"Seems fair, if the payment on delivery is likely to be short." Kol replies. "Anyone here specialize in haggling? Most of my negotiating is done with a blade, and that's no way to treat an employer."

"I have no skill in haggling, but I am in as well. Coin in my pocket would be very helpful right now," says Miri. "Also, it sounds like an exciting adventure!"
Zuldarr gives a nod, "In some cases you can, but it depends on whom you are dealing with. Some people are not as... negotiable as others. I believe this is one situation where we can haggle for a bit more money up front." Zuldarr scratches at his chin, "But you usually just can't outright ask for more money, you should or need to present a decent reason for needing it. Such as to purchase better equipment or replenish lost supplies."

"Well, let's head over and see what he can add in to sweeten the deal. If his friend is in trouble it'll be better to find him sooner than later" Kol adds, getting up from his seat.
Boo continues to eat, watch and listen to those around her as they decide what to do... still pretty much in no position herself to negotiate anything, willing to just accept whatever she can get.
Mercy's eye goes wide! 10 gold! 10 gold?! That's a tremendous amount of money! She looks to Boo before pocketing it. "Boo! This is so much money!"She whispers
Miri accepts the gold gratefully, eyes wide. As she pockets it, she leans over to Summer. "I hope this goes well. That seems like an awful lot of gold just to find his missing friend," she whispers.
Zuldarr takes the ten gold and gives a once over glance at his companions before placing the gold into a pouch on his belt, "So, the last known location was down at the docks, eh? I've heard it can be pretty dangerous down there at times, and we might not be... equipped properly should such a bad turn of events occur. Perhaps our already generous benefactor could spare a few extra gold to ensure that we have a better chance at finding and returning his lost friend safely." Zuldarr will say keeping his tone neutral and his demeanor calm.
Volo gives each character a small pouch containing 10 gp simply for accepting his quest. "Good Luck, adventurers!" Mercy's eye goes wide! 10 gold! 10 gold?! That's a tremendous amount of money! She looks to Boo before pocketing it. "Boo! This is so much money!" She whispers
Boo gives Volo a polite curtsy as she receives her pouch of gold... hearing Mercy's words she turns to her friend sharing her joy and excitement giggling, "I am sorry I ever questioned you Mercy, it was a great idea of yours to come here to look for work... I have never seen or held so much as this all at once!!!"
"Er, umm, I don't have a lot more cash on me, but I usually keep these for emergencies." He hands you two healing potions. "I suppose I can give them to you and an additional 40 gold for supplies."
Boo watches and listens, left totally speechless at the kindness of Volo... her eyes wide as she looks on as he hands over the additional gold and the two Potion of Healing to Zuldarr.
Zuldarr nods his head to Volo as he takes the gold and potions, "Thank you kindly. Is there a place we can find you once we have retrieved your friend?"

Summer leans in at the table, looking conspiratorially up at Zuldarr.
"You... You can do that?" He says in a hushed tone. "Just... ask for more money?"
