Balian sees the lead spirit wildly hack away at Brix, apparently wearing itself down in the process. Can spirits even expend stamina...? Not wanting to go down that rabbit hole of thought, he shouts at Brix as he launches an arrow at the spirit. "Better hurry up before I kill this one too!"
Attack (ad): 15
Damage (sneak): 31
If Brix has killed the leader, then I'll just run to I7 and launch an arrow at S4
Attack: 17
Damage: 10
*Edit - I should have gone before Brix anyway, so this spoiler may be moot.
The half-elf then slinks to the other side of the room to get a better view of the minions huddled in the corner (I7).
Balian's arrow whizzes past the lead spirit's head, but somehow manages to hit Shale's spiritual spear instead, clattering to the ground.
With the lead spirit slowed slightly, Jarl is able to land a solid claw swipe, and you can see small holes appear throughout the spirit's image (25 damage).
Squiggles's attempt to wake up S3 unfortunately fails, the fire bolt smashing into the wall behind it.
Brix lands two solid hits on the lead spirit, swiss cheesing it even further (12 damage total).
With the spirit on its last unnecessary floating legs, Shale's spear thrusts right through its middle (13 damage), causing its unholy holey spectral form to disintegrate into nothing.
With their leader vanquished, the three remaining spirit minions seem to lose the will to continue cowering, and vanish into nothing letting out a curdling wail in three part harmony.
"Maybe next time...WE CAN WAIT FOR THE GNOME TO FINISH HIS MAGIC!"
Brix takes a deep breath, relinquishing his rage. He then glances at the minor wound inflicted by the lead spirit., looking irritated. "At least it wasn't ME this time."
"Nevertheless, nobody died, and the door is open!", Balian says cheerfully, gesturing towards the unlocked door.
"Besides, we are here to put down the undead. If they ever decided to continue extending the undercoft, I doubt Mr Overseer and his loyal band of miners would appreciate being accosted by sword wielding ghosts and suits of armour."
"Well they should be happy they are no longer capable of killing anyone." Shale looks around to the group anyone in need of some wounds looked at?"
(Squiggles still got the 8hp on Shale's last round... also for the Heros Feast make sure you didn't just give yourself temp hp, but increases you hp max since we can heal back up to that new max.)
Brix scoffs at Balian, walking around the rogue as if to examine him. He then quickly walks around the others, also examining them. "Nobody died?! That's rich coming from the one that not only caused this mess, but also from the ONLY ONE OF US THAT WASN'T HIT!"
Brix looks again at his wound, then up at Shale. "A minor scratch. Nothing I expect any one of us to cry about."
Brix then waddles over to one of the fallen suits of armor...and kicks it. "Still bloody worthless."
He sits down, putting his back against the rightmost wall as he waits for Squiggles to finish his ritual.
"I was damaged emotionally", Balian sniffs haughtily. "Knowing that you were protecting me Brix, I couldn't bear the sight of those scratches to your arm. Tell me, do you need a small bandage, or an extra small bandage?"
As you complete your ritual (your companions being careful not to touch anything this time), you find that the undercroft is still brimming with magic, despite the trap on the lock having been sprung. Three of the four sarcophagi have auras about them: you see auras of transmutation magic coming from both sarcophagi on the lefthand wall. The back right sarcophagus has an aura of illusion magic coming from it.
Squiggles shows his trademark frown. "That is disconcerting. It's surrounded by illusion magic, but it appears to be, well, what it appears to be. Shale, are you or Brix strong enough to push the lid off this one?"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Shales gives nod to the drow and walks over. He places a hand over his wounds and says a quick prayer and a wave of healing flows from his staff into the drow. He repeats the process for Squiggles. "I'm sure the two of us could manage... but I'm not into robbing graves. Especially since the owners have already shown their displeasure of us being here."
Cure Wounds, 1 charge for Squiggles: 11 (in addition to the 8 granted earlier)

Jarl foregoes the use of his spores this round, and leads with another use of Primal Savagery. Attack: 22 Damage: 25 acid.
He draws his quarterstaff and casts Shillelagh on it again as a bonus action, in case it tries to run (if it’s still up).

A wise plan! Squiggles starts his ritual again

(Do we want to just take a short rest and roll some hit dice?)

Squiggles walks over to the back right side sarcophagi and attempts to touch the lid.
"Appearances can be deceiving, but you can't fool an illusionist. The other sarcophagi have been transmuted but this one I believe is an illusion"
You feel cold hard stone.

Squiggles shows his trademark frown. "That is disconcerting. It's surrounded by illusion magic, but it appears to be, well, what it appears to be. Shale, are you or Brix strong enough to push the lid off this one?"
Squiggles investigates it a bit more:
Arcana: 20
Investigation: 29
Shales gives nod to the drow and walks over. He places a hand over his wounds and says a quick prayer and a wave of healing flows from his staff into the drow. He repeats the process for Squiggles. Cure Wounds, 1 charge for Jarl: 8
"Don't think if it as robbing graves, so much as unearthing knowledge and arcana! Why are these all teeming with magic?
Besides, the owners were clearly unpleasant. They didn't even ask us to leave nicely."
Squiggles continues to push and prod all over the sarcophagi
