"Yes, definitely. We will be going down there. The first night I got into town a Troll popped out of the portal and we all had to battle to kill it. Very exciting!"
"What were you looking at? Going to get a pair of earrings?"
"Favor for a favor" and Elon follows Vassa out the door. "Yes, lets head to the temple"
Elon:
You immediately recognize it as a Necklace of Fireballs, and a valuable one at that due to the number of orbs still on the necklace. The necklace itself isn't too uncommon, but to find one with more that one or two uses remaining is quite rare.
"Interesting. Those are decent prices, too. Yes, I'll remember this place, Balthorr's, and come on back. That quiver could come in handy. Do you have any magic arrows?"
"I do not. But I will start to keep my eyes out for some if it's something you're interested in."
Selinae looked the pieces over but eventually turned away from them, " Perhaps once I've made my fortune I'll come back and buy a more substantial piece."
She smiled at Balthorr, " Thankyou so much."
"That sounds very wise young lass. Hope the two of you have a good evening."
Once Elon and Vassa are back on the streets, he will let Vassa know what the necklace is a "necklace of fire ball" and how it works. "We need to get to the others with this and maybe even the Watch. Do me a favor and be careful with it."

"We learned more about each other. That's something."
Selinae turned towards Kestrell and lifted him off the ground in a tight hug, " Yes. We.Did."
There was a series of popping sounds as Kestrells vertebrae were violently realigned, but Selinae managed to put him down before there was any permanent damage done.

"I can hold on to it if you would feel more comfortable with that." Elon will take it and put in his bag if Vassa gives it to him.
"We know now how they got a 'puppet' to cast a spell. The question is...what do we do with it? I don't think it would be good to be caught with the murder weapon but I also don't want to deal with the Watch more then I have too." Elon pauses for a second "let's hurry and get to the temple. We need to ask the others what they think."

"My apologies Nim!" Phaedra says as she lowers her shield and mace.
"You did indeed startle us when your bird came rushing towards our group. I am sorry that we broke it. I hope you can understand why we had concern, as we have come to the temple from a murder scene where it seems that a puppet of some kind has cast a fireball into the street and killed a great number of people. This happened in the North Ward, not far from our home. When we investigated the roof that the puppet was on, we found a scrap of cloth that had the symbol of Gond sown into it. So naturally we come right to your temple" Phaedra looks back at the priestess as she explains, "to seek answers about this crime. I am in no way blaming the holy clergy of Gond, no, but I hope you may be able to provide us with some clue as to who could have build such a puppet and use it to murder others."

As Elon expresses his willingness to hold the magical necklace, Vassa looks directly into the Zhentarim sorcerer's eyes to try to detect any hint of greed or malice, but seeing none, the half-drow bard looks relieved as he relinquishes his hold on the powerful item.
Smiling at his ally, Vassa nods in agreement and says, "Agreed. Let's go!"

Anything we can do to help fix it?"As he continues to remain observant his hands never stop resting on the hilts of his swords, playing into the idea of his bodyguard position.

Almost taken aback by the extent of Elon's forthrightness, Vassa instead smiles with genuine warmth and clasps the other man on the shoulder as he turns in the direction of temple. Pleased that he had not rejected Elon, and Silver, out of hand despite their affiliations, the bard keeps a wary eye on surrounding rooftops as the pair make their way through Waterdeep's streets.

As Phaedra explains what's going on, Nim starts signing to Valetta very rapidly. Valetta is caught off guard and strugling to keep up mutters, "Sorry? Sorry for what? Slow down Nim." Nim slows his hand signals down and Valetta's head is bobbing in apparent understanding until suddenly her face contorts in anger and she starts yelling at Nim. "I can NOT believe you did that! Of course we have safeguards in place!" Then Valetta spins on her heels and walks part of the way down the staircase you all came up and yells for others. Then she returns and looks to you all.
"Nim is a nimblewright that was gifted to the temple by a Lantanese wizard. Have I already told you this? I can remember now." She pauses and takes a couple of breaths before continuing. "Nim loves to build things, which is why the wizard gave him to the temple of Gond. Evidently he's smarter than we thought because he just admitted to created another nimblewright similar to himself. He said he did so to to ease his loneliness. However, he didn't think to limit it's movements to just the temple grounds so it escaped, "fled in confused terror" a month ago, is what he says. And Nim hasn’t seen it since."
About this time several other people arrive with boxes in tow. Valetta orders them to remove any and all inventions, toys, and supplies from Nim's room. It's very obvious that this order makes Nim extremely sad but he just steps to the side and lets the acolytes into his room.
OOC: You believe all the emotions displayed by both Valetta and Nim to be sincere.
The rooftops appear clear as you wind your way through the streets and to the temple. The House of Inspired Hands looks like a cross between a temple and a workshop. The symbol of Gond, a toothed cog with four spokes, is displayed prominently. As you walk inside you see that you're in a sort of foyer area of the temple. About 20 feet in front of you are another set of double doors. To the left and right there are single doors, each about 35 feet away. To your left is a male gnome, sitting at a desk sketching something. He looks up as you walk in. "Welcome to The House of Inspired Hands. What can a worshipper of Gond such as myself help you with today?"
"Oh! Ah! Ow!" As Selinae puts him down, "Thank you. Very affectionate, I see. That's nice."

Once you walk in Renaer looks up, "And the first group of investigators has returned! Did you find out anything about this mystry?"
Kestrell nods at Renaer. "Yeah, the mage, Barney Windblast, does not appreciate the finer points of humor. How about you, what did you find?"
"Unfortunately, I've not found anything as of yet. But I've sent runners off to a number of folks with the description of the fellow that fled the scene. And I left word for any news to be sent to me here. Hopefully we'll hear something soon."
