“That... was not worth it” Maldorn says waving his hands trying to shoo away the stench. Not realizing that Jambiya is busy playing with the elusive lizard, the ranger then suggests: “Shall we push our dingy into the water and finally rejoin the ship’s crew?”
Jambiya whoops with delight as the little dragon buzzes her. “You’re a good flyer! And fast! That was a neat trick, too.” She tries to think her thoughts in the direction of the creature, << Can you show me what I look like to you? >>

"Oh!" Jambiya looks back at the group. "We're going!" she calls to the critter. Then she turns and runs back down to the water, helping with the rowboat as she can.

OOC if it would help in Jambiya’s effort to convince the lizard to come along, Erric will inspire her (if there is a roll involved!). He assumed she had it taken care of and has been distracted with the resurrection but does care a lot about Jambiya’s happiness and so would absolutely inspire her on this since she cares about it.
OOC > I think she's got it. I suspect this is either a) her reward for that Christmas rolling thing, or b) presaging her 3rd level Pact of the Chain, or c) both.

Erric and Jambiya are encouraged to jump in the boat as Maldorn, Anafrey and Ebokk push. Once the boat is floating free of the sand beneath the waves, the others jump in as well. The oars are manned, and the rowing begins. Jambiya's eyes are fixed on the shore. She sees the brightly-colored lizard escape the tall grasses out onto the beach, supposedly watching the adventurers as they float away. She feels an emotion brush against her consciousness: loneliness. There's a pause, and then the creature takes off into the air. It flies toward them, but veers in order to not get too close. The creature flies wide berth around the rowboat, catching everyone's attention, and then it flies at the Nighshade, disappearing out of sight because of its diminutive size and the distance to the ship.
It takes a little bit, but the rowboat finally makes it back to the Nightshade. One of the twins is on deck, and he yells to the rest of the crew that the captain has returned. Soon, everyone is back on board. (There is no sign of the little dragon.) At first, the only sailor to act like they care much for the state of Ebokk is Gramps. (You haven't seen Scrub yet; he might be sleeping below.) But Bosun Grout — still naked from the waist up — finally appears to take notice of the dwarf's state and suggests he lie down in their quarters. The two head in that direction while Toothless heads below, leaving Lefty on deck to continue his watch while surreptitiously looking at the adventurers occasionally.
OOC: Coincidentally, the pseudodragon is part of the module. Christmas has yet to come.
Jambiya will stand looking around expectantly, then her shoulders slump, and the air seems to go out of her. "That was some adventure. I mean, it was exciting, and scary, and... well, literally death-defying. But I miss home, and Seldom Spring is still a long way away. I'm ready to be back there already. I miss my dads." She turns to look at the island as it starts to move away (if the ship is getting under way, or just look at it if not). "Also, I'm really tired you guys. If it's okay, I'm gonna go take a nap and let you guys handle the treasure? And, um, Flindabar."
After bringing all their belongings to the ship and reacquainting himself with all of the sailor fellows (getting their names all wrong in the process), Maldorn sits down to finally enjoy a smoke: "I don't think I lit one of these up in over 24 hours... what stress and focus do to you, am I right?" A bit curious about the third kind of special herb he purchased in Waterdeep, he fills one bowl of Vanilla Cavendish and prepares enough tobacco for 2 cigarettes. He pinches enough for just one dosage and places it in his green serpent smoking pipe, and then, relaxes for a bit while puffing some smoke. The old man makes sure to save the other half of the bowl for later.
After a couple of minutes, while still smoking, he'll approach Grout to ask if he saw anything: "I never heard a single blow of that horn I lent you. I guess that means you and your crew saw no danger while waiting for us, right?" The ranger extends his hand, hoping to not only get an answer to his question but also his horn back.
The next affair in his mental list is to begin examining the loot the group collected, as instructed by Jambiya. First, he makes himself useful by explaining to everyone how the vat of Keoghtom's ointment works, noting that there are 4 doses left in the jar. Then, he will study the vial containing a milky substance which is stamped with three teardrops in a triangle. If needed, and as part of his analysis, he'll lightly tap his little finger's tip into the milk and have the tiniest of tastes.
Anafrey would empty out her pockets and place the daggers and hand crossbow on the pile, along with the new flail. "That is everything I collected on the island... I wouldn't mind holding on to some of those weapons but I want you guys to have a say if you want them. " She would say after returning from her quarters with her flask full once again.. taking a few long sips.
OOC: Holding off on the part aimed at Grout, as he hasn't yet returned from his cabin after going in with Ebokk.
Maldorn, you walk the ship with your things, stowing this and that below deck, you find it hard to pin down Scrub. It's almost as if he's trying to avoid you (which is quite a feat in the small confines of the ship). When you do finally greet him, he can't quite meet your gaze and makes an excuse to scurry away almost immediately. Back up on deck, as you enjoy your smoke, you feel your tongue loosen and your confidence strengthen. (CON -1, CHA +1) Studying the vial, you do decide to taste the contents. It tastes like wet chicken feathers. You recognize this as snake venom.
Anafrey, as you put the flail down on the pile of weapons, you feel the curious sensation of sadness and longing. It's very slight and very fleeting.
"Hey.. I umm. I Think I would like the flail.. If you all don't mind." She would say within moments of adding it to the loot pile.. looking anxiously at the weapon.
Jambiya, you find Gramps preparing something to eat. "You look like you had a few scrapes on the island," he says, happy to converse with you. "The captain looks pretty banged up."
Erric is fine with Anafrey taking the heavier weapons - he just wants his rapier back. He closely examines the scroll tube for any traps and then tries to open it...
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
He shows the gibberish to the rest of the group. "Anyone read this?" As a bit of a jack of all trades, has Erric come across this type gibberish before, or does he have any guesses of what language it might be?

Erric is ready to get back to the ship and will help the others do so.
Anafrey is also ready. She will grab hold of the dingy and get ready to help push it into the open water before climbing in.

Jambiya went down with Anafrey to their cabin, and when she leaves, Jambiya climbs in the hammock to try to nap. But something is bugging her.
She tries to reach out with her mind to the little dragon.
OOC > I know she’s not third level yet, so not expecting much success at this range, but let me know.

Jambiya, you reach out with your mind to try to communicate with the little dragon, but you're pretty sure it was unsuccessful.
She is going to get up again and go find Gramps. One the trip here she spent some time with him cooking, iirc.
