OOC: just incase you are tracking anything, now that we finished a long rest I have made Talon my Hex weapon and will be using it.
Beetle looks at his companions, "So off to Sister Garalee to hear what she says, if everyone is agreeable, Syna I know you were looking for some weapons we could go by there also on the way."
OOC: Thats ok Beetle. If it's on your character sheet I can keep track of it that way.
If your going shopping - Barthens Provisions can supply you with general adventuring gear (Rope, rations, bedrolls etc), Linene at the Lionshield Coster has a supply of weapons and armour for sale.
If your selling, Halia would have been the place to sell gemstones and the like, but barring her, Barthen and Linene can use their contacts to sell on anything you don't want to carry around any longer.
OOC: Yeah Beetle, there was so much of it you'll need a cart to transport it out of there. You can hire a cart from Barthen or sell him the information.
OOC: Did we get Experience Points for returning Iarno and Morthen's family? Also, what are these Ogres you guys keep talking about? lol Did I miss something or do you mean the Orcs near Wyvern Tor?
Serak: Joining Syna to Barthen's, he suggests, "Perhaps we should procure transport for the supplies in the cave from Barthen first? I've also a few things to purchase from Linene at the Lion Shield and I'll likely need the local Blacksmith to make me a few... specialty items."

OOC: yeah I meant orcs, been having both orcs and ogres on the brain recently started reading the World of Warcraft books and they are working together they and interchangeable in the series......lol..
OOC: Was starting to think there was a misplaced autocorrect somewhere! Barthens it is then...
Heading north away from the towns square, the party make their way onwards to the familiar red roof of Barthens Provisions. Although it has only been three days since they last stopped at the trader, much has changed since their last meeting. As Syna steps up to the wooden doorway he steps aside as an elderly elf exits the store. The elf pardons himself as he splits the party in half before continuing on his way.
Inside the storehouse is unchanged. The walls are lined with every possible item an aspiring adventurer could require in the wilderness. Two storehands struggle to lift a large crate down from a stack along one side of the store. Barthen himself stands behind the counter, supervising them as they work. His frustration at the pairs ineptitude is obvious, "Come on Ander put yer back into it. Thistles doing most of the heavy lifting! You'd think you boys hadn't done a days work in your lives!" As the party steps inside, the balding shop keeper smiles broadly as he immediately notices his acquaintances. "Ah! Zyltris and Serak! I was wondering when I'd see you both again. And this must be the rest of your party that travelled from Neverwinter then I take it? Although... I'm sure you said there was four of you originally? Nevertheless, what can I do for you men today?"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Serak: Greeting Barthen with a smile, Serak says, "Good afternoon, sir! We've coin to spend and business to discuss, but first you must tell me true - do you recognize this symbol?" The bard draws the symbol of the green dragon.
"Coin is always welcome here kind Sir, make no mistake about that!" Barthen rubs his hands eagerly as Serak roughly sketches the shape of a dragon out into the dust on the counter. The shop keeper perplexed at the sudden request, searches his memory for any resemblance. "Well now.... I'm pretty good with the traders around here. I know all the stamps there are to know. This one though.... well, there was a few traders used a dragon just like this one to stamp their cargoes. Gold was the colour used by the dwarves of the Western Sword Mountains.... that was long long ago though, back when this place was still thriving. Red was a trader.... oh blast I can't remember who or where he was now... and green of course was what we used to receive from a trader up in Longsaddle. Haven't had anything sent to or from them for months though, he stopped trading this far south since the trail got too dangerous." Barthen scratches his head as he thinks. Finally, with his mind empty of any more he gives up. "Think thats all of 'em. Whats this got to do with anyway? You boys hunting dragons now?"
Serak is convinced the shop keeper has done his best to remember. His business after all is trade in the region. His knowledge is likely to be reliable and honest.
Serak: With a look of curiousity, Serak answers, "Too much talk of Dragons lately for my liking... Thank you for the information. We've... stumbled across a cash of supplies and weapons we're wondering if you'd be interested in? Some are marked with the symbol I drew, so if you could store them for us for now? They are nearby if we could rent your cart for a few hours?"

"Hmm, well I have little to do with weaponry myself. The supplies, I'll glad take a look at provided they're all above board!" Barthen roars out with laughter. Across the room the two storehands fall over in shock sending the crates toppling over with a loud crash, "Oh for the love of..... Any damages to those come out of your wages! Sorry, er... Yes of course Serak, you can gladly rent my cart. One gold piece will get you the cart and the oxen for a day. Once these idiots have finished unloading it's all yours. Do you need them to come along as well - only a few silver pieces each? Truth be told I'd gladly get them out of my sight for a few hours. Any of those marked crates I can send on to the respective owners if that's what your planning of course."
Serak: While the others conduct their business and arrangements are made for the cart, Serak does a little shopping. Finally, he returns with an armful of supplies and says, "I'll take everything here, thank you, sir!"
Reaching for his heavy coin purse to pay, the thief's conscience gets the better of him and he says, "There is also another matter I'd like to discuss... You may have noticed one crossbow and bolts missing from the inventory of the cart we delivered..." Trailing off, he looks at the floor.
Handing Barthen 110gp, he continues, "I may have... rummaged a bit through the supplies on the cart during our journey here. There was quite a bit of useful stuff, I'm surprised you all didn't have a peek! Anyway... I only took what I did to better defend the cart and I planned to settle up with Gundren himself, but we've yet to find him... So, I'd like to settle my account with you instead. This should cover everything here and my debt."

OOC: You're making me nervous spending that much. lol... Any specific supplies you've bought I should know about?
With the bards sudden admission, Barthens face drops. He adopts a deadly serious tone, "Mr Serak, you won't have known this about Phandalin but we take theft very.... VERY seriously here. I'm afraid, regardless of your honesty and your heroic actions thus far.... I'm afraid I have no choice but to hand you in to the townmaster." He grabs Seraks wrist as he hands over the coins. Dusting themselves off Ander and Thistle glance nervously at each other. Barthens sullen expression suddenly breaks as lets another haughty laugh burst out, "I'm sorry my friend, couldn't resist. I hadn't quite noticed it was missing in the first place! Ander did the inventory and I just assumed he miscounted.... again. But your honesty here has let him off the hook at least. By the looks of it you've proven yourself worthy of keeping it, so I'll accept your payment and I am sure Gundren will be of the same mind."
OOC: All common stuff. I assume he has Locksmiths tools and all the other stuff for Thieves Tools. Here is a list. I rounded up the total, for interest. lol
OOC: Har har! You're just lucky I'm not the kind of player that tries to steal everything and rob everyone in sight. Halia and the Town Master are fair game though. lol
