“Well looks like we may have found the goblins. I’m guessing that cave is their lair.” Beetle says. “No way of knowing how many in their so we need to proceed with caution. You guys can also see in the dark a bit, I csn’t So if it’s not somewhat lit we will need to light a torch.”
“I would definitely say scout first then see what we can draw out.” Beetle says. He continues, “Possibly we can set a trap of our own at the entrance if anyone has the know how. I myself am not to familiar with these things.”
Serak: Looking more doubtful by the second, the rogue responses, "I know a thing or two about traps, but I fear I have not the materials nor the time. An ambush at the entrance should suffice, assuming the entire den doesn't come out at once."
Smiling apprehensively, Serak swallows loudly and says, "Here goes nothing. Pray for me, Beetle. Tell Tyr I may have my faults, but I'm generally a pretty decent fellow."
Slipping into the forest once more, Serak makes his way down to the cave entrance. He'll scout for traps and penetrate the cave entrance as far as is reasonable without having to expose himself.

Serak quietly crosses the shallow stream and sneaks along the thicket towards the cave entrance. As he gets closer he notices a small area in the briar thickets has been hollowed out to form a lookout post. Wooden planks flatten out the briars and provide room for guards to lie hidden and watch the area. Two goblin guards lazily sit around a small campfire, unaware of the dangerous elf watching them from the stream.
“Ok my friend, I have put a good word in for you with Tyr, while you are scouting the rest of us will move closer into the cover of the trees on the right side of the cave opening. That way we are closer in case you get yourself into trouble....lol....but I’m sure you will be fine my friend.”

Serak: Recognizing an opportunity he cannot afford to waste, Serak picks up a bit of sand from the stream bed, waves his hand and speaks a mystical language in a soothing tone.
Action: Cast Sleep. Centered on Goblins. HP Effected: 24
As the spell is cast the sand slowly drifts into the air and around the heads of the two lazy goblins. Both goblins yawn loudly. Their eyelids become heavier than they can both bare. Without a seconds delay they both drift off into a deep sleep. The pair curl up around the fire, twitching slightly.
Zyltris follows towards the cave entrance ready to attack any goblins with his Morningstar. He whispers “Should we kill one of these goblins and capture the other? Perhaps we can ask him about the cave.”
Serak: Stepping into the open, Serak gives the others the all clear. He waves his hand for them to come quickly as he quietly approaches the goblin lookouts. Drawing his rapier, he approaches the nearest goblin and thrusts for his throat.
Attack(Advantage): 24
Damage(Auto-Critical Hit): 13

Seraks attack is devastating. Still under the effects of sleep, the goblin doesn't stir as Serak grabs its head and slices its throat open. The sleeping goblin collapses onto the floor and bleeds out peacefully. Zyltris, Beetle and Syna cross the river quickly and quietly to assist in Seraks stealthy assault.
"I agree with Zyltris before dispatching the 2nd do we want to restrain him, move away from the cave, wake him and question him? Unless you think it will be of no use then by all means dispatch him to another plane." says Beetle
Serak: Wiping goblin blood from his rapier, he patiently keeps watch on the second goblin until the others arrive.
Standing over his kill with a triumphant grin, "Shall we attempt to restrain this poor creature and interrogate him elsewhere? No telling how soon these chaps will be missed by the others."

Beetle pulls the the hempen rope out of his bag and they begin to restrain the goblin, making sure to also gag him for the moment. "Once this is done we will move a safe distance back then question him."
"Zel please keep an eye on the cave while we restrain him."
Serak: Helping to bind the creature's feet, Serak says quietly, "I don't like the idea of us separating. Let Syna's hawk friend watch the cave for now. All the jerky he can eat. This shouldn't take long."

“That’s fine as well, I didn’t mean for Zel to get closer just keep an eye in that direction so no surprises. The hawk is a better option now though.” Beetle finishes the last knot, “I think he’s bound enough now anyhow let’s move.”

Serak: Hiding the body of the slain goblin in the thicket (Deception: 18), Serak follows Beetle back up the trail. Being sure to be well out of earshot before they stop.
With a sly grin the rogue says, "So how you want to do this? Good guard, bad guard?"

“This sounds good. Can anyone speak to him? We should ask what the defenses are in the cave and how many creatures will find. He might also know more about the mine.”
" Guys try to look as mean and crazy as you can..." Beetle approaches the goblin, wakes up him, and in goblin says,
"Before I remove your gag just understand if you call for help these guys behind me," he points to Zyltris specifically, "will kill you in a second and eat you. Maybe even just eat you while your still alive, they have been know to do that. Nod if you understand that."
Again to the goblin, "Tell me about the cave. How many goblins are in there? Do you have prisoners, Sildar and Rockseeker maybe? Are they still alive? How about traps? Sketch me a map of the layout."

Serak: Looking doubtfully down the ravine, Serak says solemnly, "A cave... why did it have to be a cave?"Appearing more than a bit nervous, the bard finally says, "Umm... shall we try to draw out any guards? Or... should I scout the entrance?"
