There's a pause as Harun Kost appears to be waiting for you to do or say something in response to what he has just said.
(The zombies don't appear to notice the slightly uncomfortable turn to the social atmosphere around the well, or perhaps they're just very good at concealing it.)
Varinth inhales a dandylion that was growing out of the crumbling wall. He gets to his knees coughing and spluttering. One last hack produces a sudden gout of flame that presumedly eradicated any last remnants of meadow flower. He then leans over the wall and catches his breath as he takes in the scene around him. He points.
Zoria looks to the red wizard, "Can you just excuse us one second? We are the Spicy Five, I'm sure you've heard of us, we're a big deal, I'm Zoria the Great One Eyed Eater of Worlds, I can sign autographs for a 25gp charge, discounted from 50gp for such a handsome bald fellow like you. But uh, as we are the Spicy Five, we, as a collective, need to discuss what our next means of action will be. You know how it is, all for one and one for all, the whole shabang, so uh, yeah, one sec!" Zoria attempts to usher the group away from the wizard, but still within sight of him, obviously not Scupper if he's still hiding (hence the Spicy Five and not Spicy Six).
If everyone comes over to Zoria she whispers, "So yeah, I'm not sure how much of the red wizards of thay that you guys know about, but traditionally, they are not good guys and they enslave people! So given that the Glasstaff was also an enslaver of the innocent, there's a good probability that they may be in, you know, cahoots or something. Now, I don't know if we can get out of this situation peacefully, but if we have to fight, we have to take him out first, the red wizards are powerful. So I can turn the undead, make them retreat, in other words, to offer us some solace against the undead whilst we destroy their master. Maybe if we take him out, then the undead will go with him? This is all of course, if you guys don't want to help this guy and he tries to eliminate us, of course. So what do you all say?" Immediately after finishing her statement, she perks her head up, looks at the red wizard, smiles awkwardly and waves before ducking her head back down to the covenant.
Zoria, as you move, the Red Wizard also moves, back into the ruined tower. He raises his hand, and the zombies form up a line in front of him, between him and the party. He keeps the affable expression on his face, and the zombies take no aggressive action, but they are definitely less inert than they were.
(OOC: Let me know if I have you in the wrong position on the map)
Scupper continues to put some distance down and make his way back to a ranged placement but careful to avoid eyeline with Red Wizard...or his zombies. I'm thinking moving through the holes in the wall at G10 then D12 and then the bushes near Vaz
Zoria, as you attempt to usher the group away, Harun raises his hand and the zombies shudder, and he begins to cast a spell. It's up to you whether you interpret that as hostile and resume attacking, but we will go back into initiative order:
Group A: Incantis Group B: Oggor, Morg and Fekar Group C: Zoria Group D: Zombies Group E: More zombies Group F: Dekhan Group G: Harun Kost Group H: Scupper, Strix and Vaz Group I: Kosst, Jukk and Vroh Group J: Even more zombies
Group A is up: Incantis is at J9 (I will update the map later).
(Now might be a good time to ask how tall the wall I'm perched on is, how wide the top of it is, and how tall the walls of the ruin of the tower are so we can judge what's cover and what's not, and whether I can just sit this out while the zombies flail below my feet, or if Strix will be forced to run along the wall and do some monkey flips. Also, if we're going back to our old rolls from earlier, can I go back to my awesome spear throw roll :D ? )
The walls are around five feet high and provide full cover. They're not tall enough for Strix just to sit out the battle, though - flailing zombie arms may reach him. The walls are fairly wide, and Strix wouldn't need an acrobatics check to jump the small gaps in the walls, for example, though a longer jump might require one. No, the previous attack roll doesn't carry over, I'm afraid. The tower itself goes up to a second storey, so the walls are fairly high.
P if this pops off, Dekhan is gonna do his damndest to toss a zombie of two down this well.
While I love this idea, we don't know what citizens drink from this well, and frankly that would make it undrinkable to any nearby inhabitants lol of course, if we haven't seen any villages in a while, then you should be all good!
Ooc : well Strix is carrying a lit torch and is above them so could drop it on them as a free action but he's too far down the init order for that to be viable. But if anyone further up wants to grab it feel free
OOC: I was thinking of dawdling over to D7 and letting loose a Aganazzar’s Scorcher but I don't think they'll helpfully stand in a line forever. Plus Vaz is pretty drunk and may just laser cut the tower in half (which could also be interesting)

So if they aren't attacking in any way, I will continue as described in the above post.

I had approached to talk...
Incantis, half-elf warlock (great old one) 4/bard 1 ● Thorok Earthhand, hill dwarf mountain druid 6/grave cleric 2
Cragmyre Ironseed, earth genasi ancestral barbarian 3 ● Cyrus Natriallae, aquatic half-elf warlock of the deep 3

Dekhan had moved to J8 when the battle paused.

OOC...if this pops off...there's a line of zombies to fire up and then control flame to the next one?

So at this point I am guessing we're waiting for someone to make a call on this. He is prepping but still not attacking. We could likely
Say "no thanks" walk away
Accept his quest and walk away
Attack without warning
Demand answers - likely get none (see other options)
