Before Qiao leaves the mushroom, it releases an odd cloud of spores.  As Qiao inhales them, he hears a voice in his mind.

"You aren't . . .you aren't trying to hurt me?"

Kerook, Shushaar looks slightly confused.

"Me not speak good.  You speak Undercommon?"

Stool will look around, seeming rather lost, and then head over to where Shuushar and Kerook are "talking."  He once more releases odd spores, and both of them hear him in their heads.

"I can help, I guess.  We can all communicate with each other this way, I have enough spores."

“Unfortunately, I only speak the languages of the sky. I am Kerook.” Kerook feels an odd sensation as Stool comes upon them. “W–What was that?” Then he realizes that Spore is helping them. “Thank you kind one. I’m just trying to find out what this place is, and how we might go about finding our freedom. Can you both help me to that end?”

Stool pipes up.

"This place is scary, isn't it?  It's full of the dark spider people, and they do bad things.  There's a lot of them . . ."

Shuushar nods gravely.

"The little one speaks the truth.  There are at least nineteen of the spider worshippers at this outpost, including the priestess.  They'll probably have their spider servants as well, and fodder."

Hrunting walks over to Eldeth So, how did you get captured? I was escorting a cart of goods and got struck in the back of the head with an arrow.

“Do you think we can organize the prisoners and mount an escape?”

Shuushar responds.

"That is not my place to decide.  My enlightenment forbids me from fighting.  Who knows, this imprisonment might be a path forward somehow for me.  However, I will say this.  It would be foolish to attempt to break out only by force.  There are too many of them, and they are much too well trained."

Stool says nothing, but he looks as frightened as a weird humanoid mushroom child thing can.

“I too think that using brute force alone would be a futile attempt to get past that many guards. I am not asking you to fight, but to share your enlightenment. Do you know any secrets of the facility or if there’s a particular guard shift that would make an escape more ideal? If they plan to move us, perhaps that could expose a vulnerability.” Kerook respects the enlightened nature of Shuushar, and hopes to glean as much insight as the kuo-toa is willing to impart on the young Aarakocra. 

The pale halfling stops her low, droning chant.  There was no magic to it, not that could be measured, but such meditations always helped her to work past pain and exhaustion.  She opens her eyes and looks again at the others, now gathering in pairs and speaking amongst themselves.

She sighs as she watches them.  Perhaps this time, when those weasel pellets come in, I won't be alone to fight them.  We shall see.

“You there, Drow-Man! Are you native to this place?” Mialee says to Sarith. 

Sarith looks up at Mialee.

"Aye, I am.  I was part of the garrison here."

Ront stands up slowly, and looms over Qiao.

"Aye, they are.  Just like you, stupid man.  Give me one good reason why I shouldn't shove your head through the floor."

Kisii sat a bot straighter, then, remembering the stone shard she was hiding under her crossed legs, she hunched back down again.  But her attention was now riveted to the orc and the man.  This promised to be interesting, and an altercation in the cell would undoubtedly bring the guards...

“He’s got a point,” Mialee says to the orc. She starts discreetly filing down one edge on the coin on the stone wall.

Ront growls low in his throat.

"If we fight, one skilled fighter beats a weak pansy of a human into the ground.  I see no loss in that."

Mialee, I'm assuming you're trying to make a dagger of some sort?
