Recommend the injured rest asap - (2nd) worst case scenario we're interrupted and they get to spend a hit die on a short rest. Strix is uninjured I think so happy to go first.
At the beginning of their watch, Dekhan will approach Asher and clap him on the shoulder with an air of good natured comraderie.
Asher, where did you learn to swing that glaive like that? Beset as I was I couldn’t but marvel at the way you tore through those goblins. There was a type of beauty to it, a savage grace. You are truly a great warrior, and I am well pleased we are questing together. I’m sure we will soon be boon companions.

Asher brushes his hand of of his shoulder, "Look Dickin, I hardly like any of the people I'm already with, besides Scups, so don't presume to be my friend right of the bat. And secondly, I taught myself how to wield a glaive by emulating my father." Asher takes a few steps away from Dekhan and sits on the opposite end of camp for his watch.
I, the player, hate having to be a rude character lol it just hurts my soul, but from a roleplaying aspect, Asher hasn't been in the best mood as of late.
"must be. Evil not sleep. He sleep. A-ok."Strix remarks before curling up. He sometimes envies the elves - such strength of mind and body to rejuvenate so quickly each night! - but pities them too, for without the weaknesses of the flesh to overcome, how does one mark the steps along the road to enlightenment?
Vaz and Scupper are right of course, the goblins will likely steal up to them while they sleep and slit their throats with nary a sound. Well, best get move on cleansing, Strix, he thinks, dont want spirit tied to material plane by unresolved regret after throat gets slit.
Like the regret that he forgot to give Scupper some arrows. Ah, the Halfling knows Strix has no bow, he'll take them if he needs them. That's better. Release! He begins chanting his Resolve and rotating his consciousness into the nidra asana, emptying it of emotion and allowing both inner and outer healing to begin.

Your caution is quite prudent, I don’t fault you in the least! But I vow that one day you will call me friend... Asser
Dekhan laughs at his own joke.
I know what you mean! I still haven’t been able to play an evil character.
Apparently you caught us on a bit of bad day. You sure the light is on your sidesies. And Vaz? He'll be fine...until he wakes up and realizes he's drank all the wine there is. Maybe the Gobos have some devil of a thing fermenting somewhere's in yon cave that he'll be able to quaff when he's through spouting fire on the morrow. I imagine making fire out of nothin' but air is mighty thirsty work. So Dekhan, you all about the green and natural then eh? I'm more of an ocean going fella me'self. Though in fairness the other lads didn't agree with that. But even rough seas is better to my mind that my land lubbin' days these last few months. Well...what I remember of it anyway. We sir are a rabble, if I may be so bold. A sore bunch of misfits with narry a goal in common save maybe getting our cart to Phandelver and getting paid...which now means rescuin' our daft employer who sought to ride in advance of all the mercenaries he's hired and get his'self a captured by greenskins. How's your day been?
Scupper is no more dour than usual and perfectly happy with another sword in the group. Healer evidently as well. That'll come in handy.
So ahhh, you like a knight errant or more the ahhh, cleric of sorts...not sure what 'the light' is but as gods go...would you say they's pretty active in the affairs of us wee mortals? Plenty of that there healing magic to go round when Armageddon is nigh? I figure we got more'n 15 more o' those gobos to swing through and a bigger thing what leads 'em. Jata who'm we killed with wine earlier spoke of a the usual bully what leads a pack of gobos. What was it...ah a bugbear named Crag or Klarg or Keg for all that matters. He'll probably slay us and so his name doesn't matter as much as his swing eh?
I’m happy to hear he’ll he alright, I like a drink myself... I’ll probably wait till we’re back in town, though.
Dekhan laughs but grows more earnest, his words full of surety and a kind of joy.
As for the Light, it’s not on anyone’s side, it IS the side. When we do good, whether we know it or not, whether we mean to or not, we serve the Light. It’s not a god, or any specific god, I should say. It’s the sum of what’s good and beautiful in this world. The beauty of a father singing to his children, or a mother protecting her family of course. But also the perfect grace with which a panther brings down a deer or the awful fury of the storm that brings the rain. And yes, I first felt my calling in the green embrace of the forest, but the seas too are the Light’s domain. From the salt spray of the ocean’s surface to the life that teems beneath it’s waves. It’s sometimes serene, sometimes terrible, but always a thing of beauty. As for what the morrow brings, I’ll bring my sword and healing both to bear, and we will meet it together. And what could we together not accomplish? Let Klag or Grag or whatever he is called cower in his cave, we will put an end to him and rescue our employer, it can be no other way!
Well you've confidence in your way I'll give you that. But the odds are that we all don't make it out of that cave and I guess we'll see about your way then. Now as I understand it, you're go- your light is just as terrible as it is pretty and dainty and since I'd just as soon leave out all the flowery children and fathers a singing, it sounds like blood and gold can also be in your light so we'll find common ground there lad. Well let's get some kip and we'll face death all bright eyed and bushy tailed eh?
Slot me in to the rota. Vaz can't do second watch as he's unconscious so it will have to be me. It would be metagamey to match up with someone who rolled a good perception roll :(
Dario sits himself around Scupper, Asher, and their new member Dekhan, listening to the soldier explain "Light" to them. He waits for Dekhan to finish and clears his throat. "This light that you speak, it sounds... well my father has always taught me to there are many paths to the mountain top. Let me ask you, this light of yours, does it shine on all things, or those that are just pure? Can an orc, say, feel the light?"
Dario awaits his answer and then afterwards will take the second shift and if need be the third shift with Mistweaver.
First watch passes uneventfully, with Dekhan attempting to engage Asher in conversation from time to time. Dario is awake, but off to the side, checking his armour and weapons for spots that need mending or cleaning.
Second watch, Dario, you do not notice anything unusual, and your watch passes peacefully. At the end, you go to awake Strix and Mistweaver, and then begin your nightly meditation.
Strix, Mistweaver moves as far away from you as she can while still being technically in the camp, and your watch also passes with no incident and no conversation. After two hours are up, you go to wake Vaz and Scupper, only to find that Mistweaver has already done so, and is now sitting quietly near the camp, reading.
Vaz and Scupper, the first hour of your watch is as quiet as the others, but as it comes closer to midnight, in the bright moonlight that pierces the canopy, you both notice movement in the forest some way off.
Vaz, all you see is shadows and possibly an animal moving in the trees.
Scupper, the light is enough for you to make out the forms of three goblins, walking quietly, but not that quietly, through the forest. From their behaviour and where they are headed, you would guess that they have seen your camp but are not approaching. They are about thirty or forty feet away from you now.

Can I get a stealth check from Asher please, if you guys are trying to hide the camp; I want to get an average score for the party.

Varinth, who has passed through drunk and into a strange zen state, follows everyone without comment until they start making camp.
They were probably watching us from the darkness. There is no hiding. Evil does not sleep. he says in a strange monotone.
And with that Varinth (shirtless, wineless and missing a camel) passes out face first against a tree. Snoring loudly.
Looking concernedly at Varinth
Is he alright?
