Ericina stretches as she wakes up, picking up her sword and shield once they are preparing to continue onward. "I hate sleeping indoors... I would much rather have my tent or a nice tree trunk..."
"Let us be finished with this foul place," Krolbrik rumbled. "In that way, we can assure whatever foul thing that sleeps under the stone here never rises from it."
Aka, Krolbrik, Ericina the three of you return to the reliquary in the bottom of the dungeon. In front of you, a formidable iron portculis blocks your path into the flooded room.
Aka, an earlier investigation had already revealed the mechanism for raising the portcullis. Unfortunately it lies just beyond the iron gate, out of reach of anyone on this side.
"Alright I can try but I can only do that a couple of times. Much as I like being a besr it is rather tiring." Ericina warns since shendidn't want to waste a transformation if it could be helped.

"I could attempt to force the gate open, myself," Krolbrik offered to his companions. "Though... way may want to keep an eye out; we've certainly attracted much attention in fighting the undead down here."
Perhaps it wasn't a bad idea; the massive, orange-hued Hobgoblin stood at nearly seven footspans tall, and his muscular frame was only further reinforced in chain mail.
He would wait for the party to reach a consensus, but for now... he'd keep an eye and ear out as best he could.
"Here's what's gonna happen; Holy man is gonna hold this thing up high enough and long enough for me and...don't think I got your name, " he pats the kobolds shoulder. "Anyways, we're gonna slip under to get the switch working, and the ladies can keep watch. How's that sound?"

Krolbrik wades down into the water and began searching for purchase upon the portcullis grid, eventually finding it along the bottom bar. He would kneel down, bend his knees, and then PUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUSH up with a grunt, trying to keep any noise to a minimum as best one could hauling a heavy steel portcullis into the ceiling!
(This is either going to be a feat of strength or a feat of comedy... Athletics: 13 )
(Also, Trans, did Krolbrik pick up on anything with that perception roll?)
Krolbrik, you tug at the gate but it doesn't budge an inch. Except for the ghostly chants of "He is ancient, he is the land..." the hall around appears quiet.

Ericina will grumble but slowly wild shape back into "Bearicina", moving to attempt to throw and or rip the gate open with her now immensely increased strength.

Adira will follow, eyeing the portcullis. "I... don't think I'm strong enough to lift that."

"Shouldn't there be a switch somewhere? These things move don't they?" Bala will search abut the area for any kind of mechanism for the portcullis.

Maybe.... Aka looks around too, hoping to be better at seeing things than his cat friend is.

( I'm readying to help someone with a bit more muscle lift the gate up )

(That'd probably be Krolbrik. :) )
Alright, whenever you're ready anybody can make an Athletics check with advantage to lift the portcullis.

(She was worried about chipping a claw...)
This time, Krolbrik would help "Bearicina", if he can.
(I'm on mobile so I can't check, but make the roll with advantage of you haven't already)
