With a heavy thump, the arrow sinks into the zombies flesh, sharply followed by a further gasp of enraged pain. Grasping for the doorway, the zombie struggles forwards against the tangle of vines at its feet, determined to break free from its burning prison.
With a chance to deal some damage of his own, Brots draws his longbow. Taking an arrow in hand, he concentrates, casts a spell on the wooden shaft and watches as it turns into a twisted thorn covered branch. The gnome takes aim at the zombie lurking in the far corner of the bar, and fires.

Freeing itself from the vines, the burning zombie stumbles forwards out of the raging bonfire. With Beetle blocking it’s path, the undead lurches towards him.

"NAUR!" A blast of flame, hurtles past the paladins shoulder and into the open doorway. Behind him, Jelenneth with her arm smoking and outstretched, watches carefully as her spell strikes the zombie.

Jelenneth quietly turns to Brots beside her, mouth open wide, shocked and seemingly at a loss how to act.
At the back of the bar, Zyltris makes it to the rear entrance. Morningstar in hand he readies himself for any potential escape from within. Glancing through the keyhole, he sees only darkness beyond, accompanied now by the smell of thick smoke filling the room.

Syna circles the around the doorway once more, looking for a path to launch another spell inside. Shivering cold runs down his arm as a gap opens. With the lumbering zombie in sight, he reaches out a glistening hand and sends an icy wind towards his target.

As spells continue to soar around him, Beetle blocks the doorway ready to attack. Lifting his sword before him, he thrust its point towards the approaching creature. A bright crackling ball of light gathers along the sword guard before streaking through the air at the zombie.

Gathering her senses, Jelenneth again prepares a ball of flame in her hands. Though doorway is busy and her sight blocked, she throws the fireball inside.

From the other side of the door comes the sound of movement, a creature moving inside, suddenly awakened by activity in the next room. With its frozen outstretched arms, and now a minor headache, the zombie continues forwards. As he locks eyes with the creature, Serak feels it best to take a step backwards, allowing Beetle to block the beasts escape.
Taking another arrow from his quiver, Brots eyes up the zombie still entangled at the rear of the bar. Determined to destroy this undead himself, he casts Hunters Mark, before nocking the arrow to his bow.

Stumbling through the vines that still cover the floor, the first of the zombies finally makes it to the doorway. Its outstretched arms reach for Beetle as it staggers forwards, jaws open awaiting fresh meat.
As the zombie lurches forwards, its weight almost catches the awaiting paladin off guard, pushing him backwards and off balance. For a moment he fears the worst as the undead creature reaches for him but is unable to grab him with its frozen arms. Frustrated the beast grunts, its gnashing teeth held back at arms length until loosened by the warmth of the fire.
Still tangled in the nest of vines, the second zombie continues to struggle against the plants rooting it to the spot.

With a loud snap, the burning vines finally give way, freeing the arrow filled zombie. It staggers forwards towards the doorway, as the burning ceiling above groans, threatening to collapse at any moment.
At the rear of the bar, stands ready. The sound of activity, growing louder with each passing moment is abruptly silenced. Against his better judgment, he approaches the door and reaches out a hand.

In the chaos the party watch as the inn quickly starts to catch fire. Smoke billows from beneath the roof tiles and spreads over the ceiling inside. A side window cracks from the heat.
