 Mozu puts his behind his back and raises his chin very militaristically, “A River Troll caught fire during its ambush of us.”

"It was Daktani!" Curascious says excitedly. "The figure fleeing the scene, Daktani. Consorting with a troll. Tried to attack Tith, but we proved to much for the pair to handle. He ran away frightened."

Mozu gives a very mild *eugh* face at the thought.

"Daktani? He's nothing but a low level thief. What could Rodrik have been investigating that would cause Daktani to go so far as to kill him?" Kurst looks confused. "He must have had something big going on."

“No direct evidence Daktani committed murder,” rapidly muses Curascious, “but situation suspicious.”

Herd perks up and says, "I do believe we found evidence of some cult of some kind. I am not too current with the religion of the day, but perhaps one of the others could better explain it. Something about a worm that dug tunnels, I believe."

"You guardses ain't bad at your jobs, de orcses was cheating and diggin tunnels!" Tith yells at the guards waving his axes around

"One of the guards behind Kurst looks at Tith, we are paid to guard inside the town. This isn't inside." his hand is resting on the hilt of his sword.

"Guardsmen splitting hairs," continues Curascious. "Security interests can extend slightly beyond borders of town. No jurisdiction laws here, after all. And if enemy burrows all the way from outside town to inside town, what then? Is underground 'inside' of town? What about air? How far up is 'inside' town? Should find ordinances, might clear things up."

Curascious starts off with the full intent to try and look up town ordinances, having forgotten about the current situation. Crawley follows behind.

".... never mind, those guards are dum dums" Tith mutters to himself as he follows Mozu

Herd grabs Curascious by the collar and gently lifts him up so for a split second, he's walking on air, and says, "Mr. Flumplestump, perhaps we should look up those ordinances later. Would you kindly explain to them the symbol of the cult we found?"

 Mozu clears his throat, “I believe that I may of better use in that regard.” Mozu will explain his findings of the Crawling King and the lair of, the totally safe and normal thing, Raishan.

"This is about Raishan's lair? That fantasy? That stupid non-existent treasure." He runs a hand over his face brushing back his hair. "My brother died because of treasure hunters?"

He turns toward the guards, "Put out a notice that Daktani is to be arrested on sight." He turns back toward the party. "It's getting late, tomorrow is Rodrik's funeral. Please get some rest and we can talk tomorrow after the funeral. I appreciate everything you have done for my family."

Herd has nothing to contribute to the conversation and will gladly accompany the others back to the inn. Along the way, he asks, "What I don't understand is how these... cultists.... were able to afford those assassins. It seems like the operation at that burning house had no funds - it looked down trodden. Perhaps once the fire settles and burns out we can return during the day to see if there's anything left... Or if any of these cultists returned."

"With that said, I would thoroughly enjoy a temporary power down - my internal systems have made adjustments and I need to cycle them in order for the final changes to take effect."

Mozu nods, “Agreed. I will spend the remaining evening meditating upon these victories. Perhaps such things will deem me worthy of the Strife Emperor’s power.”

You can ask around for likely places or you could just go hunting.

Also, Curascious is going with Tith and Herd is going to the funeral. Need to know if Red and Mozu are going to the funeral or hunting with Tith.
