((Ooc: Lilyth pulls out her bag of holding that she’s always had and pulls out a boat that she also always had—))

Lilyth blinks in confusion at Maegan’s sudden outburst, tapping her pencil on her chin before writing something down really quick. She looks to Erok and shrugs. “I thought it was a good attempt.”

She waits for the rest of the group to proceed down the slope and pulls Cora aside and whispers to her: “Do I know how to swim?”

Cora startles very noticeably as Lilly pulls a boat out of her ba- Oh. =P

She looks at Erok, and then at Maegan, then back to Erok. "Sheesh," she jokes, "Who broke HER teacups?"

Cora pulls Lilly in close, for two reasons, to answer her question, and to just smell the sweetness of her hair and be close to her for just one moment. "Believe it or not, beautiful, I don't think you do!" she whispered back, thinking about how before she was a vampire, and probably didn't like water. Not knowing entirely if that was true, she added. "Let's find out? Worse come to worse, copy me." She smile, squeezed her arm reassuredly, and took her to the edge of the water.

Maegan, having heard Cora’s comment, returns and says, “Teacups really, do you guys think I lead a life of luxury or something, I grew up with nothing and had to deal with sights so unimaginable that none of you could even realise. I don’t do well with jokes after all jokes aren’t funny if you haven’t grown up being told jokes. I came here to prove that I’m not some heartless monster so can we please get a move on.” At which point Maegan storms off again and begins to swim. (ooc does the air genasi holding their breath indefinitely work underwater as well because I would assume it would but I don’t have a clue)

Cora smiles, raises her eyebrows in amusement as Maegan speaks, and humorously just shakes her head, as if shooing off a small child who didn't like what's for supper. 

"Actually, her hissy fit gave me an idea." Cora says. "Maybe the breath holding genasi's can see what's on the other side first, and come back to report what they saw. We have no idea how much water is down there, or how long this pathway is."

Maegan:  You duck down under the water and swim forward. Thanks to your heritage, you are able to hold your breath as long as you like and don't have to worry about air. The passage in front of you splits, the tunnels forming a twisting labyrinth of passages. You are at the beginning of what must be an underwater maze.

You aren't far in, and right now could easily find your way back. If you want to proceed on your own, make a survival check.

Lilyth gives a frown to Cora, just learning she couldn't swim, but before she could respond, Maegan came back to give the rogue a piece of her mind.

In which, the cleric writes down in her notebook again:

 While Maegan is underwater, Lilyth goes to inspect the glyphs that are glowing under the water (if possible).

Intelligence/Investigation: 11

Erok watches Cora and Maegan's interaction with a confused look on his face.  What do teacups have to do with jokes? he wondered.  He shrugged and went with Lilly to look at the glyphs.  Perhaps he would recognize something. 

Inv/Int: 14

Lilyth & Erok: You examine the glyphs. They seem very similar to the glyphs that have lined the temple so far. You don't discover if there is anything different about the ones in this tunnel.

Maegan will return and tell the rest of the group, “Um guys there’s an underwater maze under the water (ooc of course duh) I’ll be fine to traverse it because I can hold my breath I don’t know about you guys that’s all.”

"I don't believe I can hold my breath long enough to navigate an underwater maze," Erok says.  "Unless we could figure out a way to drain the water, perhaps we should try another doorway?" 

"Where's the underwater maze?" Cora laughs at Maegan. "Yeah, we're not going that way. Come on. Let's open a different door."

Before they open another door Maegan just darts off and says “Well, you guys can search another way but I can hold my breath forever so I’m going to search the underground maze” and Maegan jumps back in the water and starts swimming again.

Survival check: 2

Cora watches as Maegan just does her own thing. She turns to the others. "Well, I ain't goin' in there." She states plainly. She yells at the water: "Never split the party..!"

Lilyth watches Maegan run off again and before she could even protest, the Air Genasi was back underwater. “Oh Thoth, please guide her. She’s definitely going to get lost...” 

("With a roll like that, yeah..")

Erok watches with shock as Maegan disappears under the water.
