Also, just an idea, but is there a way to put numbers and letters along the map, that way we can just say Dario moves (K2) closer to the Goblin and then you can look to see that K2 is two squares from the bottom up and two square from the right to the left. Just an idea...
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Not familiar with movement on the map system - assuming we can't move diagonally, and Strix's effective range is 4 squares with the hatchet, he'll take a Dash action and try to act as a mostly-human shield for Asher or Dekhan if they're still on 1hp. Best chance of survival is that they take their swings.
If I have that arseways and I *can* get within 20 ft of a goblin without dashing by moving diagonally, chuck an aul' axe at his head! Preference is the furthest away one (#3), hit 20 dmg 4
Note, that's a ranged attack - I've added +3 Dex to dmg because martial arts says I can with simple weapons, but I don't know if that's legitimate on ranged attacks.
(Also, if running 30ft brings me within melee range because they charge us, bonus unarmed strike 18 dmg 4)
Sensing the commotion and his body being violently shaken, Strix rotates his consciousness back to the fore and stands, readying his hatchet. Should have taken the time to build that bow-launched scimitar fire pit trap at the goblin cave after all. Ah well, live, learn.
Dario takes aim and fires an arrow through the trees; Goblin 3 is glancing this way and that, clearly nervous that the party might awaken before she can make her escape. The arrow strikes when she is looking away, directly through the back of the head, and she falls. Goblin 2, who is following directly behind her, sees this and gives a little squawk of surprise.
Dekhan moves to the west and then south through the trees, drawing a javelin from where it rests on his back, and as he moves, he takes aim at Goblin 2 and releases as he comes to a halt. The javelin sails through the air in a graceful arc and impales the goblin, bring it to the ground, apparently quite dead.
Goblin 2 is dead.
Vaz, you move west, and see that Goblin 1 is still alive and looks ready to run in panic. You raise your hands and shoot a fire bolt at the creature, but it misses, and slams into the tree behind. Luckily it is so weak that it fizzles and disappears before the tree can catch fire.
Scupper, you move a little to the south to get a clearer view of the only remaining enemy, Goblin 1, and then take aim and release. The arrow sinks into Goblin 1's back and it staggers, but does not quite fall, though it looks very seriously wounded.
Mistweaver draws her bow, notches an arrow and releases in a single fluid movement: Attack: 12 Damage: 10 It misses, and she swears under her breath before moving 30 feet south and west to try to keep in range of the goblin, should it flee.
Strix, you move 30 feet towards the goblin and throw your handaxe. It goes wide, and drops with a thud into the grass that covers the forest floor.
Goblin 1 dashes 60 feet directly south, making no sound, and clearly terrified and desperate to get away.
It's now Asher's turn.
The goblin has moved well out of the bounds of the map, but is still reachable for those with ranged attacks. FYI, it is currently 75 feet south of Strix, Dekhan and Scupper, 85 feet south of Vax, Mistweaver and Dario, and 90 feet south of Asher. The moon is bright enough, and the forest canopy sparse enough, that the area is well lit even for those without night vision.
Asher, Dario and Dekhan, feel free to take your shots to see who gets the kill, but if you don't, then Vaz's Fire Bolt will finish the last goblin.
As the last goblin falls, silent settles once again on the forest; it's not long until dawn, but your rest is not yet complete.
Mistweaver makes a brief search of the area: Survival19. I don't see or hear any signs of other goblins. Doubtless they have sent several search parties to investigate the battle on their doorstep, but they must be very spread out at this distance. I doubt any others will find us.
Is it feasible for Strix to take the Dash action towards the goblin, and use his free interaction to pick up his axe on the way? Obviously being careful not to stand on those upturned scimitars from earlier.
Edit - never mind, just pick it up and start dragging the body back to the tree line for searching and hiding. And de-earing.
Strix looks up from the corpse he was dragging to find that it's already been picked clean.
"Too soon. Member why rest in first place." Strix gestures towards Asher. Of course! Asher! He chops the goblins ears off, making to return to camp with a jaunty spring in his stride, then inspiration hits him. Asher will love this.
Adopting an oarsman position, bracing the Goblin's shoulders with his feet and cupping it's chin with one hand, he uses the other to carve a bloody meridian around the top of the scalp, peels the skin flap back and pulls.
In case scalping is a strength check, 14 - should be ok though.
It's more the sewing it into an ear-holding purse that I'm worried about.
I'll continue as if that's a success 'cause eventually he'll pull some scrap of skin off and be happy.
He practically skips back to the camp site, dumping the ears wrapped in tattered scalp scraps at Ashers feet and then back to his patch of ground for sleeping. Looking around the group, Asher has his ears, Scupper seemed pretty happy with his whistling, Mistweaver wants to be left alone - easily done, doing it right now! - so just need to win Varinth over then no one will abandon anyone in the woods. So, resources are trees, grass, goblin blood, pot metal swords. Think! Those Tempus monks would drink water from a latrine trench if it were fermented and oak aged, they must have mentioned something about how to make gin out of Goblin blood. His resolve thus set, he rotates his consciousness back into the nidra asana to see what his subconscious has to say.
We're still on death's door, some of us. Gots to rest that bit however we can. If they keep sending out scouts in the onsies twosies, well that ain't too bad. We just have to be careful in case they choose to send the whole fleet.
Scupper will attempt to finish the last watch and let others sleep.

Does interrupted long rest mean we start over? I'm guessing so but we've got some folks at 1 or 2 hp right?
Scupper will take a shot on his turn
Attack 16 Damage 8
Dario will move into a position that will give him the best chance to hit Goblin 3 with an arrow from his long bow.
Attack: 17
Long Bow Damage: 5

Dekhan will move close enough and throw a javelin at the closest goblin on his turn.
Javelin attack 9 damage 4
If Dekhan can’t get close enough to throw he will dash to get in range instead

I'll make Asher's initiative roll for him; hope you don't mind! :)

Scupper sees the hit isn't enough to stop it and prepares to notch another arrow while whispering loudly at the others
Someone get that wee gobshite a'fore he runs!
Varinth lets the crackling heat from his core once again shoot down his arm and releases it at the fleeing goblin.

Varinth searches each of the dead goblins for liquid (alcoholic or otherwise) and will consume whatever he finds.

Varinth, searching the three goblin corpses, you find 19 copper pieces and two crappy scimitars.
Varinth leaves the scimitars and gives the coppers to Strix for the kitty.
Anyone got water?
Should we bite the bolt and head into the cave?
