A quick nod, and Atuan patters after the advancing figures in the party, sadly looking at the carnage of goblin-bits in the room. He sighs, having his duplicate run along side him until it shimmers out existence. Reaching the top of the stairs, he mimes giving his clone a high five, and then turns to Morph.
The party follows Halleth down the stairs to the second level. The stairs turn south at some point, depositing the group into a long southward leading passageway. Halleth marches southward, stopping at a passage leading east. He seems to be listening to the silence, then his head sharply turns to the east, his teeth bared.
Titus keeps a close eye on their undead companion, he is obviously full of mistrust and is not comfortable with Halleth, but he is encouraged by how effectively he has been navigating the sprawling dungeon.

"The filthy backstabbing chicken-livered sons of goblin mothers that robbed me and left me to die," Halleth says, spitting. "I have been granted new strength by Waukeen to have my vengeance!"
(Sorry for the delay. Flew back to Brisbane yesterday. Spent today unpacking and settling in.)
The only thing Morph knows of Waukeen is that the god might have died? But still has followers somehow. It is a confusing mess in his mind.
"Copper Stormforge," Halleth says with a snarl as he walks through a trash-filled room. The walls are adorned with bas-reliefs that once depicted dwarves carrying supplies. The dwarves’ faces have been chipped away and replaced with cartoonish goblin heads drawn in charcoal. "Midna, and Rex..the 'Hammer'. Somehow they were separated. I don't know how I know but it will make it so much easier to kill them."
As if to punctuate his point, a drop of goblin blood falls from his clenched fist to the stone floor.
Rethan slowly nods. "I'm highly curious about what's going on with Halleth, but I think our mission is more important. And at least he got us to the next floor."
Titus pauses his pursuit of Halleth to coordinate with his companions. He stands at the back of the room and speaks in a low voice. He continues to watch Halleth, never taking his eyes off the undead. “Do you think he would continue to guide us through this place? He seems to know way his way around here, he could continue to help carve a path through the maze... though I suppose we cannot follow him interminably. At least we must interrogate him! See what he knows and what his plans are, and not just let him loose in this place. Who knows what despicable evils he could be plotting to unleash!”
Titus clenches his hands around his weapon as he speaks and his voice grows more urgent, his eyes locked upon the half elf across the room. He raises his voice to reply to Halleth listing his quarry to them.
”How long have you been stuck in that pit?! Those that betrayed you could be long gone, do you have any concept of what age this is? Do you even know the name of the Open Lord of Waterdeep?”
Halleth, about 15 feet ahead of Titus, answers without turning. "I lost track of the days," he says. "Perhaps 4 days? 5? But I know my betrayers live. I can...sense them. I feel them there...and there." He points in two directions, directly through the walls, mainly to the east. "And don't pester me with trivialities, friend. Silverhand is the Open Lord, unless something has changed in the last ten-day."
Laniel, silent for so long, finally says his piece. "The mission is the priority. He will not lead us through this maze. He hasn't been a threat to us so far either. When we came back, perhaps we can deal with him then."
“I don’t trust him” snarled Titus. “I fear if we do not handle this now it will only be worse later on. But I will not stand in the way if this is the course we’ve chosen”

Morph waves at Atuan,
"Quick, lets get after the others! It's probably a bad idea to get separated down here."
Morph heads into the previous room in time to see Rethan start descending the stairs.
Morph turns his head and calls back to Atuan,
"Looks like we are heading down to the next level!"
Morph walks over to the top of the stairs, waiting for Atuan to join him, before he follows the others down.

"Can you tell us who or what you're looking for Halleth?" Rethan asks. "Where are you headed?"
Seeing Halleth stop at the intersection and take an interest to the east, Rethan sends Bat-night (bat midnight) out to explore down the passage.
"The filthy backstabbing chicken-livered sons of goblin mothers that robbed me and left me to die," Halleth says, spitting. "I have been granted new strength by Waukeen to have my vengeance!"
The undead man heads east, just behind Midnight.
"Waukeen, is that a deity, sounds familiar?"

Morph whispers to any of his friends who are not too close to Halleth,
"I think we are getting away from our mission here."
"We should decide if we are going to let Halleth go, or try to stop him."
"If we keep following him like this, we could get lost down here. I'm having difficulty keeping up with my rough mapping, at this pace."
"We really need to go back up and finish the 'line', and report what we know to Lady Blackstaff and the others."

"Then let's confront him here and not wait. Nobody suspects he is up to any good, do they?" Laniel says.
"I am leaning towards Titus's thinking. I have never heard of an undead creature that did not intend evil from its heart."
"There may be many down here who do not deserve mercy, but I would rather not unleash an undead abomination upon this dungeon."
"Although, we may yet encounter more undead down here, if our mission brings us back down for more exploring."
Morph lets out a sigh,
"So, how do we want to do this?"
Morph moves himself back behind Titus, Rethan and Laniel, but keep the bear in the front ranks with the others.
