OOC: If the zombies leave the tower and are able to be hit by him from where he is outside the wall, he'll stay outside the wall. I'll wait till I know where the zombies are by the time he's up.
Serak: Creeping toward the tower, Serak finds the nearest cover that offers line of sight on the zombies. He then quietly says, "Akular vi shirak hakon!"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
As the bonfire explodes beside him, Beetle opts to stay in position. The groan on the opposite side of the wall seems uneffected by the raging inferno blocking its path. Taking a deep breath, the paladin sidesteps and points his longsword at a zombie along the curvature of the far wall (Z9)
Attack: 15 Damage: 1
A loud, bright, crackling beam shoots through the flames, whipping them as it passes through and catches the decaying body of the zombie in the shoulder. As the beam strikes, the zombie turns away from the wall, to face its attacker. A set of broken teeth chomp together as it spots its newest target.
Sensing the situation as it builds, Serak has launched himself over a set of walls and into the cover of the red tent. With the cast of his spell, a blast of magical coloured light fills the ruined tower.
A ripple of bright blue lights fill the tower as the zombie begin to drag themselves forwards.
With a drawn out grown, the first zombie (Z1) shuffles forwards. Stumbling clumsily against the wall as it leaves the tower, the zombie walks straight through the bonfire without a second thought
Zombie 1 Dexterity Save: 16 Spell Save DC: 13
It's flesh burns as it emerges through the nearside of the inferno with a gasp. Broken teeth gnash together as it staggers towards Beetle, arms lashing around wildly.
Zombie 1 Attack Roll: 20
(Beetle, This attack would beat your AC but you have a shield spell - just checking you'd use this if you had the chance to?)
OOC: That'll take the attack roll to 19 so it'd still hit. Finally a decent set of dice rolls! Guaranteed the damage roll with be 1 now though lol
Hmm, these reactions look like they might be problematic. Any preference to how I handle them? First possible reaction is how we've been using them so far, but there's alot to keep track of.
As it flails its arms randomly through the bonfire, its decaying flesh burns easily. What's left of the hair on its orcish head is set alight, but the undead fails to notice. Eyes firmly set on its target, the zombie drags itself forwards and swarms the paladin.
Zombie 2 Attack Roll:8
Its flailing arms miss its target. A chunk of flesh slips easily away from its arm as it forcibly swings through the air. The zombie groans in exasperation, unable to scratch out at its foe.
Zombie number three, steps into the light of the bonfire and into the flames dead-set on a new target.
The already dead flesh of the zombie melts away as the fire takes hold. Intoxicated by the promise of flesh meat, the creature refuses to move. Its primitive mind set purely on reaching its prey.
Inside the tower, the sounds of a sudden clammer of activity. A hoard of zombies throw themselves against the tower wall struggling to break through the crowd. Wordless roars and cries echo through the ruins as the promise of a meal tempts them into the open
OOC: if the 1st 2 zombies are on me, I would assume 1 is in the bonfire and 1 is just south of it, so any other would have to move through the bonfire and keep going to an unoccupied square....so that would give me opportunity attacks on any others that move through the bonfire right? That was the whole purpose of not moving and positioning myself where I am or i would have moved to a different spot to make that situation. This is because it cannot end its turn in an occupied square.
OOC: Right now Beetle there's no other targets for the zombies. They are pretty dead set to the nearest target and too slow for any more of them to make it out of the tower. Otherwise, yes your plan will work out fine. As soon as they become aware of other targets they should move away and give you opportunity attacks.
Syna, Brots and Zyltris - your turn to take actions
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
OOC: So just Brots left. From where you are Brots you can hit Z1 and Z2 with your longbow. The others you can hit if you move between the campfire and the tent
In an instant the bonfire disappears, the warm orange light which brightened up the scene replaced by a haunting violet glow of the zombies staggering out of the tunnel. A waft of charred and decaying drifts through the ruin, churning the heroes stomachs. Syna raises his hands and shouts another incantation. Vines burst through the crumbling stone floor of the old watchtower and spread out, wrapping itself tightly around rotting legs.
OOC: Your Entangle spell requires concentration as well according to your character sheet. I had to triple check myself to make sure!
A normal spell, attack or movement would have allowed bonfire to continue until you stopped it or made a check and failed after taking damage. Seeing as Entangle requires concentration as well your bonfire concentration moves onto the newest spell.
Brots' stands up from his position behind the north western wall and puffs out his chest. The hatred of these undead monsters courses through his veins as he picks a target. Without even taking a moment to think, an arrow is loosed from his bow, soaring across the ruined courtyard.
Attack: 25 Damage: 9
The arrow shaft plunges deep into the human zombies blackened flesh. It groans out lifelessly, suddenly turning its attention towards the gnome and shuffling that direction. In the dim firelight, Brots catches sight of a glinting gold coin hanging from a blood soaked chain around the beasts neck.
Not wanting to miss out on the action, Zyltris draws his morningstar and charges over to the tower entrance. The charred zombie in the doorway, is a perfect target on which to test his strength.
The elf, smashes the zombies orcish head with his morningstar as he joins the fray. Skull fragments sail through the air as the creatures head explodes leaving a withered jaw behind. The monster continues to swing its arms wildly as it tries to shuffle forwards.
OOC: If the zombies leave the tower and are able to be hit by him from where he is outside the wall, he'll stay outside the wall. I'll wait till I know where the zombies are by the time he's up.
I don't have a signature.
OOC: no probs Brots, ill wait til Almarath is back before taking the zombies out for a spin
Serak: Creeping toward the tower, Serak finds the nearest cover that offers line of sight on the zombies. He then quietly says, "Akular vi shirak hakon!"

OOC: its fine I was just asking in case I needed to reposition on my next turn
OOC: As far as I can see - you should start getting opportunities next turn if everything goes as it should
Syna will cast Entangle 3 squares north of z5. That should slow them down.

Normal activity, such as moving and attacking, doesn't interfere with concentration. The following factors can break concentration:
