Healer quietly crawls overhead out of the mouth of the tunnel up onto the back wall of the cave. Now inside, the space appears to be roughly sixty feet across by thirty feet wide and twenty-five feet from floor to ceiling. It is completely dark and reeks of wet soil and mildew, but there is also a light breeze wafting through the cave that carries an odd faintly sweet scent. Giant cobwebs dot the landscape amidst both the stalagmites and stalactites, not all of these webs are empty.
Angie and Thokein stand at the mouth of the cave and look into the pool of water that Healer skirted by in his spider form. The water is still except for the drip.. drip.. drip.. from overhead. It looks cold, brackish, and polluted. Gobber stealthily slips through the opening and into the cavern. Up ahead towards the middle of the cavern he spots a large dark bulbous heap with disheveled hairy legs strewn in different directions. Closer examination of the giant spider reveals it is dripping ichor into small pools around around it’s lifeless body. It appears to have been freshly killed.
As Angie and Thokein move further into the cavern Thokein kicks a yellowed skull that was laying on the path. It rolls foward and into the pool of water with a splash. Angie wispers almost too loudly.. “Shhh” as she douses her light spell.
Gobber you turn around to see what the commotion is and see a spider bigger than the dead one at your feet begin to descend down onto Angie and Thokein. This spider isn’t brown like the dead one at your feet, but ghostly white and with hairy cobalt blue claws and large ebony fangs. Healer you also spot the phase spider as it is about to crash down on your friends.
DM Note: Angie and Thokein don’t see the monster coming and are both surprised. The phase spider doesn’t see Healer, or Gobber as such you both get one surprise round. Please roll initiative.
Healer’s spider form retracts into a ball and the phase spider misses its quarry. When Healer uncurls he can no longer see his larger ghostly foe... it seems that the monstrosity has disappeared into thin air.
Angie casts bless on her companions. For the next minute whenever any of them roll for an attack or saving throw, they can add an extra d4 to the roll.
Going to roll for Gobber to keep moving, stealth24.
And a roll for the DM: 15

Gobber, you’re up since the phase spider and Angie are surprised.
Gobber is going to take his longbow and take a shot at the phase spider (disadvantage with heavy weapons cause of small size).
"Hungry? Here's something to munch on." Gobber lets loose an arrow towards the spider.
