....how close to the basket exactly? it's leaning on the wagon right? [also should be noted, the papoose is a vines and branches construction, with leather straps attached]
Close enough to give it some warmth but not too close as not to set the basket accidentally on fire [she’s really careful! ;-) ] because of its construction the basket has too many gaps to be well insulated, and the night air is too brisk for the tiny bodies.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Ayra
To Mobya: "I'm fairly sure he said that he and I would look after the babies, but it really is quite difficult to decipher his accent."
She reflects on how fiercely protective Mobya is of the babies and feels confident that they would be safe in her care.
She proposes to the Merchant (and Mobya): "Would it be equally acceptable if Mobya stayed to guard the camp and the younglings with you while I help to pursue the thieves? I know I am not one of your hires, and I may not appear to be a brave warrior, but I have proven to be quite capable with the shortbow during my archery lessons, and I am ready to finally make use of my skills."
[Okay, to keep us moving, ...Lil is holding action until he finishes processing what the Merchant is saying and Mobya's slightly antagonistic response ;). Lil let us know when you know.]
Silv'ar and Alesandair sense some sort of movement just beyond where Al's shield light is shining, but it seems both the creature they were chasing and the flying one they only glimpsed are attempting to hide.
Agozur , you're up. What do you do?

The Merchant will visibly soften at Ayra's words and bow as he says, "Yeh seertenly maye do whet yeh lik, meh leetee. yeh es neht beholteen teh meh er meh guhts."
He then takes up his crossbow again and remains alert, peering into the dark of the forest to the North and West and then the South, He smiles as he notices Wraeven and Morn returning at the edge of his darkvision. "Weel, hurrah, tem boyes brot beck un kass, only fur muhr teh giht."
“best to keep close to camp and keep our party together, these scavengers caught us off guard and caused us to separate and lower or defence. Let’s hope it’s not a diversion.”
Wraeven nods upon hearing the sound advice offered by the fighter. He appreciates the tactical assessment of the situation and realizes it may not have been the smartest thing to charge after two creatures into darkened woods. He was relieved that they appeared to be making off with supplies instead of children.
"You're right. We should get back. Watch your head we got some low branches up ahead."
[META: That's a good question Ayra. Yes, that can be a really good way to synchronize while in initiative. You can ready action / hold action and have the triggering effect be your party member's action.]
[META: So, I was tempted to push through to Ayra, since Agozur and Lil will likely work in concert whatever they do and also since the initiative shift to Agozur was 18 hours ago. I don't want anyone feeling pressured or rushed, but I also don't want you all getting bored. What is everyone's thoughts?I can't tell if I am just getting overexcited. I think originally I had said about a day with activity, and I would move the plot forward.]
[The flash was too quick to notice crates or boxes, but you could do a Nature check to see if you can identify anything from the quick flash of an outline that you had seen or heard at this point.]
As the flash of radiant light dissipates from his sacred flame, Alesandair quickly tries to make sense of what he just saw. He had heard the forests could be wild, but what was that story...the one about the farmer who was lost after being drawn into the woods by an alluring sound, charmed as it were by a flying creature lying in wait. Then, Alesandair remembered the warning, the image of wings clinched it, one of Xanthippe's daughters, a harpy.
[Currently Lil or Agozur can act at any time, and Ayra is waiting to act until some play can be arranged.]
Silv'ar looks like we are moving to you and Alesandair, since you are both unlikely at the current moment to affect the decisions of the rest of the party, who can barely make out the radiance of Alesandair's lighted shield, roughly 120 feet to the East of camp.

Returns the merchant's bow. To everyone at camp, upon hearing that Wraeven and Morn are returning:
"I would propose that we regroup with our returning comrades and discuss our next actions."
[ooc: With my turn coming up, will it be possible to delay it until Wraeven and Morn have returned?]

[ imI fine with whatever you decide, I am ok with you narrating something Ayra had a good point, we should figure out what we want to do]
I am ok too with finding ways to keep moving forward in general!
[I guess i'm excited too :)]
[Also I will go ahead and post mine now]
Ayra, at this point, will do nothing (just waiting for Morn and Wraeven to get to camp to we can work out a strategy)
ooc: was Alesandair able to tell if either of the creatures he saw in the flash had any boxes or crates from the wagon.
or would h ebe able to tell what the winged creature was and if i wanna leg it out of there lol

[should we start to talk strategy now to keep things moving, even though Wraeven and Morn aren't technically back at camp yet?]
