Thazar-De roughly translates; "They were gathered here as an ambush, to capture you and take you to the temple for sacrifice. They were led by Li-trix; which is also the word for Armor. Evidently he was the one holding the troll's chain."
Thazar-De looks at Arldane; "He refuses to talk about the temple."
Hank kills the prisoner with a thrust to his throat. “Kill the rest, best not to be separated from the main group. Plus, there’s our guide so we don’t need these creatures any longer.” He walks over to Sikhil, “We thought you dead, where were you?”
Perrin retorts, "They're all beaten to a pulp - is execution really necessary at this point? I doubt they'd come after us, again, and they'll likely think twice before trying to ambush anyone."
Perrin tries to remember the battle and figure out if he saw their guide runoff or simply downed during the skirmish.
The wagons have already made good time it seems; and are just barely in sight. Sikhil speaks up; "Grab whatever trophies you need and lets hurry. Don't want to get caught alone in this land; and there will be plenty more lizardfolk to kill before the day is done." A strange smile goes across the guide's face. Not happiness, or pleasure; more like pride.
"Thought you got the briefing. Yeah, it's a lizardfolk temple; they're the ones capturing and sacrificing people, we won't be able to stop them and get their treasure without killing them off." Sikhil replies.
"I think I might have missed that part too... So in essence we are raiding a sacred place of lizardfolk worship in order to make ourselves richer? I'm not really much into religion, so I'm fine with that. Though I presume we can expect some steady resistance when they understand what we are doing."
Arldane hurries along, trying to keep his feet as dry as possible and help the others make good time with shape water again on the worst areas of swamp.
While Hank is catching up to the main group he justifies his decision. “Aye, would you be so nice to them if say your mother was the one kidnapped and sacrificed? I can tell you that all their victims have friends and family that mourn them. I would not be able to look at myself if one that we let go kidnapped and sacrificed another victim because we gave them the mercy they have no desire to show others. They are heartless beasts that need to be put down.”
Perrin eyes the man, "Shut up, Hank. Stop trying to shame me or guilt me. I'm here to do the job. If I don't relish it as much as some, that's my own prerogative."
Perrin continues forward to catch up with the caravan.
“If there is one thing I know good priest,” says Hank as Perrin passes him, “is that guilt and shame come from within. Neither of which was I trying to pin onto you. My words were more meant to make me feel better about the task. I do not enjoy this as much as you think. No offense intended. I for one, am glad that you are with us. No need to make enemies out of friends.”
Volkher moves anyone unconscious she will use spare the dying on stabilizing them
Hank will keep watch for any more surprises. Perception: 24
(Volkher, the only remaining unconscious creatures are the lizardfolk; are they your targets?)
(No)

Hank, you see movement in the distant woods. After a few moments; you realize that its Sikhil Datharathi, the guide, coming back to the clearing.

(Perrin, you saw the guide rushing into the woods after several lizardfolk; before he was lost in the brush and trees.)
"Sikhil," Perrin calls, "what possessed you to chase after those lizardfolk?"

Sikhil looks at Perrin and answers; "Because were killing them." As he says this, the remaining prisoners are executed by several of the group.
“Time to catch up with the main group, let’s go” says Hank as he starts walking Sikhil and Perrin towards the main group.
((Do I believe Sikhil is being truthful about his whereabouts?)) Insight: 5
(Sounds legit to Hank)

"Why do you enjoy killing them?" asks Perrin of Sikhil. "Do they have anything to do with the ruins we're heading for?"
