Misha turns back to the door, uses her shield as a barrier, and reaches around to prop the door open in one strong thrust.
The trapdoor opens. As it does, an extremely loud hideous hellish voice booms in the room. "FOOLS - WELCOME TO YOUR DEATH!"
Each creature that hears the message must make a DC 12 Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, a creature has disadvantage on all ability checks for 1 hour unless it is immune to the frightened condition. The creature can repeat the saving throw every 15 minutes.
"What foul magic was that?" Misha asks, strangely calm. She lays a hand on Erriviels shoulder. "Come, do not be afraid. I hef the feeling whoever leeves in thees house knows we are here. We weel be safe together, Bane protects us."
Misha looks down into the trapdoor after peeling off Sloop from her thigh once again like a frightened child. The trapdoor appears to descend into what appears to be a cellar. But it smells terrible, and it's completely lit by candlelight. When Misha looks back at the group, he face is of one of resolve after seeing what's down below.
May Bane give us the strength to uncover what evil lurks in this house.
Carrhae spends a long time in the store, trying on multiple longcoats, posing with them, generally trying to figure out which one she would look best in. Eventually she settles on one, purchasing it and leaving the store to head to a tavern. She knows that Wolf informed the party about the existence of the Wicker Goat, but she decides that the best route to getting in with the people of Saltmarsh would be to diversify the crowds that they hang out with. Once she locates a different tavern, she walks in, longcoat on, but not buttoned up so high that she's concealing anything. Carrhae had been to a few taverns in her time and she rarely ever had to pay for a drink, as people were more than willing to purchase one for her. But this time Carrhae returns the favor, as she is trying to win favor here. "The first round is on me tonight!" She says, paying enough to ensure that everyone in the tavern gets a drink. While Carrhae is treated like a heroine by the mass of drinkers, there's one particular patron that she's got an eye on. A woman with fair skin and long red hair that's dressed in a sleeveless black shirt and leather pants. It just so happened that one of them would get caught taking a look at the other every so often. Carrhae buys her a drink and beckons her over to the table she's sitting at. She walks towards the table, hips swaying as she does so.
"You've been looking over here a lot. See something you like?" She jokes.
"I do. Three guesses as to what it is. But you've been looking my way every so often, so I think that you might be seeing something that you like." She once again sways her hips, highlighting the area that Carrhae's been focusing on.
"Guilty. Now, can I know who my mutual admirer is?"
"Trish. And you are?"
"I'm Carrhae, Captain of the Belle of the Sea."
"Well Captain, how about we stop gazing at each other like perverts and enjoy each other's company while we're still young? Care to join me upstairs?"
And Carrhae did so, passing the hours in the company of the red-haired beauty.
Later that night, anyone who was still awake on the Belle would have seen their Captain wearing a new longcoat as she returned to the ship or heard the tapping of sandal-clad feet moving towards the Captain's quarters if they weren't on deck. Either way, Carrhae was unable to stop grinning as she returned to the Belle, satisfied with her tryst and hoping that she might be able to develop it into a more beneficial partnership.

Erriviel pushes Misha’s hand off his shoulder, ”I don’t need your reassurances, I’m perfectly fine,” he snaps.
After a moment to compose himself, he apologizes, “My apologies, Misha. My nerves got the better of me for a second. If these folk know we’re here, I wouldn’t want to keep them waiting.”
CARRHAE: Nicely done, you gain 1 contact: Trish. As explained, you are free to do what you wish with her. Treat her right, and you might gain some insight around town in the future. Your "drinks are on me" cost you 2gp.
SYLTRA: Wow, those planks of wood were heavy, you can feel you almost pulled your back out. You did, however, earn 2gp for a days work today. Be careful not to hurt yourself!

This torchlit chamber was once a large cellar, but it has since been converted into a massive cult chamber. Ten crude beds stand along the south wall, each with a wooden locker at its foot. A long wooden trestle table ringed by rickety stools dominates the center of the room. Metal cutlery, cups, and dirty plates sit atop the table. A cook stove is installed near the table, and evidence of recently cooked meals sits in pots atop it. There are two wooden doors in the east side of the room.
Nearly every square inch of this room is covered in hellish symbols written in blood. There are hundreds of lit candles along the corners of the walls and on the furniture - making this whole room look like some sort of demonic chamber. Misha looks at the markings and her face is very serious. So. They are here.

Chandor slings his bow, opting for his two short swords in the close quarters. "Should we investigate the caves or clear these rooms first?" The ranger checks the floors for signs of footprints or traffic, hoping that will help them decide their next move.

Stepping carefully over the candles and the hellish blood markings, Misha opens the door to AREA 22. She peeks in, then waves you all inside. This small room holds comfortable furnishings and appears to be well cared for. A comfortable-looking bed in the northwest corner has a wooden locker at its foot. The entire room is covered with candles and hellish markings in blood. A small wooden table stands against the east wall, with a padded leather chair beside it.
Under the table is a small wooden box and an unlit bullseye lantern with a movable shutter over the lens. On a shelf above the table sit three books. In the northeast corner is a closed wooden wardrobe.
