one hand. That means he doesnt need the other arm, or his tongue, or one of his eyes...there is very little a messenger needs to convey a message...
The goblins stop looking dubious as Herr Doktor speaks. Their eyes soften. The swearing one responds in Common, "No one sent us to look for you. We don't know who you are. We look for anyone."
Glynquinal watches the scene. Not very fond of Goblins, still remembering being a pin cushion as three arrows found their mark leaving three distinct scars.
To the closest Goblin, "I believe you, but you won't leave this place alive to cause anyone else trouble. You won't be able to harm another innocent traveler"
Drawing his dagger, Glynquinal steps close, and cuts the throat of the closest Goblin.
Glynquinal slits the throat of the first goblin, and as he is moving toward the second, a thought suddenly floats into Rock's mind. Goblins are clearly in league with this spider person, who may know where that Gundren dwarf may have been taken. Maybe they should question this goblin to see if it knows something.
Glynquinal hears the question from Rock, and stares intently at the remaining Goblin. Hoping the last one will understand the precarious situation it is in, and seeing how fast his companion died, he tries one last time to get something useful out of him.
Glynquinal to the last Goblin, "We are indeed looking for a Dwarf friend of ours. While your life is worthless. His life is of some value to us. I would trade your life for his if you can show us where he is being held." Glynquinal wipes the blood on his dagger off on the clothing of the now cooling body of the dead Goblin. "You may yet live, if you are willing to do this single task, and you know we have the resolve to end you if you cross us. Will you choose life or death?"
OOC I'm assuming more than 10 minutes have passed while the party has been tying up goblins and talking. If not That Inspiration from HDP would be used here to help persuade said Goblin.

The goblin watches with large eyes as Glynquinal cleans his blade. Its eyes then linger on its dead companion as its life blood continues to spill from the slit across its neck. "D-dwarf?" the creature croaks. It then tears its eyes away and looks at Glynquinal. "I've only heard about one. They took to castle. To King Grol. Maybe your friend? Don't kill me."
"What castle? King Grol's castle," the goblin responds with confusion. "It ... um ... " and he says the word for west in the goblin tongue, which Herr Doktor translates. "Half a day's walk from here. Too far. You go. I run the other way."
Glynquinal considers the Goblin's words. and steps off a few paces motioning to the other party members to join him in a quick discussion on what move to make next.
Rock to party "it may not be what we are looking for but it may also be the source of all the troubles around here!" "We should go and look it over and find out."

Ian and HDP hear this...do they think the goblins are being honest?

HDP tells the group. He says go to the west. Half a days journey is not too long. We should go, but we should make him lead us there.
Ian agrees that the Goblin should come along and that we should not let him go.
