Better that than we sit about for hours trying to get the journey started.
Fine job on the rudder, me boyo. We'll make a sailor out of you yet. Haha
True lol
Asher chuckles. "Well Scups, I might just take you up on that offer. Speaking of which, where is your crew now? Are they sailing without you, or did the crew disband?"
Dekhan smiles to himself, feeling proud that Asher finally got his name right. He takes a deep breath savoring the wonder of nature that surrounds his new companions and him. He slaps his thighs and exclaims it’s a good day to be alive, my friends! We will succeed in our venture! I can feel it in my very marrow!

Yes! Scupper tell us a tale of your adventures on the high seas. Surely that will make the time pass more pleasantly!
The wagon moves down the narrow trail, through the hills, towards the mountains and Phandalin. Sildar begins the journey walking behind the wagon, but after a short while he clambers up and rests among the goods; he seems to doze for an hour or two, but the shaking of the wagon on the uneven ground eventually wakes him and he sits up, listening to the conversation going on around him. He frowns at Dekhan and Incantis for a while, and eventually speaks his mind: Sirs, I am curious to know how you came to be travelling with these folks. And also, he directs this to the others, what happened to the elven lady who was to travel with you all?
"Druid follow lying star. Had wander. Left berries though. Found guy fight with goblins. Him rescue you maybe cept we had rescue him. Goblins had baldie. Might mean him bad, maybe we should kill. But goblins had Sildar too. Think maybe Sildar think too much. Bad for health. Hush." He gestures at the sky. "Contemplate. Answers come."
Strix unconciously licks his lips thinking about the goodberries. Right now he's settle for mehberries, as long as there was that sweet tangy pop and his headache would stop.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Sildar frowns at Strix; ah yes, Gundren spoke of you. Such... odd alliances he has. I was hesitant, but... well, not my decision. He turns to face forward as Asher speaks: Insight: 11. He scowls. A poor jest, boy.
Boy. Black with white eyes. Master. Asher pulls the reins back, abruptly stopping the cart. He stands, turns around toward Sildar, and unclips his glaive holding the sharp edge as close to Sildar's chest as possible. "What did you call me?"
I could roll intimidation, but I'm not even really "trying" to do anything per se. So I won't, unless you decide I should.
The horses and wagon slowly come to a halt without Asher's guidance, and the atmosphere is suddenly very cold. I called you 'boy'. I have three sons older than you, and if one ever said what you just did, even as a joke, I would put him over my knee and spank him. Sildar regards the glaive calmly. Are you intending to use that?
Varinth bridles with the sudden tension. Part of him wants it all to burn. Nobody would fight if they were all ash.. Gods! That was dark.
So, an Elf, a Dwarf and a conscript to the Ogre Lord of Chaos walk into an Inn, tell me if you've heard this before.. haha? Come on guys, put your chest puffing back in your purses. We won! We're all here. We're so close to town. Let's drink to... what shall our name be. Something easy to rhyme..
He holds aloft his wineskin To The Scowl Happy Gatherers!
On hearing the cart stop Strix returns, taking his hatchet from his belt.
Sildar pick fight with injured warrior. Brave. Sons proud? Gundren proud? Strix ask.. oh no! Gobbies have Gundren, can't ask! Musta been many gobbies, beat mighty brave Sildar.
But..... no dead gobbies, only dead horse. And no Gundren, only live Sildar. Strix think maybe Sildar have story to tell. Think Sildar maybe use mouth for good, stop picking fights, fore maybe fight pick him.
Why Sildar not dead? Sildar more polite to Klaarg than Asher?
Not trying to intimidate, just giving him fair warning that he's acting very suspiciously. Suspiciousness is a disease and Hatchet is the cure!

Yer boss chose us. He had his reasons for settling on such a motley band o' misfits, to be sure. Still, ye press your luck, Da. Yer sons didn't save you from gobos and we're too recently from battle to be completely of ease. Best you table your opinions til we settle the business and find clues of your employer.
And just so's we're completely clearsies, you are the last one to see Gundren alive and haven't given us much to go on. So while you're far from a primary suspect, why don't ye refresh our memories of what happened and with whom? You ever hear of the Black Spider?
Once we've concluded these immediate concerns, I'll be happy to tell of me days on the Sea Witch and my oft required duties carving information from less helpful sources through my particular skills...
Intimidation 17
I have no qualms about using intimidation if only to keep the blade sharp though that roll isn't my best
Sildar, still weak from the torture he endured at Yeemik’s hands, is unable to dodge Asher’s thrust. The glaive pierces his chest, and he looks down at it, and then up at Asher. He seems about to speak, but then he doesn’t. His body slowly slumps back into the wagon, and is still.
"Since when does Sildar talk down to us?" Asher asks the group as he grips Sildar by the collar of his shirt. "He's always referred to us as Masters. Either that's not Sildar, or his mind has been altered. And if I'm wrong? Well, no one calls me boy."
Seeing what just happened Varinth slowly lowers his wineskin. Absently he makes a small clicking noise indicating for Soodi to continue.
Taking a long drink, Varinth will let Soodi slowly plod her way to Phandalin. His plan is oblivion. What happens after that is up to the gods he doesn't believe are there.
Uh.... There's no Forensic Cleric subclass is there?
Strix searches the body - both a general frisking for goodies and looking for tattoos or scars or a spider shaped mole - something that's suggests that there may have been more going on here than a tragic dick-measuring-contest-gone-awry. He cautions "Mebbe not take these ears?" to Asher. He takes a look at the wound to see if it looks like any he's seen recently caused by goblin scimitars (i.e. can they pass it off as one). It's only then he thinks to look around at the rest of the party to gauge the mood.

Strix glares at their new guest.
"Not Sildar decision then. Not Sildar decision now."
He makes a show of giving Incantis a friendly tap on his bonce and returns to the head of the caravan.
