OOC: Very interesting, HDP! But, let me answer Glynquinal first. Misty Step only takes you 30 feet, so you couldn't have reached T16 without using your action to dash. And while T16 wouldn't immediately give Gruxx a flanking advantage, he could move to T14 without provoking an attack of opportunity, so that would essentially work as well, so long as Gruxx remembered to move before attacking. Stepping to U15 keeps Gruxx from having to move before attacking. Not really that big of a deal, but that was my logic. Now, let's see what happens to Orange ...
Charisma save: 12
The (orange) goblin, already startled by the sudden appearance of Glynquinal at his six, hestitates at Herr Doktor's words. He growls in the goblin tongue at the bard while eyeing Gruxx and his glaive, "You have already killed the others, why would you spare me?" The goblin has not dropped its weapon, but has paused to consider its options.
OOC2: A word about languages. In some of the campaigns I'm in, we use spoilers to post speech in languages other than common so that those players whose characters don't know other languages can choose to not read the spoilers, and so the player knows as much as the character. I'm shying away from spoilers in this campaign because I've found that you all don't like them. So, Ian and Glyquinal, when Herr Doktor or Gruxx (who also knows goblin, interestingly enough) say that they're speaking goblin, you need to keep in mind that your character is not understanding what they're saying. It's hard, but if you react in any way to the information said, that's called metagaming, and it's really ruining some of the fun. It's completely alright for your character(s) to ask the speaking character later what they said. Or it might be that, watching body language and the evolution of circumstances, that you can figure out what was said. Just keep that in mind.
Forgot ... Blue's first death save: 2
Gruxx, you're up! Gruxx, a note: Don't forget that if you haven’t attacked a hostile creature since your last turn or taken damage, your rage will end.
OOC True, that was why I said Movement 30 feet (F9 to L11), Action-Dash move 30 feet (L11 to R13), Bonus action Misty Step from R13 to T16 which puts Glynquinal shoulder to shoulder with Gruxx and within 5 feet of the goblin giving Gruxx some competition. Less than 90 feet of total movement, and no attack that round as it was all movement to get into position..
Glynquinal, realizing the direction Herr Dokfor Professor is going in puts his short sword and dagger back in their sheaths. 'Maybe we can gather some intelligence on how many of these ambush parties there are in the area, he thought.' With Gruxx grappling the goblin, Glynquinal uses his action to make sure the slippery for he and Gruxx are close to will not escape.
OOC: I should have stated that the goblin did not try to stop the grapple.
OOC2: Ian, tieing up the goblin would be an action. Rolling a medicine check would also be an action (whether you do it now or later, you've already rolled for it). And searching the goblin would also be an action. You need to decide which you're going to do now. Here's a little hint of the future: If we get back around to the goblin and he doesn't fight back, combat will end as long as no more hostile actions are taken. I will still need to keep track of the time because every six seconds, I have to roll a death saving throw for Blue. So, go ahead and post what you want to do for round 4, and I'll start round 5 since what you're doing shouldn't affect what Herr Doktor does.
Round 5: Herr Doktor, Blue (unconscious, 0 saves/1 fails), Orange (grappled), Gruxx, Ian & Glynquinal - Ian and Glynquinal go at the same time
Since Grux and Glynquinal have the orange goblin grappled and flanked, the Herr Doktor Professor will Dash to help Ian with the blue goblin. if the party can save this goblin, he thinks, it might convince the other one to divulge useful information.
Since HDP will use his action to dash, he can't make a Medicine check this round.
Gruxx drops his glaive and scoops the tiny goblin into his strong arms, catching it off guard. The goblin makes disgruntled noises and grunts, but doesn't fight back. As Ian takes out a rope and binds the unconscious (blue) goblin, Glynquinal stands ready to help Gruxx keep hold of the goblin if it tries to escape. Seeing the (orange) goblin grappled, Herr Doktor turns and rushes back across the street toward the unconscious goblin and Ian.
Combat is over, feel free to RP
Secret DM rolls: 111913
The goblin, still speaking in the tongue only Herr Doktor and Gruxx understand, raises its voice to yell at Ian, "Your friends are cold blooded killers," he taunts. "You had better be careful, or your silver tongue may reward you with one of their daggers in your back."
After he finishes binding the (blue) goblin, Ian attempts to stop the bleeding from the arrow and dagger wounds with his own medical knowledge, but he is unable to stabilize the creature.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Glynquinal while knowing he is not well skilled in medicine and healing will encourage Herr Doktor Professor instead by saying, "Herr Doktor, do you have any spells left to heal the one Ian is working with? I'm no good at healing, and he doesn't look very good."
With his weapons sheathed, Glynquinal turns his attention to the squirming goblin Gruxx has snatched up.
Glynquinal looks at Gruxx and offers, " Gruxx, do you want to move closer to the other two, or tie him up and put him in the back of the wagon? Could be more of that kind around, and it would be nice to know before we get swarmed. He could be useful if we can get him to talk"
Glynquinal bends over and picks up the glaive Gruxx dropped. The weight of it surprises him as he picks it up. It weighs three times as much as the short sword he is used to. Glynquinal puts the glaive in the back of the wagon, and then goes over to retrieve anything he can find on the body of the yellow goblin. Anything he finds he will put in the back of the wagon as well.
Glynquinal smiles at Gruxx and says, "You are going to have to teach me how to speak some Goblin sometime when we get the chance Gruxx. I don't understand a words he's said."
Looking at the tied up goblin Glynquinal offers, "No chance you speak Common is there? We don't want to hurt you, we were only defending ourselves. We really need to talk about where your friends are so we don't have to go through that again."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"I am actually not that kind of doktor," the Herr Doktor Professor tells Ian with a chuckle. "I am untrained in Medicine; I believe I was unentschuldigt fehlen -- what you would call playing hooky -- when that class was taught at bard college.
"But one does not know what one is capable of unless one tries, nicht wahr?"
"My healing spells are a limited resource," the Herr Doktor Professor tells Glynquinal. "They are for you and our brave friends, not for these cowardly anklebiters."
In the Goblin tongue, he says: "Do not wag your tongue at us, fiend! Do not think that we have forgotten how you struck at us from ambush, attacked us without provocation! The wounds caused by your arrows do not dispose us to treat you kindly. Tell us what we want to know, and we will spare you. Otherwise, my large friend there will likely crush your skull as easily as an eggshell."
Glynquinal calls out to Herr Doktor Professor, "While spells may be very limited, it could go a long way to gaining their trust, and making it easier to gather information. How's the other one looking?"
Once Glynquinal is done searching the body and stripping it of anything valuable, he begins to dig a shallow grave to lay the goblin to rest.

Glynquinal puts the glaive in the back of the wagon, and then goes over to retrieve anything he can find on the body of the yellow goblin. Anything he finds he will put in the back of the wagon as well.
Yellow has on it a scimitar, a shortbow, 9 arrows, two pieces of dried meat (four pieces of meat equal one ration), and 8 copper pieces.
Gruxx speaks in goblin, “The fights over goblin. No need for any of that foolin’ talk.” Gruxx sits the goblin upright on the back of the cart. “Like my friend said, you help us and you will keep all your limbs intact.” Gruxx gets his waterskin and pours it in the goblins mouth if it accepts making sure not to touch it to it’s maw.
The (orange) goblin looks angry, a little insulted, and confused as it accepts the water.
”There. Now, I need to know and I need to know right now. Where is the rest of your clan?”
The (orange) goblin opens its mouth as if to speak when ...
Glynquinal smiles at Gruxx and says, "You are going to have to teach me how to speak some Goblin sometime when we get the chance Gruxx. I don't understand a words he's said." Looking at the tied up goblin Glynquinal offers, "No chance you speak Common is there? We don't want to hurt you, we were only defending ourselves. We really need to talk about where your friends are so we don't have to go through that again."
OOC: Orange is not bound. Blue was bound, but Orange was just grappled. So, Gruxx put it in the back of the wagon, where it is sitting, but it is not bound.
The (orange) goblin glares at Glynquinal. "Of course I speak common," it replies in common. "Goblins are not animals." He sneers at the rogue. "Elves are the animals — treating everyone else like dirt caught under their shiny fingernails. Taking whatever they want. Leaving us to forage for whatever they leave behind."
Ian will search his goblin (blue) for any valuables or weapons, then attempt to help the good doctor in any way he can to stabilize the goblin. OOC, don't know how to help. Do I roll to help? Or roll medicine to help HDP, or something else?
Blue has on it a scimitar, a shortbow, 10 arrows, two pieces of dried meat (four pieces of meat equal one ration), and 10 copper pieces.
OOC2: To help someone, you can either declare that you're allowing the other player to roll again (basically, giving them advantage), or you can roll yourself. Since you can see the other players' character sheets, sometimes it makes sense to let whoever has the higher modifier to roll. It can also be a preference on whether you'd like to go ahead and know if it works or not (if you go ahead and roll) instead of waiting for the first person to log on and roll a second time.
HDP makes a Medicine check:15.
Herr Doktor, despite his explanation that he skipped class the day they covered medieval first aid, is able to stabilize Blue. The goblin will regain 1 hp (and be able to wake up) in 3 hours.
"My healing spells are a limited resource," the Herr Doktor Professor tells Glynquinal. "They are for you and our brave friends, not for these cowardly anklebiters." The wounds caused by your arrows do not dispose us to treat you kindly. Tell us what we want to know, and we will spare you. Otherwise, my large friend there will likely crush your skull as easily as an eggshell."
The goblin narrows its eyes at Herr Doktor and also switches back to the goblin tongue. "We have been chased by the blades and arrows of your kind of generations. We have had to learn to strike first, else we would have been exterminated by now. We are what you have made us. Simply because you do not like how we look, you think you can push us around and treat us like we do not deserve the same freedoms as you. Tell me you would not have been celebrated in your shiny cities if you had ambushed us and killed my friends and comrades. Why is it so different for us?" Finally, he looks back at Gruxx and jeers (still in goblin). "And I'm not scared of this round ears. He has tried to best me and found I am just as much a warrior as he."
Glynquinal calls out to Herr Doktor Professor, "While spells may be very limited, it could go a long way to gaining their trust, and making it easier to gather information. How's the other one looking?" Once Glynquinal is done searching the body and stripping it of anything valuable, he begins to dig a shallow grave to lay the goblin to rest.
The (orange) goblin makes a noise of disbelief and crosses its arms over its chest.

Since Grux and Glynquinal have the orange goblin grappled and flanked, the Herr Doktor Professor will Dash to help Ian with the blue goblin. if the party can save this goblin, he thinks, it might convince the other one to divulge useful information.
