"I don't have any experience with this sort of thing. It's a bit outside my wheelhouse, and honestly I'm not comfortable talking with a spirit myself. We need to remember our task here is to get in, find Gerant and Vons, and get out. However, I don't want to walk into a fight with what slew all of these folks... I don't even see a mark on any of them," Basiel says, ending with a hushed question directed at Filli, "Do you think the spirit is from one of these corpses? If so, maybe it can warn us of dangers ahead."
He watches as Erika continues to the exit, and says, "I'm all ears, but I'll stick with Erika for now and listen from a distance. At least until the two of us are at that exit. I don't want to get separated."
Filli nods to Basiel "Yes, I believe he is one of the slain pirates. His spirit lingers in unrest at some unfulfilled purpose in the event of whatever happened here." Watching as Erika continues towards the exit she looks at the spirit again and worry obviously crosses her face as she considers everything. After a moment she turns and then nods again to Basiel having come to a decision in her head "You are right, we must see what else we can find in here before we rush into dealings with any spirit. Let us make sure that the room is secure and if we cannot find an explanation then I can attempt to approach the poor soul. My heart desires to put him to rest regardless, but as you say that is not why we are here."
As shown on the map, there are two exits from this room. One is to the north, a 5 ft. wide passage that goes into the mountain's side. The other is directly across from you, to the west. It is a 10 ft. wide staircase that climbs up, into the heart of the mountain. Your stealth rolls will be high enough to sneak past the ghost, but only if you don't try anything that will blow your cover (yelling, casting bright spells etc.)
((Which exit is Erika sneaking to? I think what we would like to do is follow Erika to whichever exit she chooses. Once there, the group will have to decide to exit together or Filli will converse with the ghost.))
((Again, I'm sorry guys. It looks like my weekends are getting extra busy, but I'll try to post as often as possible)).
The six of you sneak around the ghost, to the northern exit successfully. It doesn't seem to take notice of you, but is lost in its own regret. The corridor ahead of you winds around to the left, and back again to the right, before exiting into another room. The room seems to be a shrine to Argon, but all the valuables and gold that typically accompanies such a shrine are missing. The stone floor is dusted over with sand, and footprints go all over the room. It seems as if whoever was here took a hasty exit.
Erika will take a look around to make sure there’s nothing of interest, and go down the second passage, trying to get away from that ghost unless someone stops her.
As Erika moves off towards the second passage Filli approaches the shrine to Argon, disappointed at the loss of faith and the way the shrine has been stripped bare. She produces a gold coin from her pouch and places it at the foot of the altar. She then retrieves a candle and her tinderbox from her pack and lights a single candle and places it on the shrine.
After putting away her tinderbox she kneels down in front of the shrine and quietly whispers a prayer to Argon while clutching the jewelled symbol of Argon that hangs around her neck.
For anyone who is close enough to hear her whisper:
"Lord of Magic, let your light shine in this place once more. Wash away the darkness and uncertainty and bless us with your knowledge. We came to save the lives of the innocent from pirates but I fear we have stumbled on something far darker. Let me be as your right hand, guide me to where I am needed most and aid my companions as we seek to do what is right. I walk in your light always, let it bring a new dawn for all."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Dara looks around the shrine, concerned about the quick retreat someone seems to have taken beforehand. She tries to discern what might have happened here, and if there is anything that could potentially reveal any threat to the party within the shrine.
Rolls (Not sure which one you want, so here are a few!):

Basiel heads to the entrance of the corridor. He listens for any sound coming from where they are about to go, and waits for the rest of the group to continue onwards.

Erika is going to the north, to the right of the entrance. She’ll sneak to the corridor and peek in to see what is down it.
Benagol follows Erika
Dara also follows.

Benagol overhears Filli praying, he doesn't really believe in religion but a decent blessing, from wherever it comes, is more than welcome
ooc: Sorry if from now I won't post everyday but it seems like the firewall at work shut the page, the losers!

Erika whispers to Filli, “Why are you praying right now? You can do that after we get away from the creepy specter!”
