The half-elf stays off after making his introduction while the orcs busy themselves with dinner. To his nearest allies, telepathically: "That went well, I think. We should keep our eyes alight amongst these greenskins..." his voice twists and warps with discordant contempt at his last couple words.

Aye...let them eat they're stew and then let's march. Use that strength while we can. They're raiders, so they're used to going after tings o' value but it looks like the best motivation is jest gonna be yer word.
Strix and I can scout once we're on the move and I've no doubt he knows everyting what been said. Not too far off and ready when we are...
The half elf is mine! Any of you that touch him will suffer a fate far worse than the axe biter! Eat your full and then we march. We will crush the undead and loot what they protect. If you prove yourselves in the coming battle you will be rewarded. We leave in 1 hour. Dekhan will take a short rest while the orcs finish eating.
The orcs chorus Yes Chief and seem enthusiastic about the order to march. They finish up their meal and pack away their camp. Dekhan, Oggor comes over to you. Raiding party is out now, Chief. Bokkar and his boys. Should be back tomorrow; I'll leave a trail sign.
He looks a little embarrassed for a moment. You, um, got anything you want us to do, Chief? Or not do?
Me and five orcs here, and Gog. Bokkar and three more in the raiding party. Strongest fighters are me, Kosst, and Morg. And Gog, of course. He looks at you curiously. We are Many Arrows Tribe. You join Many Arrows, or we join your tribe?
Varinth winces slightly at the mention of the raiding party but hides it with a nod of his head. He'll take the opportunity to find a hedge and put his clothes back on the right way. He will then give two sharp whistles and feed Soodi an onion if she shows.
If she does show, Vaz will grab one of her many horse blankets and take it over to Gog and offer it to keep the chill off. Dammit Vaz, ye soft welp. Varinth almost giggles noting that the voice in his head that admonished him was Mister Scuppers. He scrambles onto Soodi and pommels Sir Ulricks "Flag".
Seeing things have ended amicably, Strix phases out of the shadows and signals his approval to Dekhan.
To the orcs, in orcish, he adds "welcome to the Torn Ligaments, little sprainlings. I am Strix, scout and sartorial trendsetter. As you may have not noticed, I have been resting outside your cave for an hour. Any of you mouth breathers move quieter than you chew? We're down a ranger, could use another pair of eyes on point.
Strix, there's some wolf, some deer and some rat meat in the pot. Very little goblin. Really, hardly any goblin at all.
Morg shrugs at you. Dog. Other stuff. Not good hunting here. Ready to move out.Orc can move quiet, follow tracks, hunt. This is 'ranger', yes?
Varinth, Soodi is around but is keeping well clear of the orcs and their cooking pot. You do manage to find a blanket, but Gog shows no interest in it and is getting ready to march with the others.
You all complete a short rest if you wish to. It is now dark. You can journey on for a few hours, but without a long rest, you risk suffering exhaustion before you reach Old Owl Well.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Stars alight, companions. I don't like the thought of facing creatures from beyond death's veil in the dark of night. Oh I can see alright," he nods to Scupper, "but it doesn't sound opportune...I'd rather not test our fate. I'll take first watch with Vaz, I'm none too tired." Incantis settles himself by a nearby tree, watching the sky. His Elder Star traces its journey ever so slowly through the heavens. Ever so often he glances back from the heavens down his crooked nose at the orcs that remain awake. His eyes sparkle violet.

Incantis, some of the orcs look over at you with wide eyes, and turn and mutter to each other in orcish.

What are our assets? How many orcs in the raiding party? Who are the strongest fighters?

Your orders Sir?

Scupper stands there mouth agape staring at Strix's newfound grasp of the common tongue...
"Strix...you eh...been working yer grammar a bit on the sly?"

Perhaps we should sleep here for the night? No use getting there if we’re too tired to clear the undead.
Dekhan, who are you speaking to?
The party members in the immediate area, not the orcs.
(In common) "Scup speek Orc? Not 'ware. Like orc. Roll off tongue.
(In orc) "like a villagers head rolls off his shoulders while you **** his dog and eat his wife, am I right guys?"

I could do wif a kip. Vaz takes a slug of wine. But perhaps we do watch in pairs? He subtly gestures with his head at the orcs.
OOC: evidently Scupper didn't here the linguistic orc / strix convo...scratch that bit 😐
Okay, if you're resting, please give me a watch order and perception checks. Unless you trust the orcs to keep watch.
Dekhan will also need to do something about the orcs who are preparing to head out in an hour.

Sorry Lads, been a long day. Mind if the Many Arrows Tribe heads out at first light? Vaz addresses the orcs.
