Incantis turns to the owl man with a rare smile. "A trap I'd ordinarily be happy to spring, but is an 'eye monster' the sort of thing that's vulnerable to those sort of tricks?"

"Well, if the creature has one eye, I say we have the advantage. Of course, the opposite is true. If it has many eyes, then there is a higher chance they will catch us before we can spring our trap." Zoria taps her chin in thought. "Did the prisoner say anything about what creature this was? Maybe we should try asking him again."
"Nothing but that it lives in the dark, has one eye, and speaks with its mind. We should be able to overwhelm it, might we be able to blind it with light?"

"Well what are we waiting for?" Zoria says with excitement. "Let's do this thing and take it out! With one eye and our plan, this should be chump change."
Can someone please write out the plan as you see it working? I'm keen to make sure that everyone is on the same page. If you're splitting up, let me know who's going south and who's going north, and give me a marching order.
Scupper, you can peer through the now open door; it leads into a storeroom with empty barrels, a few crowbars and straw that is probably used for packing. You can just see round the corner to a larger space, possibly the crevasse that Omyn spoke of; it's big, dark and empty.
"Right but ifn that path goes to the other door, where the feck goes to Glasstaff and the bugbears... I mean, isn't there a place this has to branch off to the leader's room? Amd depending on how close, a fight with a monster might bring it aid."
Well, for the sake of not overcomplicating things, we could all just move together and make stealth checks. That may just be easier....... Because if we do split and run into trouble, half of the group may need help and we wouldn't know it, or be too late to get to them. Might be best to stick together.
Apparently they both do though, unless I'm misinterpreting what the captive has told us. Hence why I was suggesting a pincer move but if we want to keep things simple and safe we could just go in one way and out the other to search both & save time. Does anyone have any light spells? I figure most of us have darkvision but it might be useful against an eye monster who lives in darkness.

I know Dekhan does, Zoria has no light spell. Zoria also does not have darkvision
Strix has a flint and tinder. To a sufficiently primitive opponent, that would appear to be magic. Behold! My sparks! Also, we have Vaz, who is a human(ish) tinderbox.
"I have Dekhans light spell on a coin so i can see...the Hin have no darkvision. However, I'm still a fan of a light spell javelin stuck in an eyeball monster. Sounds like a great story to tell someday. Haha. If you cover most of it, we can use the tip of that to get me there without too much of a show...then once it's in the target I'll be fine."
Alrighty, big fellas at the front and cotton flowers at the the back. Mister Scupper and I are going round to the other door. When we hear the commotion we'll enter at their backs. Let's skewer ourselves an eyeball!Varinth runs to the other secret door.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Scupper runs after Varinth.
"Slow down you drunk bastard! Enjoy the swagger of what might be yer last few minutes in life. We'll be running and jumpin' soon enough...I'll make a pirate outta you yet, lad!"
Once they're through the other secret door, Scupper will go stealthy and keep far enough from Vaz so as not to spoil each other's chances. Stealth 12
"I'm very much for this plan."

So are we skipping the secret door in the poolroom and going through one of the secret doors here?
I vote for whichever secret door we believe to lead to the eye monster.
