Frixori approaches the barely breathing goblin. "Can anyone here speak with this thing? Maybe we can get some answer from it." She bends down to poke through the sack of treasure that the goblin has gathered. "This one has been busy." The tiefling breaks off a piece from the block of cheese and begins to nibble on it as she searches the place. "Something must not have liked the cooking considering the number of rocks flung on this place."She wanders over to where the bar is (and if it hasn't been destroyed, pours herself a drink).
Iz is already chewing on a chicken wing no one is quite sure how she got it to her mouth as immobile as she is.
Thassthstes okay tho me
She says with her mouth full. Her sword is sheathed and she's more relaxed now but still takes the time to have a look around her eyes growing narrow with the effort.
Sheshka grunts, but steps up to the broken goblin “I can...” She says as if the words leave a bad taste in her mouth. She squats down, looking it over like a questionable piece of meat that’s beyond the expiration period. Then she goes down to one knee entirely, and places her boot on the goblins chest. “Wake up!” She snarls in goblin, following it up with a sharp smack across the creatures face!
Druug watches with interest as Sheska begins talking to the goblin. He personally would have dispatched the little troublemaker, but he supposed knowledge about exactly what was going on would be helpful. Seeing the small size of this particular goblin, he is again sure that tossing the large boulders they have seen are signs that something larger is at work here.
Frixori continues to nibble on her cheese and sip her pilfered whiskey at the bar. She watches on with amusement as the interrogation begins and calls over, "You're not going to get any answers if it bleeds out."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Iz has no love of goblins, but she feels a strange sort of connection to them as creatures of small size, and she doesn't enjoy watching needless suffering besides. She spits out the chicken wing and weakly tries to push Sheska off of the goblin, bouncing off of her leg with the bulk of her outerwear.
If you want to talk to her then let's bind her wounds at least. If not then just end it, I wont stand by and watch her be tormented.
If no one else looks like they are going to tend to the poor creature, Iz will take off her outer layers and throw them on a table to start bandaging the goblin's wounds.
Rat takes some of the random food, starts chewing on some of it and pockets the rest of it. "I'll be keeping an eye out for any others lurking around outside. Let me know what's next once you're done with this."
Druug watches as Iz bandages the goblin's wounds with curiosity, waiting to see what happens next. His new companions have strange ways, but the little one seems fierce, if fluffy.
"There now, no more bleeding see? Do you speak any common? We need to know what happened here, what caused the boulders to come caving in the roofs and suchlike. Will you tell us?"
Thalia nods thoughtfully as Iz finishes up with the goblin's wounds. She has to admit, she wouldn't have expected such skillful work from someone who branded herself a warrior. "If I may," she adds, looking at the goblin and hoping she understands, "you seemed nervous when you poked your head out the door--before you realized it was us, I mean. Is there something other than us around here that you're afraid of?"
The goblin howls as Iz inadvertently reopens her arrow wound. "Years and years ago! They were here years and years ago, and they scared off all the peoples! Help! Help!"
From the goblin's use of the word 'years,' you gather that she does not have a very advanced concept of the passage of time.
When Gum-gum starts to call for help Iz shoves the remainder of the chicken in the goblin's mouth to quiet her then draws a blade across her throat before laying her gently to the ground. She closes the goblin's eyes and says a quick prayer to Arvoreen before straightening. She cracks her neck and starts stuffing her heavy clothes into her pack, shivering from the cold.
I don't think that one was going to be of more use, but if she was right... it might be a while before I have some of that fine stew.
She frowns, checking the buckles on her equipment, arms her shield and draws her longsword again looking much more a warrior than under all of her layers.
Frixori nods clearly impressed that the halfling had the moxie to kill the helpless creature in cold blood. "I believe you're right. It seems this town may have been abandoned. No sign of the villagers anywhere so far. They just left the door open on their way out for these goblins to take over." The tiefling downs the rest of her drink and begins for the door. "I will be back shortly. We forgot something that may be of use in the church."
(Heading back to retrieve the letters that were in the bag... to Hiral Mystrum.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Iz will hum a comforting halfling song to herself waiting inside, but with the door open while she and the party wait for Frixori to return. She squints at the darkness and stands with her sword and shield at the ready.
Iz is concentrating with such vigor that she nearly passes out and leans on her shield (which is nearly her size to begin with) for support to stay upright. She shakes her head, coming to.
"I hope the ah..." she makes a hand motion that looks like horns (referring to Frix), "will be all right by her lonesome. And where did the uh..." she makes a motion with her hand that looks like she's measuring someone roughly her height (referring to Rat), "go this time?"
If it wasn't clear before that she hasn't figured out what everyone's names, monikers, or less than obvious identifying features are yet, it's pretty obvious now.
Rat pokes his head back in and smiles seeing the goblin dead. "Done, are we? Lets go through the town building by building and see if there is any with the roof still intact and a fireplace inside. We need to get warm and rest before we all freeze to death"
(I took note of that and then immediately forgot it. My bad. The goblin is unconscious, not dead.)

The goblin jerks upright, which she immediately regrets. "Gum-Gum hurt!" She howls, clutching at her wounds as if she had only moments yet to live.

Iz tends to the goblin's wounds with remarkable skill, and within minutes she has the bleeding stopped.

"Thought maybe the giants had come back." The goblin stammers in common.

At the mention of giants, Iz gasps in dismay and looks for the reactions of her comrades. She grabs the goblin by both shoulders.
When were they last here? Why? What more can you tell us?
