OK, even if the folks on the stairs above me are difficult terrain I should have enough movement to get to where I moved
I'm using a superiority die to do a Feinting Attack so the feint is a bonus action that gives advantage on my next attack and the die roll is added to any damage
Barnaby stumbles over the wolf pup, who retreats downward a couple of steps, and misses. Ireena, though, lodges a crossbow bolt in the armor's abdomen, doing 5 points of damage! The dents and holes are starting to pile up.
Fope, go ahead with your attack, and Puddin may go as well.
Puddin pulls out her trusty crossbow. As she begins lock and load her bolt, the metal bar becomes lodged within the wood shaft. She grunts and begins the shake the bow and bar becomes free and she's able to lock the bolt in place. Just like new.
She points at the phantom knight.
Attack: 8
I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack! Thanks for being patient with me.
Fope is grappled! The animated armor drags him to the railing and hoists him over the center of the stairwell. I gave him a DEX save to catch the rail and prevent the fall, but I rolled a natural 1, so down he goes! (edit: I remembered that, as a halfling, he gets a single reroll of his 1's, so I went back and rolled it again. And got a 2.)
Barnaby, I imagine you would like to cast Feather Fall again? If not, I'll roll damage dice.
Ordinarily, the armor would get a second attack action. Between the grabbing and the carrying and the depositing over the rail, I will forgo it this time. If Barnaby does cast Feather Fall, then it's everybody's turn but Fope's. If not, I'll roll damage for the falling halfling.

If that was a to hit roll with the crossbow then it was a miss. I’m phone posting so i can’t see whether you rolled the right thing.
This is a heavily armored opponent, so you might want to consider (1) using attacks that don’t depend on a successful roll to hit, or (2) helping the other members of your party in some way other than straight attacking against your enemy.
Ok. We’re still waiting for Barnaby to say whether he used his Reaction to cast Feather Fall, but while we wait then we can process other turns.
Kif delivers another massive blow. One of the arms is shorn off at the elbow, and there is nothing inside the armor! It is badly damaged, but struggling on.

Is Føpé at disadvantage on the grapple?
If not then 4
Trying again: 8
Nope. You just barely escape its grasp!
Kif, Barnaby, Puddin, and Ireena all go now.

Attack now, with advantage 22
if that hits: 5 damage
plus superiority damage 8
Throw me down the stairs, will ya
Kif delivers a mighty blow, and drives his blade into his foe’s black armor. The animated armor does not slow down.
If Barnaby brings the candle back up the steps, Fope will have light and be ready to swing.
Barnaby will rinse and repeat last turn except he will remain at the top of the stairs with the stupid candle.
Attack: 11, Damage: 8
It’s always struck me as odd that halflings have such a hard time seeing in the dark. All the other small races can do so with ease.

Føpé attacks with a mighty swing of his scimitar: Attack: 17 Damage: 9
Fope is sure he struck true, but the blade bounces harmlessly off the black plate. The creature’s metal helm swings back toward him.
Does the armor look like it’s taken a beating? Like we’ve barely even scratched it, or somewhere in the middle?
Good news! A little birdie told me that Puddin will join us this evening.
Yay!

Welcome back, Puddin, when to I get to carve the bad guy?
Ok, that's everybody.
Top of the round! Fope goes first. At his request, I will "bot" him according to his instructions.
Fope wields his scimitar to feint a menacing swing at the animated armor, but it is all deception: he is taking the Dodge action.
The animated armor attempts to grapple Fope, and I rolled a natural 20 for it. Rolling for Fope's Acrobatics check, he needs a natural 20 as well: 8

Does my bow hit make any damage on this guy?
Kif is going to do the feinting attack again for his bonus
19 attack with advantage next
If that hits 8 damage
plus superiority die damage 5
