Aka, your first attack lands true. The shadow let's out a howl as you stick it through it's core. You watch as the shadows fold in on itself and out of existence. It is dead. (Total: 17)
Bala, that's 1 success, 1 failure.
Krolbrik, from what you can recall about undead, creatures like these are generally unaffected by silver.
So... Adira watches as everyone attacks the shadows... and nobody moves to help Bala. The Tabaxi might have gotten them into this mess and she's out of magic, but she can't just stand there and let him die without trying to help. She'll let out a string of colorful curses as she hurries over to where he's collapsed on the floor. She'll bite her lip and offer up a little prayer.
"Come on Lady of Luck, give me a hand here."
( I realllly wish bards could inspire themselves but they can't )

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Seeing the final shadow lash out at the touched druidess, Krolbrik brings his longsword back out and, with both hands, seeks to again cleave this unclean spirit in twain.
Aka, you run up through Krolbrik and Ericina and leap towards the shadow, plunging your dagger deep into its core. The shadow falls on its back, with you above it and collides with the ground, dissipating as it does, into mist. The fight is over, several of you are battered and bruised but you are all still very much alive.
Freaking Bala! You almost killed us! Half of us aren’t in any condition for another fight! All because you were greedy! Aka continues to cuss multiple times in Draconic before turning. Someone who knows more than me about magic come down here. There is a lot of magic stuff. Maybe. He proceeds down to the room with the Portcullis (I think that’s how you spell it. Otherwise, it’s the room with the one eye that I took.)
(Also going to take this time to update the map, the room with stars is where the fight took place. The large star represents the statue and the smaller one the orb which is now in Bala's possession.)
Ericicna will move over in her bear form to drag the unconscious tabaxi along with her mouth, making sure not to bite down as she does so. She will let out a roar to let the other know she is ready to move on.
Sheathing his sword and taking a moment to calm himself, Krolbrik would plod over towards the unconscious Bala and placed his hand upon him, using the last of his ability to invoke the Laying on of Hands.
As soon as Bala would come to consciousness, however, he'd see Krolbrik's peering yellow eyes looming over him.
"Let me be very clear on this, sneak-thief; part of me was fighting the very strong temptation to leave you slumped in the dirt and the dust," Krolbrik would rumble as he loomed uncomfortably close to Bala. "I will not mince words; your sticky fingers very nearly managed to get yourself and the others killed. I have tolerated your actions, but I will not allow you to get us killed. The next time your stupidity triggers a danger, I will personally manacle you and haul you around like a sack of potatoes. Am I clear...?"
Looking up, Krolbrik would look to the others; the heavy breathing that the hobgoblin gave as he stood over Bala made apparent how drained he was.
"We should rest. We're fortunate to be alive, and I think we are all rather drained after that last exchange of blows. Continuing deeper without resting ourselves is folly."
Well, there's a familiar feeling. Bala's eyes snap open, though thankfully he wasn't paralyzed this time. Well, technically he was, granted the hobgoblin twice his size didn't looked to pleased with him. Yet, he still felt traces of that holy magic giving him warmth before it went away. "Aye. Clear. Very clear." He wanted to hold his hands up, but the Tabaxi didn't want to provoke him. Once he mentioned resting -and looked away- Bala relaxed his muscles.
'Guards would've kicked me in the dirt for less, and he still healed me? Paladins are a forgiving lot, aren't they?' He thought. Then he noticed the bear. "Oh gods..."
Adira sighs and rubs her temples as Aka runs off down the stairs by himself.
"Krolbrik is right. It's foolish to continue without a brief rest." With that Adira will fold her shaking legs and sit against the wall. She hugs her knees to her chest, "Ugh I feel terrible."

Aka, the chanting doesn't seem to emanate from the mummy, but rather from beyond the portcullis at the end of the southern-most hall.
Aka moves to that portcullis and then frowns at the idea no one’s coming. He tries to find out where around that Portcullis the changing is coming from.
Krolbrik's arcana check with advantage:

Haven’t used this account in forever. Still a big fan of crawling claws.

(Am I conscious yet?)
(Probably not. Aka’s just yelling at you while you can’t hear.)

(Afraid not. Bala won't be conscious for another 1 hours unless somebody heals him.)

Aka, you head back downstairs to the reliquary.
